    Extreme functionality.

    • Written by from OAKVILLE

There's no doubt that a mouse gives the user more precision, but the Magic Trackpad gives the user so many ways to interact with his or her computer. The official product description is spot-on when it says that the gestures feel so natural.

One of the things that I missed with the Magic Mouse was that there was no longer a way to get into Exposé or Dashboard. With the Magic Trackpad and a free third-party application (BetterTouchTool), I can control everything on my Mac, be it volume or iTunes playback. I can even use the trackpad to put my computer to sleep. The built-in functionality is unquestionably an asset to anyone who appreciates a good experience, but with BetterTouchTool, the Magic Trackpad is unquestionably amazing. It's easy to use and will make interacting with your Mac a completely new experience.

I'm certainly an Apple fanboy, but it's products like this that encourage me to keep renewing my subscription.

Fantastic - I bought this because my Magic Mouse was wearing the finish off my desk. I wish I had found it a year ago. What a great product with fantastic functionality.

    Very Nice!!

I just began using the new Trackpad. I like it much better than the mouse. I really like the pinch zoom feature. Its nice to sit back in the chair at my desk an navigate like I'm on my iPhone. Another great product by Apple.

    best bluetooth apple product

    • Written by from Auburndale

this is really a phenomenal product! All the way, works well, nice tough, design, useful. Planning to buy one for each of the macs I use. The magic mouse was often unresponsive (the Logitech Revolution is actually a much better product) but the track pad is just terrific. Now, when Apple will make these devices to have batteries that charge while connected to a USB?

    Fantastic Tracking Device

    • Written by from Celina

This is a fantastic, well rounded product. I purchased a Mac Mini last week and used a Mighty Mouse (the old white wired one), but I absolutely hated the look of running a cable across the desk (and the trackball was going bad). I went to try a Magic Trackpad out today at my local Apple Store and I absolutely loved it. The gestures are fantastic, and its a good sized (but NOT too big) touchpad. The surface is smooth and the navigation experience is great. I of course bought one and it definitely fixes the ugly cord across the desktop, and does it in style.

    -Thanks Apple!

Love it. Makes you wan to use your computer a little more

I've been holding out on purchasing the Magic Trackpad, until today. Once I added it to my iMac, I fell in love. Setup, like any other mac, was a no brainer, and the extra swipes are amazing. It actually makes you want to use your mac more, just to swipe and click and show off. LOVE IT....

    LOVE IT!

I didn't think I'd want one of these, but the rep @ the Apple store locally urged me to try one before I bought a Magic Mouse.... and I LOVE IT! I've had it for a week now & it's seamless. We have a Macbook & the pad is 'ok' on there - but this is bigger & you can place it to the side instead of under the keyboard (which I think are my issues with laptop trackpads in general).

    Oh YEAH!

Comfort, ease and speed all in one! This is probably one of the best ideas Apple has had in a while! The only thing that could make it better I think is support for iPad. I know the thing has a touchscreen on it but its kind of a hassle to lift your whole arm up and tap something and precision is a hard thing to accomplish on a touch screen. Mouse support would be an awesome addition to iPad :)

The Magic Trackpad works much better and way faster than the Magic Mouse. When comparing, you'll see that you can do more with the track pad and switch to different windows way faster.

    Works Well

    • Written by from 板橋区

I bought the trackpad when my Mighty Mouse wouldn't connect with my
    Mac Mini and MacBook Pro.

The trackpad works smoothly and seamlessly. The pad has a bigger interface
surface than that of the MacBook Pro. So, with having big hands, it is a welcome
innovation. The commands are very easy. I learned the commands easily from
looking at the back of the package. I don't use the mouse any more. I had
recently bought a small notebook type mouse and that would time out on me.
Frustrating. But this trackpad works well for me and my Mac Mini.

OK, its sexy, it doesn't jump tracking like optical mouses do. The multi touch is AMAZING it makes navigating the web so much nicer. best of all it sits in one spot so it doesnt scratch your surfaces.

Pros: sleek, easy to use, easy to setup, and customize, multitouch makes using your computer more natural and comfortable than ever, easy to use, and it doesn't scratch!

    Cons: Absolutely none

    Truly is Magic!

    • Written by from Scituate

This device took less than one day to master. Set up my preferences and now using tap to click. No more sore wrist as would be the case when editing with a mouse. The touch is extremely light and responsive. Could never go back, even when I edit in FCE or Aperture.

Makes web surfing a breeze!! A must buy!

    • Written by from Philadelphia

Bought this because I was tired of using the conventional mouse and I'm really glad I did. Scrolling through websites and pages, using Expose and zooming is super easy and faster than using a regular mouse. The large size is perfect. I do resort to using a regular mouse for things very cursor intensive like Photoshop sometimes but I use the trackpad the most. Worth the money!

The best trackpad i've ever used.

    • Written by from Chesapeake

I've used other external trackpad before. But all of them were missing something. Until I started using the Magic Trackpad, I couldn't figure out what it was. All the others are missing everything Apple put into this trackpad. Design, function, and comfort. Within an hour of use, I was totally comfortable with it, it's the best purchase i've made to go along with my Mac. Thanks Apple!!

    Allow Yourself Some Time...

    • Written by from Gilbert

After using a mouse for 20+ years, it took a few days to get used to the pad. The gestures are very useful and quickly learned. I tried to use the click function, but as others have said, it requires an unusually deliberate action and too much torque to click as you go higher on the pad. Tap to click is much easier and controllable after a little practice. Two-finger and bottom-right "right click" should work for most folks.

Wait a moment...o.k WOW this is awesome

    • Written by from Etobicoke

While it took a little getting used to, wow, have I come to love this trackpad. I still use my Magic Mouse but have come to love using this Trackpad to edit my movies in imovie and for Web Surfing. It takes just a gentle tap (really) to make a click and I can move my pointer so easily back and forth and around the screen. I was really surprised about the upside this has brought to editing my family movies in iMovie. I have found it to be much easier and way more accurate to edit out unwanted portions of clips and advancing through a clip to just the right spot. When doing this with the mouse it would hurt my wrist after a while. Now I find it more fun and easier to spend the time getting clips just right. Was really not sure when I bought this if I would be happy and use it but 5 stars from me, a new and essential tool on my desk ( iMac user).
    Thanks Apple!
