We'll laugh 10 years from now, but...

While paying $80 for an iOS game controller will be hilarious in a decade (or less), for now this is the best you can do as far as iOS controllers go. It's totally fine. Completely adequate in every way. Build quality is fine. Responsiveness is fine. Packaging is fine. It's all fine. Not great—but fine. Acceptable.

Still, it hurts that an Xbox One controller which is phenomenal in every respect and a true masterpiece of industrial design goes for $50 while iOS gamers pay $80 for "acceptable."

If you have truly gigantic hands it may be a bit small for you.

    Greatest Controller you can get!!

    • Written by from Klang

This controller is good for Monster hunter FU for ios & alot of supported games that you can find in their official website.
The protective cover is good when you place the stratus in your pocket or bags without worrying the buttons being hurt by your pants.

Forget about the protector cover that you can mounted on the back, you dont need it, i thought it would be great if the cover can be mounted behind the stratus controller. but it seems like it is best to use the controller without it. just use the cover to protect the buttons. good to go.

I am basically playing games on my TV (lightning to HDMi) then with stratus i can comfortably sitting on the sofa and playing games with larger screen.

    Just buy it.

Paired in seconds and was ready to use within an hour I left it to charge overnight and started using it the next morning well built protective case could've been better but it was definitely worth for all the games with the annoying and impossible touch controls I would recommend it to anyone who is deep into gaming and has an ipad

    Ultra portable and high quality

Soon after I bought this item, found out that steelseries has announced a full sized controller. So, I repacked this and was ready to return it as I was within the 14 days returning policy. However, as soon as I put this in the box I started missing it as I was staring at my xbox 360 controller. I thought, I bought steelseries controller essentially for my iPad. I am not going to carry a console around with me when I am on a business tour, I just want my iPad to give me a one hour break from reality. And it is not necessarily important that the controller has to be as big as my xbox 360. Portability and responsiveness to gaming made me not return this product. That being said, I wished the controller should be well within $40 as it looks like a toy. However, this controller beats the other controllers in the market in looks and practicality.

I am surely expecting to use it a lot in the long run.

Small, a little cramped, but worth is for portability and convenience

I have average sized hands for a 6 foot tall guy. Can't palm a basketball, but close. Can palm a size 5 soccer ball no problem.

That said, I really like my Stratus. Love playing GTA San Andreas with it, with a clean GUI on the screen, precise driving and looking control. The iPad suddenly feels like a home console plus more.

I really like the controller. Sure, the cover is loose, but I put a rubber band around it and throw it in my bag. Easy. This thing goes where I go. Very convenient. I don't think I want a larger controller, but I'm not doing long gaming sessions on my iPad. I can use all the buttons without issue; took a little time to adjust.

Tried Knights of the Old Republic too. Works great!

Wish it was cheaper so more people would jump in an enjoy.

    Expensive, but worth it

When first announced i was excited about the controller support on iOS 7 ( too bad for my 4S phone) but never the less I was waiting for a gamepad compatible with my iPad mini retina and this is the first trully universal controller. The small size of the unit makes it ideal for childrens, if you have larger hands, then you may want to wait for another bluetooth controller, because this one is really small. But other than that the whole thing works like a charm. This unit have L1/L2, R1/R2 shoulder buttons which is great for GTA San Andreas, Jet Set Radio, Real racing 3 and Asphalt 8.

One last thing... It has it's own rechargeable battery so you don't have to feed it alcaline batteries!

Exactly what I was waiting for

    • Written by from Sandy

I'm delighted with this little controller. It's exactly what I've been excited about ever since Apple announced MFi controller support in iOS 7. It's a delight to use with the compatible games (GTA and Call of Duty are fantastic with this) and it has the appropriate "ease of use."

I won't be marathoning with it, given its size, but that's not the goal of an iOS accessory anyways, is it? It's for 15 to 120 minute sessions when you have down time, and this controller is perfect for that.

The final piece of the puzzle!

    • Written by from Orlando

    Pros:
    - Build Quality
    - Dual Analog Sticks
    - Compact Size
    - Comfortable Design

    Cons:
    - Protective cover simply non functional
    - No AC Adapter
    - Non intuitive battery indicator

This was exactly what the iPad was needing to make it the ultimate mobile gaming system. What sets this apart from the other two controllers in the market is the dual analog sticks which makes twin stick shooters a pleasure. The smaller size makes it very portable as well. Although the protective cover that it comes with does not attach to the device as advertised. This would be a big issue if not were for the zippered bag it comes with. Also it comes with an USB charge cable but not an adapter. Of course I had one, but still would have been nice.
