I bought this because it was rated well but when I got it home and played it it sounded terrible. You are very limited by the three pre-determined EQ settings and they all sound like you are listening to AM radio in an old car. I tried it with compressed and uncompressed music from a variety of sources. Volume is good, packaging and set up are good / easy but if you want good fidelity you should look elsewhere. And for the price of getting a secone one to make a true stereo pair -- you might as well by the Bose unit. I'm taking this back today. Glad Apple has a good return policy(!).

    Great sound and amazing design

I bought this little gem as an impulse purchase at our local Apple Store. Our Bose SoundDock Series 1 is a little dated, won't charge our iphone 4's and certainly NOT portable. I was intrigued by the design at first and now I'm thrilled with the sound. Pairing was easy! I enjoy taking the speaker all over the house and outside, without fear that a little rain will stop the fun. The charge lasts for hours and hours. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

    INCREDIBLE Sound!!!

This small Bluetooth speaker packs quite a punch! If you get a pair, it's surround sound. We had a party and it was the only speaker in the garden. I was even worried that the neighbors might come knocking on the door. The sound is quite solid and delivers a crisp sound. Bonus - it fits in the bottle holder of your bike and you can take it to the beach because it's water and stain resistant. Win win!

    Nice but not so great

    • Written by from PARIS

Design is really nice and convenient
Interface with iPhone is well made (gives you the charge level of the speaker)
Sound is incredibly powerful - but quality is not there yet.
The speaker are not good enough to play classical piano. They are ok for dance music.

Bought this for my daughter she loves it. Sound quality to size ratio is 4:1.
The unit has definite rugged feel and has been engineered to take some abuse. I'm going to say this is the gold standard all other portable speakers will be held to for awhile.
My only criticism would be that it doesn't have the ability to charge a dead iPod like the JBL (charge) other then that, can't complain.

    Best out there right now

Originally bought the Logitech UE mini boombox (still loved it for it's sound and size), but wanted something a little louder since I usually use a speaker in the park or patio with friends.
Decided that since I thought size and sound were THAT important I would have to hit the $200 range.Love Logitech and this thing looked great and the reviews were great. Was not disappointed! clear sound, is plenty loud and good battery life.

What incredible sound this tiny speaker produces. I tried the Jawbone, but sent it back immediately. The Jawbone speakers 'normalize' the sound - cuts the sound off to a certain volume. And it overrides very easily.
The UE BOOM speakers produce a crisp, LOUD sound. The only thing that is missing is BASE. But still, I'd give it a five star anytime.

This product was amazing it has great sound, and bass. The 360 degree compatibility was great to it was very helpful making the whole room light up with clear sound. The wireless compatibility was also great it was just as good when it was plugged in with the cord. Also the battery life was fifteen hours at a low volume but as the volume gets louder the power runs out faster (not really a problem).

The sound coming out of this portable speaker is incredible. It almost sounds as good as my home stereo.
In fact, this is the only review I have ever written. For anything. Ever. It's that good.
