    Ordering yet another cable

    Well, I am now online ordering yet another cable for my daughter's iphone 5. This is at LEAST the 4th or 5th cord I have ordered for her in the past year. All of a sudden, they just stop working. If it was some $5 cord that I got at the dollar store, I would understand, but this is an Apple product. NOT what you would expect. . .and for there to be no acknowledgement from Apple that these cords do not work when reviewer after reviewer says the same thing is just so. . .un-apple-like. Usually, they are so responsive. Is anyone listening at Apple? Figure out what is wrong with these cords or compensate the consumers by replacing them for free.

    Horrible Quality!

    The iPhone 4 charger was a much better quality cord. These cords keep crinking despite how careful I am. I am on my 6th cord in less then a year and a half. Apple refuses to cover it and its really making me angry. I never had this problem with my iPhone 4 charger. Apple… why won't you back your own product?

    WORST CHARGER IVE EVER USED. NOT WORTH THIS EXPENSE

    i've gone through 3 chargers already and i've only had my iphone 5 for about 5 months. My sister has gone through 3 . My boyfriend has gone through 5. i do not travel with my charger and i always handle it with care. Its always in the same place, but it NEVER FAILS TO BREAK. i've never been so disappointed in apple. There is no reason these chargers should be breaking especially not for this ridiculous price.

    Worse than old cable

    This is my 3rd lightning cable. Cables broke easy. Phone dont recognize cable sometime, it's show screen can't recognize cable.

    This wire is horrible

    While at first the wire may seem fine just like the old one did, it is horrible in the sense that it stops working very easily, even if not damaged at all. I've gone through about 15 of these wires in the last year and that isn't even an overstatement. Apple needs to work on these wires a lot because this problem isn't just for me, but for most ppl I know who use the wire. Luckily when I bring it into the Apple store they just replace it for me but that's such an annoyance.

    APPLE HAS THE WORST CHARGE CORD EVER IT HAS BEEN LESS THAN 4 MONTHS & I HAVE TO REPLACE THE CORD .

    THIS IS UNFAIR AND UNJUST . We all should complain more as this is ridiculous !!!

    This charger is horrible period. I've bought 3 in the last 6 months and none of them last more than 3 months. I've treated them well and that doesn't even seem to make difference in the amount of time they last. The part of the softer cord nearest to the lightning pin always seems to be the part that defaults the fastest.

    Awful charger

    I am tired of buying these chargers. This charger over heated and broke on me twice!!!!!!!!!!! I have had three of them and they all did the same thing. I suggest you get the lighting to 30 pin adapter cause this one stinks!!!!!!!

    Just what I expect from Apple - junk!

    I really tried to give you guys a chance but here we go, a useless piece of junk! My daughters cable lasted less than a month! IU thought maybe she was the cause but just read these angry customer's comments Apple! There are no visual signs of abuse or damage, just a non-working cable that costs a fortune. For an $800 dollar iPad, this is very ridiculous! You are about to lose another customer for good Apple - now I will be trading my iPhone for a real phone, Android!!!

    $30+ for a cable w/o the adapter. That's right, a cable.

    This is more of a gripe with the design of the lightning cable. This may not happen to everyone, but the connecting part of the cable to your iPad Air or device is quite fragile. So when you have to resort to the very SHORT cable that came with your device (my iPad Air came with an extremely short lightning cable), you risk having that connection part of bending and possibly worse: snapping.

    We all know that Apple's pricing is quite high. In fact, I thought it was pretty outrageous to dish out another $100 for 16 more gigs of disk space for my iPad Air, but $30 for a cable? That's just as bad as dishing out $40 for a flap cover (aka: Smart Cover). So granted, this 2 meter lightning cable should have come as standard with my iPad Air, but it isn't. Since the original cable that came with it already snapped, I had to buy this one. And guess what? No data or charge can run through it. I ended up having a defective cable and had to go back to my local Apple Store, wait for almost an hour, just to get another one. Horrible.

    Cable no longer works

    The cable i purchased no longer works. It lasted for about 4 months. I've had an iPhone since the 3G, and this is the first time I've been disappointed with an Apple product. It seems like this isn't an isolated issue. Please fix this Apple.

    Ha!!! No need to even utilize the 300 word count! A PIECE OF JUNK!!! Apple should be ashamed! This is my 3rd cord in only 3 months. APPLE YOU GUYS REALLY NEED TO MAKE A CHANGE AND COMPENSATE THE CUSTOMERS! Very unhappy :(

    I am writing this on every cable review for the IPHONE 5's, I have bought 2 cables and received one for Christmas. All three are already been pulled apart. I do not abuse the cables at all. I have tried grabbing it in different places. And they still get pulled apart. First they start not charging and I play around and push it in more and then it will work. They are poorly made, I never have bought another charger for any apple product EVER! Seriously thinking about switching over to a more reliable and better quality manufacture!!

    You can return a broken one! Don't keep repurchasing!

    As with many of the reviewers here, our iphone 5 cords don't last very long. However, it's good to know that their products are covered for a year. You can take broken cord into apple store with receipt and they will give you a new one.

    If you keeping buying new ones, they will never fix the problem (they're making too much money off us). As long as we are returning them every month or two (which is about the amount of time they last), they'll lose money and fix the stupid cord.

    Ive had my iphone 5s and its charger for about 4 months and I cant believe it does not work anymore! very upset with the quality of chargers overall, family members with androids have never complained about their chargers not working! Im truly upset!

    PURE JUNK!

    I have to buy ANOTHER cord because mine has stopped working AGAIN! I'm not a repeat customer becuase the product is good, I'm a repeat customer becuase I have no choice if I want to charge my Iphone 5. I've purchased my last Apple product. If this 4th cord fails, Im simply getting another phone...that isn't Apple. Ive got a MacBook pro and an Ipad and I've long been a loyal Apple customer (since 1985) , but I'm done! Showing this level of disrespect for your customers isn't a way to build a base of supporters. I'm tired of tossing out $30 for a cord that stops working after a few months becuase you think you have us over a barrel. You don't!
