    Great Sleeve, Sturdy, Built Tough

    • Written by from Lake Orion

Love this sleeve, just got it for my MBP Retina and it fits nice and snug, the edges on this thing are sturdy and are sealed tight so they won't rip and loosen up. Recommend it to everyone.

Great design, great material, great sleeve.

    • Written by from Clearw

I bought this because I wanted to protect my brand new MBA from the "dreaded dings" without taking up a lot of space in my courier bag. After seeing this on the Apple website I decided to step into the Apple store to check it out. Needless to say I was sold in a second. It's made out of a sturdy, stiff, almost ballistic nylon material that is not at all flimsy like so many of the neoprene zippered pouches out there. It's soft and well padded on the inside and really does fit my machine like a glove. Best of all, it adds very little thickness to the computer so the portability of the MBA really shines through. Oh, it looks cool too. Well done Thule, easily the best sleeve out there.

    Sturdy and Slim

    • Written by from Humble

I don't usually buy cases like this (Apple sent it to me as an apology for a shipping delay) but I must say I'm quite impressed. The material Thule uses feels practically like Kevlar. I feel like I could carry it under my jacket and stop a knife attack. Needless to say, it will keep the bumps and nicks off your computer.

The inside is smooth felt, and the velcro flap is strong and secure. My 13inch Retina MacBook fits snugly, and the whole thing barely adds a couple millimeters of thickness to the laptop. It still fits well in my computer bag. Now I have one more layer of protection. Nice!

Better fit for Macbook Air than Macbook Pro Retina (late 2013)

    • Written by from Livingston

I bought this case for my late 2013 Macbook Pro Retina. It is a great case that seems very sturdy and high quality. There are no parts in this case that will scratch your computer, and the interior has a soft felt/microfiber lining. While other reviewers say it fits their macbook pro retina like a glove, I would have to disagree. The Macbook Air is a wider computer than the Macbook Pro and this makes the case about an inch too wide for the Macbook Pros. Does it fit a Macbook Pro well enough to protect it? Yes, but if you are looking for a case that has an extremely precise fit for your Macbook Pro Retina, this might not be the best option. I bought this case for its slim profile and it bothers me that there is about an inch of empty extra space in the case on the side of the macbook pro. Apple and third party manufacturers definitely need to make more cases specifically designed for the Macbook Pro Retina rather than creating a case that fits both 13 inch models of the Pro Retina and Air.

Rough, Tough, Modern & Eye Catching

    • Written by from Norwalk

So after picking up my first Apple computer, a 13" Macbook Air, I decided to ditch the traditional InCase sleeve and give Thule a chance, since I own a few of their other products (backpack and messenger bag). I LOVE IT!!! And so does everyone else who has seen it. It fits my Macbook Air like a glove. It's exterior is tough and makes you feel like even if you dropped it, there's no chance your computer would be damaged. The only thing that worried me at first was the velcro closure that it uses. I wondered if after long term use, the velcro would still hold just as well. No problems as of yet, I guess only time will tell. But if that were the problem down the line, I would simply replace it with another one of the same exact products. That's how much I love it! Oh and just a quick tip, if you're planning on getting this product, and plan on putting it into another backpack or messenger back, make sure you go with a 15" backpack/bag. In my experience, most of the 13" bags I've purchased, don't give you enough space.

    Excellent Fit, Strong and Durable

    • Written by from Sherman Oaks

Fits perfectly with the 2013 (Late) MacBook Pro Retina Laptop. Was hesitant, but very pleased I went with this case (worse case scenario, it gets returned -- which it won't be).

Strength and Durability definitely is upheld with this Thule product. If you find yourself in a chair or on a couch and you need a surface that allows air to flow through the vents, this case works well for that, unlike Neoprene cases.

    Thule does it again!!

    • Written by from Brooklyn

This is probably the 4th or 5th Thule Product I've purchased. I picked it up to replace my Acme case which was a great looking case but not very protective and large enough for my MacBook Air. The case even holds my Air with its hard cover vcase on which is a plus. The biggest bonus you can get from purchasing a thule product is the 25 Year warranty which is more than you need.

Stay away from this product - damaged macbook air

    • Written by from Toronto

I bought this sleeve just under a year ago. It was fine until a recent trip - could not get my Macbook Air out of the case without some major tugging. The glue from the seam at the bottom of the case fused itself onto the edge of the laptop. so aside from the case imploding - I now have glue on the edge of my otherwise presteen macbook air - not exactly what I had in mind when I bought this product- If I could rate it 0 I would. Heading to the apple store to see how to get the glue off my macbook

    Glue Doesn't SEAM To Stick

    • Written by from Pattersonville

First may I preface by stating I LOVE Thule products and NEVER write reviews. However, I want to warn people of at least my defective case. No matter how fantastic the rest of the product is, when the Mac slides in topside and FALLS OUT the bottom side due to the bottom seam of the shell separating fully across, it is obviously a problem.

I was disappointed to see this product still for sale on the website and feel it my consumer obligation to notify others of this potential "fall out".

I take VERY good care of my products and the majority of the time my Mac is IN it's shell, it's also in a Patagonia computer bag. I will grab the case - with Mac inside - out of it to transport only to and from short distance and take the Mac out and leave the case solo ONLY when I cam using my Mac. The case is never abused.

I have had the case around 8-12 months and don't see why the entire seam should be separated other than defective adhesive. If it is on mine, it may be on yours also.

IF YOU NOTICE, they now make a 2.0 version with a zip. Personally, I prefer the velcro but is it possible the reason they updated the product was because they know of the defect? Oh, and that product is back ordered a month or two which demonstrates the typical genius, functionality and reliability of Thule product lines.

    Cracks After 3 Months

    • Written by from Vancouver

I bought this at the Apple Store because of its sleek and durable look. While it is pretty durable, there are cracks developing at the two ends of the opening. Because of these cracks the case is getting more loose. Also, the Velcro closing seems to be weakening.

Overall, I expected more from this product and brand. If you want something super durable, you might want to look elsewhere.

Was excited to purchase this product. On arrival I realised the product have a little space left when my macbook pro 13 retina is inside. I was a bit disappointed as it look's and feel's a bit different from what I was expecting. Although the quality is superb.

    Great Case, Hightly Reccommend

    • Written by from Madison

Works excellent. My wife wishes they made one for her HP laptop. Very sturdy and well constructed. Very slim and fits great into my backpack. Highly recommend this case. Looked at a number of this type and of the neoprene version. They don't come close to this, Love this case. Fits my MacBook air like a glove. Don't hesitate buying this.

I bought this at the end of last summer for my 13" MBA and I love it. I'm in university so I haul my computer all over campus and this sleeve has been excellent, providing great protection while adding minimal bulk to the size of the computer itself. Definitely recommend it to anyone!
