    Best thing EVER!

    • Written by from Albuquerque

I was hesitant to move up from my Mighty Mouse because I really liked the multiple functions of it (moving between spaces and exposing all open windows with separate function clicks), but I did it because of the problems with the scroll ball. I AM IN LOVE! At first I felt like the touch-to-tap was too sensitive so I turned it off and used only the click. This was fine but because I had to be clicking tons in my work I went back after a few weeks and since my hand had gotten used to using the trackpad, an unwanted stray tap was almost unheard of. Makes computer use so easy, nice big area, comfortable, convenient, minimal hand strain, and just wonderful all around. The battery life is nice and long (thanks auto-off!) so I don't have to change batteries often, even using rechargeable batteries. While my husband thought I just wanted it to have the latest gadget from Apple (that too), it was TOTALLY worth it and I can't imagine using a mouse again.

    What a smart product

    • Written by from Montreal

This is a really great product. Wireless mice aren't really that portable because you have to have a hard surface to be able to use it.

The product is super easy to use, very portable, and doesn't cause any strain in your arm/s. I'm giving it 5 stars because there aren't any other wireless trackpads out there, and it does everything you'd expect it to do. I'm a graduate student and I spend about 7 hours a day in the library (that's on top of going to school--yes I'm a dork). My neck starts hurting from staring down at my laptop, so this trackpad and the wireless keyboard allow me to prop my mbp up on some textbooks and enjoy a makeshift desktop set-up in the library carrels.

I just hope they come out with a carry case for the magic trackpad (as well as the wireless keyboard) sometime soon. I worry it's going to get scratched when I put it in my bag.

I owned an iMac 27", not saying that the magic mouse is not good designed, but you need to move you whole arm or lift up the mouse in order to get to the corners for either show all application, or exposé.

With the trackpad, I just simply move my finger, just like you would do it on the iPhone and you have everything you need in your hand.

Plus I think the reclining design could rest my arm more. I mean how could you work on the desk with a flattened trackpad? Even the ones on the laptops are in a slight angle anyways.

This is Perfect for any huge display that runs on apple computer. Dont complain about not being able to work with Windows, this is not a product designed for Windows. This is APPLE website. Come on People, smell the coffee!

    Great Product

I have a Macbook and have always used the trackpad. Love all the options, but missed them when I used my mouse. I just purchased the trackpad and it's G-R-E-A-T! All the options I have now is fantastic. I love how I can surf the web or edit pictures in iPhoto. Great product!

This is the most intuitive trackpad I have ever used. It surely doesn't replace the magic mouse for serious editing in logic and final cut software but for everyday use it's definitely something that anyone should buy. I like how it "matches" the apple wireless keyboard in depth and design. All in all, it's definitely a nice extension to your desk. I recommend it.

Some guy wrote about they interfere with wifi? THAT IS WRONG! Both the Magic Mouse and Trackpad use bluetooth, so I don;t know what that guy is talking about.

I had the small Trackpad on my Macbook Pro and loved it, used it more than the wireless mouse I had bought thinking I would need it. So I bought a new Mac Pro, came with a Magic Mouse and I bought the Trackpad too. They are both AMAZING!!!

I like having both. Because I play some games too, I probably couldn't handle JUST the Trackpad, but if your just using your comp for regular things like photos, internet, videos etc, Trackpad is more than enough and extremely useful.

    LOVE magic trackpad

    • Written by from SALEM

I do not commonly review anything, but I LOVE this magic trackpad and I'm motivated to tell others. I got it yesterday with my new iMac (also fabulous). I love that you can differentiate the commands depending on whether you use one, two, three or four fingers at once. It is very easy to set up and very responsive and accurate. It takes a little getting used to, like five minutes. Comparing it to the trackpad on my old Macbook (which was fine for what it is) is like comparing a nice Toyota to a Ferrari. Yes, they both get you down the road, but WOW!

    Mouse? What mouse?

    • Written by from ERIE

I'd never used a trackpad before, but when my Mighty Mouse stopped working, I decided to upgrade to the newest available replacement & the Trackpad was it. No more mice for me! The Trackpad is unbelievably intuitive & easy to use. It does so much more than what any mouse is capable of. Within minutes of turning it on, I was flying around the screen, thru apps, scrolling, just having a blast! What an awesome item. My daughter uses laptops at school, so she was instantly able to adapt to no mouse. My wife, however uses Windows machines at work & is a bit befuddled by Mac, but she'll come around. Great product, thanks!

I absolutely LOVE this little device! I never even use my magic mouse anymore because I always have the track pad. I think I love it so much because it is stationary and when I use it on my laptop desk it doesn't run off the side the way my mouse used to. Highly recommend getting one of these! Great gift idea for any Mac user!

    Forget the mouse

    • Written by from Johnstown

I just purchased the Apple Magic Trackpad, it works flawlessly. I have large hands and the biggest problem with the Magic Mouse is that it is too small for me. The Mighty Mouse works OK, but the scroll wheel (ball)is always gumming up. The Apple Magic Trackpad is the solution!
Buy it and you will wonder why it took so long to make such a great choice.

    Very Smooth!

    • Written by from Calgary

Nice to be able to use some gestures with a desktop imac. Works great and more comfortable than a mouse. I agree it's nice to loose the mighty mouse's little track ball that gets dirty and sticky quickly.

    Carpal Tunnel Relief!

    • Written by from Temecula

I've tried all types of mice for my Macs in hopes of minimizing hand motion while using my computer. I have carpal tunnel–and by using the trackpad with a squishy wrist rest, it allows me to work with minimal hand motion. I highly recommend the Magic Trackpad!

    Absolutely Great!!!!!

    • Written by from Covina

It was a little uncomfortable moving the mouse around my tiny desk. Especially, after I hooked up my 32inch HD TV to my iMac as a second Monitor.
The Magic Track Pad took care of the problem.
I don't even use my mouse anymore.
    Won't regret!!!!!

    Bye-Bye Mouse

    • Written by from League City

Life long Windows user in the IT field. Bought first Mac (Mini) and did not like the mouse. Tried this and can't say enough good things, it is responsive unique and an excellent user experience. Always found Mac confusing and hard to work with. For the first time I see it, I move the finger on the track pad and I get what I want. It takes a little getting used to all of the motion options but I now enjoy working on a Mac for the first time.
