Love it but it shattered my phone

    • Written by from Kansas City

I recently bought the iPhone 5S along with this case. I loved the case at first and loved how slim it was until i dropped my phone 2 feet and it completely shattered. Id you drop your phone a lot, do not get this case.

Would've been nice but the leather rubs off!

    • Written by from Edmond

When i got my iphone 5s I got this case to go along with it and i was very satisfied with it but only after 3 days of around the house use the leather started to rub off and show a completely different shade of blue! Im disappointed because if it werent for that it would've been the perfect case but despite the issue apple support was apple to provide a different replacement case for me.

    Great Case Lacking Docking Ability

    • Written by from Washington

I love the case, it's essentially form fitting and looks great, that's why I bought it. It should be a 5 star case and I would give it that rating but it does not event connect with Apple's own dock! I think it's crazy that some cheaper cases fit without a problem and the case designed by Apple and adorning it's very own logo does not. I use a dock to charge at night / to listen to music and I'm very disappointed that I have to take the this case off two do so. I still have a week left to return it, because knowing my luck Apple will release a more dock friendly case in a few months....

    Great feel, disappointing design.

    • Written by from Brooklyn

Very light and feels great. Fits the phone well. Pretty slim fit - about the same thickness as a naked 4S. But uncharacteristically, they missed the details:

    - Difficult to access mute switch. I need to reach in with the tip of my finger or I can't catch the edge. Annoying, but tolerable.
    - Sleep and volume buttons are difficult to press. There aren't cutouts for these buttons, just slightly embossed leather. The volume button response is duller, but tolerable. The sleep button, however, is a chore to activate. This is a deal breaker. Every time I put the phone down, it leaves me frustrated. They've been at this too long to not get this right.
    - Headphone jack cutout is too small. Good luck getting non-Apple headphones plugged in through the tiny opening they've afforded for the headphone jack. Personally, this is a total dealbreaker.

They almost hit it out of the park. Instead, it's a swing and a miss.

    Pretty, useless = pretty useless

    • Written by from Washington

    The case is fine, expect...

Come on: so obnoxious not to support Apple's own expensive thirty-pin adapters. Either incompetence -- more "elegance" over function thinking -- or a deliberate tactic intended to make obsolete all but the latest generation of products.

In either case, annoying and lame.

Shows age at an incredible place

    • Written by from Guntersville

In terms of how it fits, you can tell is the first case designed to complement the iPhone and not cover it up.
Unfortunately, that's where the good stops. I have on this case, the yellow color, or exactly 5 days, and it already looks absolutely terrible. I understand that weather will age and wear over time, but after five days my yellow case already has more gray on it than the original color. Will most likely be returning it later today.

    Be careful

    • Written by from SMITHTOWN

Great looking. Great feel. Be aware that all those $40.00 30 pin to lightning adapters you bought to run your accessories ( including ones made by Apple) will not fit with this case on. I am so disappointed that Apple feel asleep at the wheel with this. I now must decide to either take the case off when I need to dock the phone or return the case. Looks like the case is going make. Real shame because the case could have been perfect

    Not worth it

    • Written by from WASHINGTON

This case is slim, which is a plus. However, just from sliding in and out of my pocket all day, schmutz and lint get visibly trapped between the inside edge of the case and the phone frame itself--unsightly and annoying. I'm going back to my old "bumpers"-style case, which has a less bulky feel and more industrial texture than this new leather one. Also, the embossed Apple logo on the back of this case appears in the online pictures to be a slightly lighter shade of gray than the rest of the black case. In fact, the Apple logo is exactly the same color as the rest of the case; it is merely pressed into the leather and, as such, is barely visible.

    Hard to press the buttons

    • Written by from Tracy

The quality of the case seems very good. However, with the case on, it is little hard to press the power on buttons and volume buttons. With iPhones 5s, you have the option to double click on the home button (using fingerprint scanner) to turn the phone on.
With so many good reviews, i'm thinking of trying it one more time. It could be that mine is defective

great feel, but hole to small for many auxiliary cables

    • Written by from Charlotte

Pros: lightweight, fits like a glove, and feels great.
Cons: Many auxiliary cables, including the Belkin cable sold in Apple Stores, have jacks too wide to fit in the small hole that the case provides. That's a major pain if you have several non-bluetooth speaker systems that you want to plug into.
