    Great looking but poor function

This is a great looking speaker and feels high quality material...but took a long time to pair, did so inconsistently often requiring reboots and would not pair at all with a 5th gen iPod touch. Returned for Bose mini sound link.

    High Quality Speaker

I just bought the mini after doing some research on comparable products (pill and Boom). Unlike the pill, the jam box feels like a substantial piece of machinery, its made of metal, has some good weight to it and feels rock solid. Definitly doesn't feel fragile. Its size makes it unbelievable for traveling (literally fits in your jeans back pocket.) Within seconds of opening the packaging I was connecting playing music (super easy to use). Sound quality is also very top notch. My one complaint is volume. I wish the full blast was 2 or 3 clicks higher than it goes. Its great for individual listening (never on full blast) but if your with a few friends in a room you'll definitely have it cranked up all the way (which is sufficient most of the time but a little more volume would be nice.) My friend has the big jam box which is INSANELY loud but it lacks on portability that the mini has. Battery life and connection distance haven't been a problem at all (the lowest check on battery life I got was when the lady voice says I'm more than 80% even after 3 hours of nonstop playing). Overall GREAT little product made with a lot of thought and solid engineering, just maybe not the best for large groups of people or spaces.

    Barely louder then my iPad

Tried a few speakers on the market including the Bose Mini that I liked but had the bring back because it was too boomy (to much bass that you can't set the reduce it) and the Sound spot that had good sound for the $ but then stopped working after 14 days, just in time before the store warranty expired.

The Mini is a beautifully designed joke on your wallet, I had to download the app the try the 3D sound option and widen their client user base but then you have to be right in front facing the speaker to experience their 3D trick. As soon as I move a few feet left right of the speaker the 3D sound wears of and all you hear is a treble boost at best, which is annoying. Maybe you'll sit still in front of your jambox mini to appreciate it but not me.

I ended with the Big Jambox that definitely more jamming for your $ and use the 3D only on movies and ambient and some electronic sounds and that's Ok but nothing exceptional. The Big one is great to battery life and sound level but the Blue tough connection drops of a bit.

    Great for travel!

I have the original and it took up a lot of space in my carry on suitcase. This little gem has great sound in my hotel room, plus it doubles as my speakerphone for conference calls.
