    Really enjoy these EarPods...

    • Written by from Marietta

I have been going through headphones (and ear pods) with my iPhone for the past year. I think these will be a pair that I will have for a long time.

    Surprisingly good!

    • Written by from Corona

First off, the fit is amazing and I love the way they sound as well. The lows are very pronounced and the acoustics are spot on! That being said, the highs are below par. I cannot really clearly hear frequencies above 9Hz. However, that's not really the type of thing I expect from earbuds such as these. Overall, I love these headphone.

Great sound unfortunately not too comfortable

    • Written by from suwanee

1st of all let me say that I am an audiophile and ive owned several in ear headphones. I must say these headphones are amazing. It has clean highs the mids are very precise and the bass is pretty impressive. i actually now use these headphones for my everyday.

now the only reason im giving it 4 stars is because after i wear my headphones for about an hour and a half or so the headphones start to hurt my ears. dont get me wrong they fit great but after a an hour in a half they really start to make my ears sore.

but for price point and quality these headphones are perfect!

Great audio but difficult-to fit ears will be disappointed

    • Written by from San Francisco

I have difficult to fit ears, and the only headsets I've found that don't fall out are the gel ones, specifically the Bose Mie2. The EarPods are disappointing in comparison: when on a treadmill or when using the in-line remote, the earpiece falls out.

However, music listening quality is superior to old Apple earphones and only a bit short of the high-end Bose M-Series on the clarity of the bass (which are of course much more expensive but are a popular high-end choice that I also own).

Voice (call) quality is excellent, on par with the Bose M-series, a little better than old earphones.

    Comfortability over all else

    • Written by from Centereach

I am a video editor and while editing all day a lot of different headphones can become very uncomfortable. The benefit of the new EarPods is that I can wear them all day with little discomfort. However, while I do use them while editing, I switch to different headphones when editing sound. The quality of sound is decent, but a lot of outside noise gets in (I work on the ground floor next to a busy street in NYC). Definitely worth it for the comfort, although I got them with my iPhone, so Im not sure if I would've bought them separately.

Perfect Bass, but always fall off ears

    • Written by from Muar

The new apple earpods comes with mic and with cheaper price, the sound is amazing compared to the old ones, but the shape still cannot hold it in my ear and can be easily fall off with little movement of your head. The sound is loud enough but still cannot block the environmental sound. This earpods is suitable only for non sport use

    Genius

    • Written by from Chicago

The sound in my original Apple earbuds was always pretty good. But, these EarPods are just about perfect (for earbuds). The shape, wow, why did it take everyone so long to come up with one the same shape as the inside of the ear! The speaker portion facing directly into your ear canal, sure beats the speaker aiming right for the skin on the inside of my ear. I have bought every expensive earbud in the last year trying to find solid music quality, and now Apple has a GREAT set for 30 bucks! I love Apple!!!!! Genius!!!!!

Better sound, but still too large

    • Written by from INDIANAPOLIS

These headphones have a MUCH better sound quality than the prior EarPods. They are a bit large and hard to keep in if you have small ears, but overall a better earphone!

    They sound amazing but...

    • Written by from Brooklyn

they're no high end headphones. I have no idea why people keep saying they're better than their high ends. What high ends are you listening to? I have the Shure SE535 and they're are arguably the best inears ever created. Also very expensive. But Apple's headphones don't even come close. So whatever "highend" you were listening to before, go get some new, real ones.

    Best headphones for $29

    • Written by from Somerville

Not perfect, but close. For $29 dollars there isn't anything with such a universal fit and well balanced sound. They also took the time to improve the buttons.

    Apple EarPods

    • Written by from Batislava

Today I bought thr new Apple EarPods and I am totally happy. I putted them in my ears and Idont feel any hurt. Even after 3 hours of listening I dont feel as I have any headphones in my ears. And they are not falling out of the ear! The range of music frequency is from 20Hz to 2000Hz. Its the average of usuall street headphones. But sound from the new EarPods sounds more clearly and they are more comfortable, as I mentioned. I one of the greatest things is that when I am listening, walking on a street, I dont hear any backgrounds noises from my surrounding,... just listen the music. And they couldnt hear what Iam hearing :)

(BTW sorry for grammar, Iam from Slovakia)

As a worker of samsung earpiece development division

    • Written by from Haworth

i worked for samsung earpiece development division for nearly a decade, devoting my life IN creation of better earpiece for our people. I've seen many prototypical designs with exceptional quality, and most (99%) of those earphones were rubber budded or rubber coated for noise canceling / louder bass / and FITTING perfectly.

i think the apple's earpieces problem is that it NEVER has given us a good earpiece that would sit tight on our ears that are not rubber coated.

so why wouldnt have apple made their new EarPod rubber coated IF THEY ARE CAPABLE OF DOING IT? i dont know.

maybe they had a covet deal with 3rd earphone companies not to monopoly the earpiece market, so apple only provide basic, inferior earphones to the consumers so the producers could make money.

but if apple really wants to compete in earpiece market as a company not for iPhone but earpiece it makes, then Steve Job's substitude shall consider the numerous reviews about its latest earpiece not fitting well in many ears and weak bass ( probably leak from gap between ear and the earphone

New earbuds are a winner, but Apple Marketing should get it together!

    • Written by from MOBILE

Was very surprised in the performance of these ear buds. Sound is very good for the price, even better than my $99 earbuds. I have small ear openings, so the fact that these buds stay in place is amazing. Have not tried any activities to test their staying power but am very pleased so far. Why they don't come in BLACK is a mystery - white iphone = white earbuds; black iPhone = black earbuds - come on Apple Marketing get it together, we've been here before.

    So much better!

    • Written by from Negaunee

These are a large step above the vastly outdated and inferior designs of old. They fit better, actually stay in, and the biggest improvement? They actually sound decent! I'd say they're well worth the $29. I've got other headphones and earbuds I'd rather wear, but since these came with my phone I had to give 'em a try. I approve!

    Good earbuds

    • Written by from Jacksonville

I have used the Apple In-Ear Headphones in the past and I was really pleased with them. I picked these up to do an ear-to-ear comparison. It seems that these have better frequency response than the In-Ear Headphones. The bass is deeper than on those. The only complaint I have is that they *feel* like they are going to fall out of my ears, but when I go to check them, they are solidly in place. Nice buds for the price.
