    :/

    • Written by from morristown

i bought 2 pairs from the apple store, with the first pair within a month the right earphone stoped working, and honestly their great headphones! if you have both of them :(, with one it sounds very obsolete, and it made it harder for me to hear out of my left ear. With the second pair i was much more careful with them, and the right earphone, AGAIN stop playing music. now i do not have headphones :(. and if it helps, i only used the ipod 4th gen with them. strangely enough the controller (witch is located on the right side) still works on both. i hate to say this (because i really like the company) but i see why so many people hate apple :/.

    Great while they lasted

    • Written by from Lexington

I got these for Christmas, and they sound great! Definitely a step up from the old stock earphones that would come with iPhones and iPods. These Earpods fit my ears well and rarely fall out. The mic quality is also pretty good and I can get a good sound without having to hold it up to my mouth. My favorite part of these EarPods are the volume control. The controls are built nicely and I have no problem pausing and playing tracks. Skipping tracks can be either a hit or a miss, sometimes it skips, sometimes it just ends up pausing the song.
What I don't like is just a few days ago the right ear stopped working and I can only hear sound coming from the left EarPod. This is pretty disappointing and I was hoping this wouldn't happen like it has with other Apple earphones. Alas, for $30, these aren't so bad. I'd definitely recommend them.

    Headphones

Got them out of the package and the wires were showing a little. Then started using them and now one headphone doesn't even work. They only lasted a few months, but they sound good.

    Good but Cheap Material

    • Written by from Elmwood Park

The sound is great. The Remote and Mic keeps on breaking. The remote was causing crackle and the wires broke off. On my second pair and the Remote and Mic broke again.

    Good if free but...

    • Written by from Peterborough

They are OK, and good looking, but the special features (mic etc.) only work on newer i-products. Also, the cord is too short (not practical to use with my desktop at all). Sound is good, but does not compare to Bose buds.

    HORRIBLE!

These headphones are so uncomfortable! I can only where for a short time before they start hurting and irritating my ears. I thought apple would come out with more comfortable ones!

    Good sound but extremely uncomfortable

    • Written by from Woodbury

These have good sound and they stay in my ears better than the old pair of headphones but these earpods are SO EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I can only wear them for a short amount of time and then when I take them out, my ears ache. I've only ever bought apple headphones and hate buying another brand, but unless the design gets redone, I don't believe I will be buying another pair.

    Great sound, but...

    • Written by from Columbus

All the hooplah from Apple about how it's shaped to fit the ear and yet this thing is uncomfortable as it gets! Would it kill Apple to use a little foam or rubber for comfort's sake?

Sound is great, but I just can't wear these for more than 10 minutes, so pretty worthless to me.I gave it 2 stars for the sound quality, deducting 3 stars for lack of comfort.

    Terrible

    • Written by from philadelphia

These are the cheapest, most uncomfortable earphones I have ever tried. They are painful to the inner ear and the cord shorted out the very day I recieved them and tried them with my iPhone. I replaced them right away with a much better and comfortable pair of Sony earphones.

a product that defaces apple legacy

    • Written by from singapore

They’re sleek and light, with a curvy, teardrop shape that makes much more ergonomic sense. They’re not as snug as rivals with ear tips that burrow into the ear canal, but I do not find them that comfortable.

The sound is spacious, the detail is good and there’s a solid grip of rhythm and dynamics. Compared to the closest rivals, however, they’re a little harsh in the midrange, and could do with more clarity and precision.

Volume Control Broke in 4 Months!

    • Written by from Fairfield

Initially I was very happy with this earbuds. Then the volume control broke after 4 months. Very unhappy. For no reason , the controls stopped working. For the price they should have been made better, I expect the best from Apple.

    Controls Broken

    • Written by from Pinellas Park

Headphone work great however are useless now since the volume controls no longer work. Not exactly sure why they don't work even though the microphone does. Either way they stopped working after having them less than three months and my roommates stopped working after one month. Consider this.

    Great song, horrible reliability.

    • Written by from Brisbane

I am currently on my 6th Pair of apple Headphones and even though they sound quality is great, i have found them to not last longer then 2 months before the left speaker either goes real quiet compared to the right or the left speaker dies completely. My Hope was that the upgrade to Earpods might of had fixed the problem, but alas the problem is still the same. I am not being rough with them and it seems to be the same issue with every pair. My old Sennheisers have lasted over a year and still work. Wont be buying apple headphones ever again. Rather spend $100 on something reliable then $30 every 2 months on these!

    Good sound, But uncomfortable.

    • Written by from Winnetka

These ear buds sound great, and I havnt had any problems with them falling out. But they are uncomfortable. The mini speaker on the flat side of the buds are terrible. The edges of them are sharp and they have actually scratched the inside of my ear and drew blood because of the sharp edge on the side. Apple should have made the edge of that side speaker beveled or something. Apple should invest in making ear buds with the soft interchangeable ear bud sizes that would be fantastic.

Fall out... every time I turn my head...

    • Written by from Groningen

I love Apple... I love most of their products. But these earphones fall out every single time I twist my head. The 'form', once again came before the 'function', so they are all white, shiny... sleek looking and smooth. Which is why they fall out, every time... A huge letdown needless to say. The sound is brilliant but if they keep falling out that quality doesn't even count. Also the fact that forums are filled with people having the same issue as me, and 'do it yourself' guides to 'preventing the eapods to fall out' popping up here and there means this is a real issue.

    Bad Design

    • Written by from Winnetka

I gave it 2 Star for Great sound they produce in their price rang. But what good is the sound if they don’t stay in your ear for a second. Apple claims that they researched on hundreds of ears to come up with this design, but I would say that it all went to waste. Maybe they should have scanned my ears too. Don’t get me wrong though I have perfectly normal ears it the earphone that looks weird.

Doesn't works with Shuffle 3th, sounds bad and doesn't fit in my ears

    • Written by from Feira de Santana

I don't see that this earphone doesn't work with the 3th shuffle iPod, it's so bad for me because this iPod doesn't have buttons, i need a earphone that works!

The bass hits my ears, it doesn't sound nice for me. But some persons could like. And don't fit very well in my ears.

The older earphone are better in all these senses.
