    Awesome except for

When I listen to music others around me say they can hear my music when it is only at like between half and three quarters and it gets annoying them telling me to turn it down, and by the time I turn it down to where they can barely hear it it is pretty quiet but I think it is all of the speaker holes on the outside

Doesn't work with 3rd Generation Ipod Shuffle

    • Written by from Curitiba

The Ipod that most need the remote is the 3rd Generation Ipod Shuffle and it doesnt work! Even the paper manual states that it will work, but it doesn't. The sound is incredible though.

    Earpods

    • Written by from Minneapolis

The Earpods are great. They're amazing. The only bad thing about the ones I got is that when I play a song with the Earpods in, I can only hear the backround music of the song and I can barely hear the artist singing. Otherwise they're great.

    Earpods.

    • Written by from Lindsborg

These headphones are amazing! I can't listen to music without them anymore. I got a pair with my New Ipod Touch and I simply could not be happier. But then again, i could. After about a week of ownership, the left one started making a buzzing sound. Distorting music and vocals coming out of it. If i take it out and just kind of tap it a bit on the sides it goes away. But i feel as if its affecting performance. 3 out of 5 for faulty pod, but it doesn't happen very often.

    Awesome sound, not secure fit

    • Written by from Mount Juliet

If cupping your hands over your ears while running wasn't both awkward to see and difficult to master, then these headphones would be perfect. The sound quality rivals anything I've ever put in my ears, but they just don't stay in my ears long enough to enjoy the beautiful sound. I suppose couch potatoes will benefit greatly while those with slightly more active lifestyles will need to buy those little spongy earpod covers to help these headphones stay in their heads.

    Not so good for running

    • Written by from Charleston

I run and Earpods keeps falling out of my ear. Also they bounce and hit my small earrings and make clicking sounds. I prefer the old earphones that came with iPod except that they don't have the remote control and mic.

    Did the design already change?

    • Written by from Honolulu

When I got these with my IP5 (September 2012) I was so happy. They fit my ear perfectly and the sound was awesome. Unfortunately I lost them so I bought a new pair from the Apple store and I immediately noticed a difference in the fit. Not nearly as comfortable.

    Not Good for sports

    • Written by from Babylon

These may be good for everyday traveling, but definitely not for running. They tend to pop out of the ears and within a month of purchasing them the right ear bud goes in and out. This is probably because I used them while running on treadmill. They aren't everything that they were advertised to be. However, I did enjoy listening to music through when traveling.

    Just Ok

    • Written by from Patchogue

Was so excited to try out the new ear pods that came with my iPhone 5, but it's really a let down. They pop out of my ears when I'm sitting down. I wouldn't even try going for a run with these. I'll most likely be using my older Apple ear buds because they seem to work much better and I can actually listen to my music instead of constantly pushing them back in!

    It could be better

    • Written by from Downers Grove

A lot of bass... Really, A LOT. Seriously, where are all other frequencies? Had to turn on treble booster to hear some high-pitched guitar solos. Mids are also poor. Well, for $29,00 you can't expect more, I suppose, but in-ear headphones were better. They fit good in my ears though. Better than in-ear headphones. This gives them 3 stars.

    Nice sound, bad comfort

    • Written by from Cortlandt Manor

The sound that comes out of these phone is pretty good, certainly not as good as the professional phones I used on my job but my audio monitoring earphones cost ten times more. My big complaint is comfort and retention. The Apple EarPods are uncomfortable and fall out of my ears with the slightest head movement. A true audiophile will scrap these phones immediately, or better yet, give them to a friend with an old iPod. Then get a pair of mid priced over the ear headphones. They will sound better, block external noise better, and will stay put. The earphones Sony used to supply with the old Walkman are an adequate substitute for the EarPods.

    Just won't stay in.

    • Written by from Clemmons

The sound on these earbuds is definitely much better than it was on the older model but they simply will not stay in my ears. I read where people say they can exercise without them falling out and I guess they are just lucky because the slightest move causes them to drop right out of my ears. I can't even eat anything while wearing them because the movement of my jaw will cause them to drop. I wish they would work for me but I'm going to have to return them for something else. I give them 3 stars only for the improved sound quality.

Sound quality HUGE upgrade, unfortunately so is the size!

    • Written by from San Diego

The old iphone/ipod ear buds BARELY fit in my ears. I could only use them for about 30 minutes before my ears started throbbing. ugh. but these are like TWICE as big/thick. I can't even fit them in my ear so they kinda just rest right there. I have to have the volume turned way up because they don't fit right. The sound quality is much better from the old ones. I'm just annoyed that I can still hear noises around me with these. I can tell that ergonomically they would be amazing if I could put them in my ear properly. I just wish they made multiple sizes as these are literally jumbo sized.

    Left Ear Stopped Working!

I bought these about a month ago and was super impressed with the sound quality. It fit great in my ears, but then one day the left ear stopped working. I noticed I had to wiggle the end to make it sound, but I would have to hold it.

I want to like these, I really do, but I just can't wear them.

    • Written by from Alexandria

I just purchased these last week. I use earbuds every single day, several hours a day with no problems. But I can't comfortably wear these even for two minutes. I love the look of the design and it seems like it would be an improvement over the old round flat apple earbuds or the more expensive in-ear set with removable buds but I cannot wear them. For my right ear, they fit perfectly - comfortable, with good sound quality - but my left ear is another story. The tiniest bit different shape of the cartilage at the entrance to my ear canal - this is all assumption as my ears don't look any different and are not in anyway freakishly shaped :) - but the slightest difference makes these earbuds unusable. I wear them for just a few minutes and my ear begins to ache - not inside, but outside right at the tip when my cartilage is pressed against the earpiece. I have tried turning the earbuds, pushing them in further, pulling them out further but nothing works. So as much as I hate to say it - be warned. These might not work for you.
