    Fit

    I am disappointed about the fit of the battery in the Magic Mouse. It does not seem to fit properly in my Magic Mouse and works it's way lose. Otherwise the product works just as expected, really cool.

    A so-so product for a great product

    I love my Magic Mouse. I am not as thrilled with the rechargeable battery pack. For some reason the battery pack doesn't stay clipped into my mouse.

    One word PERFECT!

    Had mine on pre order from before they were released. Have been using for many happy months now with no issues. Mouse is always charged and is such a breeze to maintain battery power.

    More of an $$$ gadget than useful

    I bought 2 of these units for our iMacs. The initial install was OK and the unit worked. The specs said that it works up to 6 days without a recharge, so I decided to push it and see how long it goes. After 4 days, the Mac battery level was reading 9%, so I decided to charge it. The first overnight charge was OK, back to 100% and the light on the charger was solid green. The 2nd (and subsequent) charges worked, but the green flashing light did not go solid.

    My test was to turn off the mouse and let it charge. It worked and the green light went solid after a night charge. When the mouse is left on (on/off switch), then the charger thinks it's not fully charged and keeps flashing.

    A few things to remember:
    - The unit comes with a USB cable for charging, but no charger. They assume that you will use your Mac or laptop to charge it. If your Mac goes to sleep, the port goes dead and you can not charge the unit. You need an external power supply such as iPhone charger.
    - Rechargeable batteries are 1.25 volts rather than 1.5 volts of a AA battery, so your battery gauge on the Mac is inaccurate.
    - Since the unit uses electronics for charging, your battery is even smaller and has less of a lifetime than 2 AA rechargeables. I recommend charging every other night to be safe.

    Their tech support says that it's working the way it should, and if I turn off the mouse while charging, or take the battery back out and leave it on the charger by itself (their suggestion) the light goes to solid green but if I leave the mouse on, the light keeps flashing. I personally don't know anyone who turns off their mouse or takes the batteries out every night.

    No quality.

    First there is the poor build quality and attention to detail like the voltage of the batteries (different volts make for an inconsistent battery % reading). Then there is the fact that it didn't work with any of the 3 magic mouses I had at home. Had to get a refund. People reported it only works in some magic mouse versions (?). Well not an experience I would like to repeat.

    A must have!

    I bought this about 3 months ago directly from Mobee. I have to say it is really nice not having to ever change batteries. I just set the mouse on the charging pad each night (although I could go as much as 6 or 7 days without charging) and never have to worry about batteries again! The only thing, and it's a minor annoyance, is that the battery pack that replaces the normal Apple battery compartment sometimes slides and dislodges, causing the mouse to 'disconnect' at times. However, this happens relatively infrequently and usually because the mouse has been lifted and set down too hard. Otherwise, though, this is a great investment.

    Great Product

    I purchased this as soon as I heard of it and it was still relatively new, I have had no problems with this at all, it just works and works well.
    Easy to install and then forget all about it, very, very handy!

    Good product and it was a smart purchase for me personally.

    I would recommend this to anyone.

    Works fine but poor fit

    Based on a few days of heavy mouse use, the charger seems to work as advertised.

    However, in addition to being touchy to install the battery pack, the aluminum bottom doesn't clear the mouse skids on my Magic Mouse. As a result, the aluminum bottom rubs on the mouse surface. Since my desk is a formica laminate, the aluminum contacts the desk and has already worn the aluminum finish on the battery pack bottom.

    Good concept, weak execution.

    I too have been experiencing the frequent BT connection drops, and my Magic Mouse always shows as having a 5% charge, and frequent indicators of "Battery Low" - despite being allegedly fully charged (left charging overnight, green light stopped flashing).

    It holds a charge for several days in this state. Overall, I'm not too impressed by the build quality and the problems. I went back to Apple Rechargeable AA batteries - less hassles, more reliable.

    Great Concept - Poor Quality

    Poor instructions and broken cable! The set up instructions printed on the box and those on Mobee's web site are meager and misleading. The box shows an illustration of the USB plugged into what appears to be a keyboard, and the web site states use "any USB port". NOT TRUE! After charging my Magic Mouse for 18 hrs and no full charge indicated, I logged into Mobee's FAQ page to read that the charger needs a full powered USB port such as what's on the computer and not the one a Mac keyboard. While unplugging from my keyboard, the cable separated from the USB plug. Currently, I'm disappointed and awaiting what Mobee does about my request for a replacement USB cable.

    Great Product, needs a little re-designing to be a 5 star

    Great product, overall fit and finish is superb, almost on par with Apple as far as quality and design, works as advertised, looks great on a desktop and matches the Magic Mouse almost perfectly (except this product is silver plastic and not brushed aluminum, but it is very hard to tell the difference) and it is very convenient to not have to worry about changing batteries. I would definitely recommend to others and I am very glad I bought it.

    But, this is why I didn't give it 5 stars.... I consider myself to be very smart, dexterous, and tech savvy, and I had a VERY difficult time getting the battery pack into my mouse, and I'm not so sure the average consumer could have done it. I think the battery pack could maybe use a little re-designing to make it more easily fit into the mouse. Or maybe mine was just a fluke that didn't fit very well. I actually thought I was going to need to return it because the battery pack simply would not go into the mouse. It took a lot of work and maneuvering to get it in. Other than that, an almost perfect product that is definitely on my must have list.

    Disappointed!

    I purchased this device based on the great reviews I read, but was extremely disappointed at how poorly it performs.

    1. It would take several attempts for it to link to my MackBook Pro (2010).

    2. It would sporadically LOSE its BT connection to my computer, even when there is 70% charge left on the mouse. It would do this at least 5x per day!

    3. It would never fully charge my mouse to 100%, even when giving it a 20hr charge without use! It always read 65% - ???

    None of the issues above would happen with my Magic Mouse when it is using normal AA batteries.

    I returned it after 2 weeks of frustration.

    The Magic Charger seemed like a great idea and what I read about it was all good and so far I haven't been disappointed. I highly recommend the device. It works as promised.

    I bought two of them and it's been a few weeks with absolutely no issues. The Magic mouse on both mac minis always has power and is always connected and no wires to disconnect and no batteries to change. These two work so well I'm thinking of getting two more for my other macs.

    OUTstanding Product

    The product idea is a very great concept as I highly support any green-incentives, so I brought it as soon as it was available. Initially I had a connective problem. The mouse and bluetooth would loose each other on a off randomly. It got to the point where I just put my regular re-chargbles back in.
    Not wanting to admit defeat, I place the mobee battery pack back in about three weeks ago and ensured it was seated in tightly. I haven't had a problem since
    This product is well worth the money. So all those that have connectivity issues, I suggest you make sure the pack is securely seated in placed and can't pop loose. And as far as the 80% level reading, I like others on here just place it on the pad every night night and I am good to good for a few days or even weeks depending on frequency of use of the mouse. I plan on buying another soon for my macbook.

    Will not charge or turn on

    Put the battery pack in place, turned on the mouse and it did not work - No mouse light. Charged overnight still noting. Charged outside mouse put back - nothing. Mouse works fine on batteries.

    I had the Magic Charger for 3 months and I've never had any problem!
    and about the battery level of 80% I read on the mobee website that is normal for a full recharge:
    "The Alkaline batteries originaly delivered with the Magic Mouse are 1.5V per cell, meaning 3V for the 2 cells when you use brand new batteries.
    We are using NiMH batteries, these are 1.2V per cell. Thus when fully charged that's 2.4V which means that OSX will read 70 to 80% only"
    I think that is clear, and when my battery is fully charged I can use my mouse during 5 to 6 days. Actually I've never had any problem of charge because each time I don't use my mouse I put it on the base station and I like this concept because I don't have to think if my mouse is charged or not!

    doesn't fit the magic mouse the same way..i lose connection about every twenty minutes..please don't insult my intelligence by saying maybe its a problem with bluetooth connectivity..mouse worked fine until i put in the mobee battery pack.. additionally..after charging all night..it still says only 80% full. what did i pay for?

    I had my Mobee Charger since it was released (about 6-7 weeks). Initially, it worked great. It would charge without issues and my Magic Mouse stayed connected. At about 4 weeks, I started having issues with the mouse disconnecting. This problem became more frequent until then it would not even charge correctly. I contacted Mobee and they agreed that I had a defective product. They promptly replaced it (kudos to them), and so far it has worked well for the past week or so. Let's hope I just got unlucky and that this replacement will continue to work well.
