    Premium Product!

    • Written by from Estevan

I received mine via mail within 5 days of ordering online, once at doorstep, 3 minutes later was on Mac.
Initially looking at it online, I was apprehensive thinking that it was too much of a "plastic" material.
Having it in my hands, it has more the consistency of a sturdy neoprene, flexes....is waterproof,
and would withstand minor impact....similar to a durable phone case.

I'm impressed with its simplicity of installation, and function.
    Highly recommend for basic protection.

    Nice Case

    • Written by from Greenwood

I purchased several of the "value" priced models from other sources, and each had flaws out of the box. I was also concerned about them rubbing the finish on my MacBook Pro. The Tech21 is certainly more expensive, but in my opinion worth the price. I purchased the clear model, and I think it looks good as well as having good quality. I think it should be a little less than the price it's listed at, but in my opinion a much better product than then other options.

This case is worth the money

    • Written by from Sacramento

If you're on the fence about shelling out the $100 for this case, I say go for it! I have had a tech 21 case on my samsung s4 since it was released and completely love it. When I recently got a MacBook Pro 15" I knew almost immediately that I had to get a good case to protect this beautiful machine. The first thing I did was google "macbook pro tech 21" in hopes that they were in the laptop case market as well as the phone case market. To my surprise, they were. The only problem was that none were available for almost a month when I checked back in late September. So, I spent some time daydreaming and scouring for reviews, leaving my MacBook unprotected until recently when I saw that they were finally in stock. Although some people gave it low stars, not sure why, I took the chance and bought myself a black one. I easily popped it on today and it fits super snug and looks awesome!! I was worried that the front where my wrists rest would be annoying, but it's not at all. It fits even better than I hoped and the impact technology gives me peace of mind.

    Tech21 Impact: An Absolute Must

    • Written by from Encinitas

Once I got my hands on my gorgeous to see and use 15" rMBP, I knew I had to get a case--but which one?

I watched YouTube reviews and read reviews which broke down like this: Speck and Moshi were the ones to get. Specks, however, scratch easily and the corner base platforms discolour. Moshi cases attract prints and streaks like a magnet, and also scratch pretty easily.

Then I discovered the Tech21. Not much is written about it and there aren't many video reviews, either. What convinced me were two things: 1) the durability and protective element to the product, and 2) it's drop-dead gorgeous.

The Tech21 features an impact gel to actually protect your case and not just cover it. This is essential if your investment doesn't just sit on a desk. The gel disperses impact energy into the case and away from your laptop. It's an unusual product that is designed for the preservation of your laptop from any potential accident where it falls or drops unexpectedly.

But is it good-looking? Oh, yeah! It fits like a custom-made glove, clipping onto your rMBP with surprising ease. And it stays put. The Apple logo illuminates from beneath the case (if that's important to you) and it looks super-cool. This product even feels like capital "Q" quality. It definitely possesses a style all it's own, which is largely based upon what it's designed to do, which is protect your computer. But it's look and feel are definitely a compliment to the beautiful design of the object it covers and protects (you have full range of motion for your screen, and access to all ports, etc. with the case affixed to the laptop).

Of course, it's more expensive than others. But, is it worth it? Yes, yes, yes! Absolutely. Other cases preserve your investment from cosmetic damage (largely to preserve its re-sale value). The Tech21 preserves your investment cosmetically AND physically, which is a whole other level of difference. The unboxing experience is also nice, so the Tech21 people are treating you to as close a "premium experience" as can be expected--and I appreciate that.

But the bottom line is this: if you want a case that's going to take great care of your laptop while looking great doing it--this is for you. Don't mess around. Get it. Got it? Good! You'll be glad you did. You can come back and thank me later!

Fits well looks nice but shows fingerprints

The case fits well and very easy to put on. The finish shows finger prints very badly. Constantly wiping off finger prints.

Fits like a glove ... NOT!

    • Written by from Laveen

For $100 this case should fit snuggly and securely. The cover fits nicely but the bottom snaps are slightly misaligned. I can easily take the tabs and unhook it versus the cover case. I have tried to put the bottom cover on 3 different times and each time the same , so I know its not me misaligning it. Construction is Ok , but not sure it it is really all that shock absorbent as advertised. I wish I would have ordered a different case now, but I got the $100 apple gift card for purchasing macbook air 11" so I used it on this.

    Great case!

This is my second shell type case and this one is far better. It fits well with no obstructions to the computer. The screen has full-mobility from the hinges as well. Other than the price (think 100 bones is a bit much for a plastic mold, but o'well) it's a great case!

    Fits perfectly

    • Written by from Bothell

The case fits my 15 MacBook pro retina perfectly, and the case does not damage the finish during the install like some cases do. It will defiantly protect against incidental bumps but I would not wan to try the full drop test.... Overall I think this case is the best available for the MacBook pro.

    Functionally Superior and Visually Impressive

    • Written by from El Segundo

The impact snap case fits snugly against the machine from all angles and provides a very high level of coverage, with very clean cuts that expose fan air intake vents and ports. The case has not interfered with plugging in any of the devices I have used so far. Although thin and lightweight, the case feels sturdy and has afforded me the peace of mind to take my new MacBook Pro out into the world. Additionally, the case is very well-designed visually. When closed, it has the appearance of being a black MacBook with aluminum accents.

The case looks and feels nice, but the edge rubs your hand.

    • Written by from Poway

It looks great. However, after a short period of time, the edge that clips on to the bottom of the computer rubs your palm raw. It hurts. If they redesigned where the upper clip and the lower clip hit the computer; i.e. just move the location of the bottom clip closer to the outside edge of the computer, it would not rub your hand while using the track pad.

    Very, very disappointed.
