    Save your Money

I hate to say that unfortunately this product is a waste of money, the batteries do not charge and if they charge they lose charge after about 1 hour.
Go with apples rechargeables with the wall wart adapter.

    WORTHLESS PIECE OF JUNK

    • Written by from Richmond

This worked very well for a few months. Then, it would charge, but never say it was charged (admittedly, this might have been a computer issue). Then, it stopped working completely, after the extremely delicate plastic broke. So, I would say that this product is worthless. Worse than worthless, actually, because now I have a Magic Mouse without the bottom plate.

I have to remember to 'park' it

    • Written by from Reston

I got this as a replacement for poorly performing (not Apple brand) rechargable batteries. The one anomaly I have is that the battery charge level is not reported to the Apple Mouse system preferences (as evidenced by no update on the battery status on the menu bar.) Battery life is pretty good, I've run for 4 or 5 days of hard use without draining the battery.

So I'd rate this as a good product, that performs as expected. But I'm not sure how long I'd need to use this before it paid for itself in conventional alkaline batteries bought in bulk.

batteries more effective than this trash

    • Written by from Kemah

battery pack wont charge and because I can't prove the date of purchase vendor will not warranty it. It's only three months old! A overnight charge should be able to get you more than three percent! I have a keyboard that does the same I'm lucky to have that cell work for a afternoon after sitting on the charger for a week. If you have these then keep a wired keyboard and mouse you'll need them more then these

Works great, have two of them

    • Written by from Essex Junction

Living on both sides of the Atlantic, I bought two chargers. They work just great, just put the mouse on the charger one night per week, and it is always charged. So far I have never had any problem with the light not starting to flash green when I position the mouse on it. I used rechargeable batteries before, but even though the charge lasted longer, this is much more convenient. When I move to my other residence, I just plug the charger into the usb connection, and it is ready to go. I can always check the battery status in system prefs>mouse, lower left on the window.

You Need 2 Battery Packs To Use This

    • Written by from San Jose

Lucky for me they accidentally shipped two of these to me instead of just the one that I ordered and thank goodness they did! You can only charge the mouse battery when it's plugged in the computer. The only time my computer is on is when I'm using it with my mouse. So I always have that second battery charged and ready to go thanks to their mistake. If I only had one battery, I'd be up a creek when the battery dies, and that's quite often. This would be an excellent product if they included a wall charger. Serious design flaw.

    Very unreliable connection.

    • Written by from PLEASANTON

I researched why my new magic mouse frequently lost connection. I have a recent laptop and a new mouse. The issue seems to be like the blogs said: the batteries in this charger are the issue. After I purchased the rechargeable Apple batteries and used those in the mouse, it has not had any connection problems. The computer is able to wake with the use of the mouse too. The charger has its own enclosed batteries, so the Apple batteries are not able to be used with the charger. I would guess they aren't compatible.

The Apple rechargeable batteries are almost as convenient and cheeper.

Spend your money on rechargeable batteries instead

    • Written by from Honolulu

Literally just threw this thing in the trash. I've had it about nine months and every time I use it, the mouse constantly disconnects and reconnects until I take the power pack out and replace it with batteries. This replaced a set of rechargeable batteries that worked just fine for three years. I'm getting new rechargeable batteries which saves money and pollutes less and significantly lowers my frustration level by removing this annoyance from my life.

I honestly do not know what is going on with these negative reviews. I've had mine for three months (I bought both the mouse and the charger at the same time) and have had no problems with it. Knock on wood.

Absolutely does not work. Stay away this unit

    • Written by from Sausalito

I gave it one star just because somehow you can't put 0.

    The saying goes like this:
"there are liars, darn liars, god darn liars, and then there are battery engineers"
The first battery pack lasted about 2 weeks. Mobee was kind enough to send a new battery pack. Once the pack was charged, the mouse only moved vertically. it won't move horizontally because I'm guessing this made in china product has not figured out that the pack does not sit right on the mouse thus movement is limited. Even when it moves, the mouse disconnect and reconnect at will. No its not my mouse issue. Once I put regular batteries it works like a charm.

An absolute waste of money; Get a wired mouse or, if you still trust battery engineers, get a charger.

Great device, but a pricey one for what it is

    • Written by from West New York

I was in my local Apple Store last week, and saw this on the shelf so I decided to get it. Setting it up was easy enough, and it was charged up in about four hours. As previously mentioned, the one major glitch is that you never get a 100 percent reading, even when it's fully charged up; the best I've seen is 90 percent. I must have a later model, as mine came with a micro USB cable, instead of the mini USB one others had mentioned. I haven't had it long, but I think I'm going to keep it.

I would recommend this to a friend with the caveat that it really does cost much more than it's worth, IMHO.

    DOA

    • Written by from San Francisco

With the Mobee, I was hoping to find a simple solution to keep from replacing my mouse batteries every month. The product worked for about a minute out of the box, so I thought it just needed a full charge. After charging the batteries for 2 days (and getting a green light on the charger) I was unable to get the mouse to turn on for more than 5 minutes. On the second charge attempt, the mouse would not turn on at all, even after several attempts in inserting it into the mouse. Looks like I'm still on the hunt for a "green" solution.

    Love it!!

    • Written by from LAWRENCEVILLE

I bought this because I really despise changing batteries. The first one I got would not charge due to a small error on the design of the fit. Unfortunately, as we all know, with any computer products, it only takes a small error, especially with new products. I brought it back and exchanged it with the thought mistakes happen. My replacement fit perfectly, and I am SO happy I exchanged it instead of simply giving up. I absolutely love it. I use my Magic Mouse all day, every day and the Magic Charger just keeps it trucking along without having yo change batteries. I don't have to worry about battery disposal, nor do I have to swap out rechargeable batteries. It's well worth the cost in the lack of hassled actor overall. Just place it on the charging platform and it charges. Sweet!

    Excellent accessory!

    • Written by from Leesburg

I burned through batteries with my Magic Mouse very quickly. I didn't like that idea and was contemplating the purchase of rechargable batteries when I came across the Mobee Magic Charger. The concept of not having to remove batteries for charging was very attractive so I bought the unit.

I have not been disappointed, it works a treat. There are reviews here and elsewhere that discuss the details about battery level and keeping the batteries charged, I won't go into that detail. I'll just say this is an excellent solution that works. I put the mouse on the charge pad whenever I'm away for a while so the mouse is always ready to go.

It is worth noting, as have others, that no charger is actually provided which is why I give it only 4 stars. The manufacturer expects the computer to charge it via USB. But if the computer is off that doesn't work, so buy a charger of at least 2 amps or use an iPad/iPhone charger. Also, beware of reviewers who cannot figure out which way the charging pad is placed. One review I read the guy had the charging pad upside down, despite the rubber feet and shiny white plate that the mouse sits on. When it didn't work he had to call Mobee. Do I trust the rest of his review? i think not! Sad.

Just a quick note to emphasize the charger's power requirement. I first plugged into a USB powered hub, but that didn't provide sufficient amperage to charge it in a reasonable time. A dedicated charger is best, the iPad 10amp charger works very well with it.

Enjoy this product and free yourself from the battery monster!

    Once Installed Right, Works Great

    • Written by from Riverton

The Mobee Magic battery pack does NOT install easily into the Apple Magic Mouse. The tiny metal part that sticks out (the part that touches the Magic Mouse and completes the battery circuit) breaks extremely easily. However, once the battery pack is installed correctly it works amazingly! It charges easily, quickly, and you never have to take it back out once you finally get it in. I would definitely buy this again (and did), but be very careful when you install it. It would be great to see Mobee improve on their design and either get rid of, or improve, that tiny metal part.

I had purchased two of these devices a while ago. They do work very well. Only caveat is the placing of the mouse on it's charger. Wait for the light to turn green. It it's orange, reposition the mouse until the light turns green.
