    Best Sound

    • Written by from Laguna Beach

They really do work much better than the last apple ear buds I used, and now I don't have to turn the volume all the way up to get the full sound. I had no idea what I was missing, and I would recommend these to anyone who has the older model

My only complaint is that the wires coming out of (and going into) the volume control have little edges that snag on the collar of my dress shirts when I turn my head to the right.

    Pretty good for $30

    • Written by from POINT PLEASANT BORO

They have really nice sound quality. I used to have SO many problems with other earbuds; the hard plastic ones hurt and the silicone bubble ones constantly fell out. These, however, fit my ear perfectly and haven't fallen out once. I've had them since November, and the only complaint I have is that they shock me CONSTANTLY in the left ear. Really annoying, but I saw that tons of people had the same problem and since it's not damaging to the earpods or my ear, I'm willing to put up with it for the amazing bass. Overall, great headphones for a great price.

    Nice product

    • Written by from Cottekill

I'm not an audiophile, but I find these earpods to have a much higher quality sound than the Apple earphones they replaced. They fit in my ears securely, never falling out during my runs or other exercise routines. There may be better units available at this price point, but none I've seen have the unique shape of the earpods. I do not like the kind that fit inside my ear canal. They never stay put and I have sanitary concerns. The kind that fit over or around my ears are too bulky and cause sweating during workouts.
If you're interested in these I suggest buying direct from Apple so you can rest assured your not buying one of the many clever knockoffs out there. It's worth the money for peace of mind.

    Apple EarPods

    • Written by from Atlantic Beach

The new Apple EarPods are great headphones. I love them. There is only one problem. The 2 places where there is wire mesh allows wax to buildup. The mesh should be level with the surface of the EarPod. Similar to the old Apple earphones. This would keep wax out.

    not for all ears..

    • Written by from Gilbert

A huge improvement from the original earbuds! However, I guess I have 2 different shaped ears because with all earbuds of any kind, one fits perfectly in my left ear and one always falls out in my right. If you are considering actually buying these separately, try to find a friend that has them so you can try them out and see if they fit in your ears.

Much improved from the previous model

    • Written by from Richlands

Overall these headphones provide a very clear and crisp sound with bass that's clean and not overpowering. Comparing these to the previous model would be like apples and oranges as its in a higher class.. I rate it 4/5 due to the fitment being one size fits all but is assumed that the design has to do with it. The inline controls are its short comings as it has you to do a series of multi taps and/or holds to exicute a function. Just one more thing to try to remember and fumble around with. All in all if you like clear, precise sound, these are for you. I would compare the earpods to higher dollar headphones due to the sound quality.

    Price 5/5
    Fitment 3/5
    Sound Quality 5/5
    Controls 2/5
    Design 3/5

Great sound if they fit your ears

    • Written by from Jersey City

These earphones have a quirky design. I typically use bud style earphones and they fit me the best. But if I wear the left earpod into the right ear and right into the left ear, they fit me quite well (not for hours use, as they start hurting a little). The previous Apple earphones were a disgrace to sound but they felt more comfortable. Not sure why they didn't keep the rubberized edges on the earpods. Alright, enough about the fit. If they fit you, then read ahead...

The sound is phenomenal. And by phenomenal, I mean faithful and crisp. The bass isn't overpowering but punchy, mids are present and the highs are not shrieking in your ears. For someone looking for a great earphones pair (non bud style), Apple earpods should be tried!

    works for me

The work great for me! Super good quality and i can barely feel them in my ear! They dont keep the sound plugged that well though, so if ur sitting next to some with the volume up they will hear what your listening to.

    Great Product!!

    • Written by from Peachtree City

First of all, they feel GREAT in your ear. I had them in for about 3 hours and they didn't hurt at all. The sound is AMAZING too. The bass sounds like a beast. They're great for $30, but I would like to see them for $20 or $25. Great Product!!

Don't Fall Out of Ears, But Hurt

    • Written by from Woodinville

These headphones are way better than the older ones, but after wearing them for 20 minutes or so they start to hurt, but if you take them out for about 5 seconds and put them back it won't hurt your ears anymore.
Other than that these headphones are great, and they don't fall out of your ears.

    Almost Perfect

    • Written by from FREDERICK

I am an outdoor runner and my iPod/iPhone has been my companion for years. The new earbuds design fits comfortably in the ears. The sound is much improved. I get deep base sound even without a headband over my ears. The remote switch is more robust and easier to feel on cold days when I am wearing a glove. I consider this new earbud a much improved product and would recommend this to my friends.

The only reason I gave these 4 stars was because the remote does not work with my iPod touch 4th generation

Better sound but they don't stay in the ears as well

    • Written by from Edmonton

I'm comparing them to the previous model. The current version has much better bass, a remote which seems more durable, and has beautiful phones. I just wish I didn't have to keep putting them back in my ears, and that wind noise was less of an issue. I'm also concerned that the left ear/right ear fork in the wiring looks a bit fragile (although no worse than with the earlier edition).

    Review from an Audiophile

    • Written by from orcutt

The only reason I have these is because they came with my iPhone 5. That being said, If you are looking for cheap ear-buds your search stops here.

If you don't care what type of headphone it is (in-ear/on-ear/over-ear) you just want the best sound for $30, then I say go for an on-ear or over-ear headphone instead.

Companies like Sennheiser and AKG produce on-ear and over-ear headphones that sound significantly better for the same price.

But if you specifically want ear-buds for $30 you should definitely buy these. If you are willing to pay more for ear-buds with higher quality then look elsewhere such as the brands I previously referred to.

And remember if you are going to spend a lot of money for quality and not a fashion statement, do not buy Beats by Dre/Bose/Skullcandy, those are jokes in audiophile communities.

    New Earpods

    • Written by from Mumabi

    Dear Team,

I purchased the new ear pods worth Rs.2090/- from RSG premium reseller India (Bombay), only thing which i want to say is the ear-pod doesn't fix properly in my right ear as it fits well in Left. I think more ergonomic design similar to BOSE is needed. But still I would recomment to buy the same as it gives excellent acoustic.

    Good for the price

    • Written by from Calgary

Value: overall, for the cost, in my opinion their the best in their class, great deal for comfy earbuds with a mic and remote, and no question a huge improvement over the old ones.

Build quality: pretty good, just for average use you won't have any problems, I wouldn't whip them around or be rough, but again, much better then the old ones,

Sound: 100% better then the old ones, for their cost, there are for sure not many earbuds for 30$ that sound like this. Bass is good, mids and highs average. A downside, is that it has the same problem with the old ones where they don't direct sound very well, and Anyone close to you can hear to your music. They are great for anyone who doesn't mind not hearing crisp, clear sound that would come with higher quality earbuds.

Overall: great value, they look extremely... Odd but whatever. If all you have to spend is 30$, then get these, if you want earbuds with better sound and higher build quality, then there is no doubt you should spend a bit more money and buy some different, higher quality earbuds.
