14 Hue bulbs installed, only 7 still work

    • Written by from Leona valley

I installed 14 Hue BR30 lights. It took several days of fussing around to get them all to show up in the Hue app. Eventually, half of them stop working and cannot be found by the bridge. Very sloppy implementation, terrible support, and Apple only gives you 14 days to return them. This product IS great fun when it works, but they are a hot mess to keep working. Verdict: not ready for prime time; buyer beware.

I have had 2 of the flood lights die on me, originals still work ok

    • Written by from Chicago

I purchased 3 Flood lights separately at the apple store, I already had the original starter pack and bulbs. In less than 6 months I have had 2 of these 3 bulbs failed on me. The light still work but I lose all connectivity to them. I move them around, reset my bridge, try everything but once I lose that initial control I cant get it back. It basically turns into a normal light bulb. The customer support with Phillips was great when they quickly sent payment for my first one that died on me...but less than a month the 2nd one died in the same fashion. I think I will ask for them to credit me for both bulbs, send them both back and just purchase the original Hue light bulbs which have never given me an issue in the year I have had them.

Not sure if its a design flaw but I just dont see how 2 of these would break in the same fashion.
