    Do Not Buy in Blue!

    • Written by from Durham

When I bought my iphone I bought the blue case with it. For a $40 case it was horrible! Within a week the leather looked dirty and scratched (even though I take good care of my phone) If you want to buy this case buy it in black, otherwise do NOT get it at all.

    Not Worth it

    • Written by from san francisco

Very beautiful case. Fits great; iPhone still remains thin. But, i bought a beige and a red case. BOTH, with 2 days use looked like 2 years use, especially the beige. Scratches very easily, the corners get black just by rubbing your finger tip.

    Does not protect, Wears easily

    • Written by from Vancouver

I dropped my phone on flat tile, the frame of my phone was dented and the screen popped out.. my phone is screwed. It doesn't protect, the phone falls out of the case when dropped. The quality isn't so great, the leather is already scraping off, and looks dirty. my case is 1 month old. This case is overpriced and does not protect as well as the rubber TPU ones found on ebay.

perfect for 1 day and then :(

    • Written by from Tulsa

I really really REALLY want to love this case! i wanted the leather look and was looking for the case to age a little to be able to have that rough or old leather look that just looks super classy. Instead after 2 days of use the corners turned black and the leather dye started to come off. the case was never in my jean pockets or anything and i tried to take care of it as much as possible. Super disappointed :( I went to the apple store to see if they knew how to take care of the product to clean it and further protect it to avoid the black edges but all they said was "well there is nothing we can do. We don't know why is like this but i guess you can bring the box and return it if you want".

APPLE should have informed the customer of this issue or "side effect" so customer know what they are getting into. also maybe be a little more informed about it at the stored wouldn't harm. Still love Apple products but ill stick to the electronics and that's it.To be a company that is known for their SUPERIOR DIFFERENCE MAKING PRODUCTS this time they fell way short.

    Bad and Beautiful

It Looked very nice and good looking at first, but after a few days the color around the corners start changing and getting darker and after a small falling down it will look like an old vintage case.

Well made leather cases that get dirty way to easy.

    • Written by from Midland

Apple had made such a nice leather cases. Yes the fit is super tight, very hard to get off, a lot head jacks and not all lightning adapter and plug will fit. Price is fine for a leather case. These were problem I knew when making the purchases. The problem not expect was how easy this brown leather get dirty so fast. The case I have is going from brown to a dirty black at an alarmingly quick rate, especially around the edges. I like the case and do not want to return it. Unless I can find a way to clean it Apple might be getting a return.

    Beautiful case, but stains easily

    • Written by from Highland

Love the design of the case. It's thin, protects, and feels great to hold. However, I returned mine after only 5 days because it was already stained from keeping it in my jeans pocket. The apple store employees told me that's just because it's leather, but leather wallets don't have this problem. I think black is the only case most people will be able to keep looking nice.

    Beautiful case but…

    • Written by from Las Vegas

I got the black leather case the same day I purchased my slate 5s on release day. The case is beautifully crafted giving the phone enough protection while enhancing the overall look and feel of the iPhone with leather. My gripe with this particular case is that it works with ZERO accessories Apple has made for the phone—that alone takes so much away from the pluses of getting this case. The 30-pin adapter wouldn't reach the port, the 30-pin cable adapter has a plug that has a bigger diameter than the Lightning port opening on the case, and the dock of course couldn't dock with the short dongle unable to reach the port securely—heck I even tried getting the dock for the 5c in hopes that the thicker 5c would have a dock that might work for a cased 5s—NOPE! Only the cable that came with the phone fits, and same goes for the headphones so buyer beware. It's too bad that such a beautifully design case also comes with a lot of hind-sighted design cues (what no one bothered thoroughly testing this product in real-world scenarios?). Unlike others that bought this leather case and is plagued with leather degradation or staining issues, I have none of that (caveat: I take care of my stuff with OCD-like care). What I do have is a beautiful case that doesn't work with any peripheral or adapter, 3rd party or not, and that to me should be cause for alarm for Apple since it is a sign of them not being thorough like everyone perceives them to be. Design should never forget function and it never has to be either or.

    Use & tear

    • Written by from New York

This product looks and feels great but it starts to show signs of wear and tear in about 5-6 days.
the beige gets dirty quick, and the leather stars to show signs of damaging.

worst thing: will not work with the lighting to 3pin converter. i still use my old iphone charger with the converter at times and i have to remove my cover all the time.
    its a real pain

    BRING BACK THE NAPA LEATHER!!!

    • Written by from Long Beach

I love the look and feel of this case, and I was looking forward to purchasing it for my iPhone 5 the moment it was announced. The wear however, is terrible. After only a few weeks of use, the case looks dirty, and the brown color is already starting to wear off around the edges. I expected much more from an apple product.

They should bring back the old napa leather used on the old iPod classic case by apple 7 years ago. Those were $99 but worth every penny!

    Not a fan

    • Written by from Wellington

I loved the light feel of the case at first, but the corners started to rip within a couple days. I then noticed how dirty it became in such a short time.

The kicker, my phone is now damaged after one drop. I have owned iPhones for years and have always been satisfied with how the cases I have protect my phone. That is after all why we have cases...right?? I'll be the first to admit that I drop my phone quite a bit, but that is why I get sturdy cases. I figured a case that Apple specifically makes for the phone would be just that, but I guess I was wrong.

I would recommend looking for a different case.

Looks and feels good But some issues

    • Written by from Tempe

The cover feels great to hold with the phone. Below are some Pros and cons
    Pros:
    1) Feels light.
    2) Adds just right volume for comfortable grip. Felt a bit slippery to hold for first 2 days but feels much better after that.

    Cons:
    1) I use Bose MIE2I earphones. The Cover is blocking the pin from entering completely. So have to press a bit harder for that.
    2) Prone to catch Dirt (except the black Cover). Not sure if can be cleaned easily but saw some demo covers in the apple store which had some dirt on the edges.
    3) Bit pricey for the protection it is providing.

    Sleek but...

    • Written by from Winter Springs

Love the new leather case. It almost feels as if there isn't a case at all on the phone which I welcome because most cases add way too much bulk.

With that it is so very hard to remove. If you plan on leaving it on long term, go for it. If you're needing to remove the case for docking, etc. probably want to make a different choice. Although I must say I love it so much it is worth the struggle to remove it.

I've also been over cautious with setting the phone down because of the leather. Always worried if the surface is wet or not. I have the case roughly a week and already there is one little dot (stain) that's driving me crazy!

I purchased the RED one. Really love the case overall. I'm going to get the saddle tan one because I think that color will wear naturally and look good even if it is worn and stained.

    I expected more

    • Written by from Columbia

This case doesn't feel like real leather to me, and when compared with a ten dollar case i picked up from zoogue, i just can't justify keeping the apple case. for almost 40 dollars, I expected more from Apple.
