I have a large old house and use several airports to cover the distances. I want to upgrade to use two airports wired together. Will this work?

I want to use a CAT5e between 2 AirPorts. The far end of the house is like a bunker and cannot get any signal to my AppleTV. It would be nice to have one AirPort Time Capsule in the mix for backing everyone up. Any thoughts?

I do this in my house. I have a Time Capsule in my basement near my cable modem and an Airport Extreme on the main floor to expand WiFi coverage in my house. You can either connect them together and have one do DHCP for the house or you can plug them into a switch or a combination modem/router and allow that 3rd device to do the DHCP for your home.

The Airport Utility is pretty good at helping you get the right configuration.
