Fly and roll
Turn any place into a playground with Parrot's MiniDrone Rolling Spider robot. Simply connect it to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Bluetooth Smart technology, then take control using the FreeFlight 3 app. You'll quickly have Rolling Spider weaving through the air and showing off its acrobatic moves.
With a click of your finger, Rolling Spider flips 360 degrees and with a simple swipe it can turn 90 degrees and 180 degrees. Take advantage of pre-programmed acrobatic moves in FreeFlight 3 to keep everyone entertained.
The agile, ultra-compact drone

Rolling Spider Review
I own the Rolling Spider, and I think the minidrone needs a bit more protection, besides the wheel. Personal testing, but I droppe I own the Rolling Spider, and I think the minidrone needs a bit more protection, besides the wheel. Personal testing, but I dropped the drone a few times and the carbon-fiber (according-to-parent) rod that held the wheels together broke in half.
Quite disappointing at this point.
And, the battery can be improved WAY WAY more, the Rolling Spider barely survives at MOST 15 minutes of flight. I was seriously expecting more (but I lost most of my expectations at the sight of the 550 mAh battery)
Besides these little defects, the Rolling Spider is a pretty easy-to-handle drone, thanks to the Android update which fixed the bug of taking pictures with the mini-camera under the drone.
Speaking of which, the camera needs a bit of a fix: sometimes I get yellow pictures, sometimes they're fine.
Looking SO forward to the Bebop Drone, hopefully with fixes for protection, battery and camera (one large feature I'm eager to check out)
Oh and also, quite wished I owned the Jumping Sumo, might've helped me win my battle against mini-drones with my friends by wrecking them with the jump XD …

Parrot does what it does very well. This tiny quadracopter is no exception. I think the reviewers that focus just on the negative Parrot does what it does very well. This tiny quadracopter is no exception. I think the reviewers that focus just on the negative are just following the same pattern that seems popular at the moment.
Looking at what this copter does correctly - it's easy to see that it's worth your money. It is a very stable quadracopter. The 'built in' tricks are fun to watch and a pleasure to perform. Add the wheels and this copter has the unique ability to "crawl" up a wall and "crawl" across a ceiling. This is an indoor copter - and should only be used outside if there is no wind and a minimum of trees.
Perfection is slightly missed due to the low resolution stills-only camera that points straight down - and the infamous lack of flight time (approx. 8 min. until the battery dies). I should mention that there is a lot of demands to the processor(s) on this quadracopter and when you add up the power requiremnets of such a sophisticated little machine - an 8 minute flight is almost impressive. The real problem is battery technology in general - not really Parrot's fault.
Most reviewers are focusing on the 8 minute flight time as opposed to focusing on the 8 minutes of fun this RC toy provides. Well worth your RC budgeted money here. …

I was instantly in l This mini drone reminded me of being a kid in the 90's getting a new remote control car, but, this one flies. I was instantly in love with this thing. The neat little tricks that it does are amazing.
This mini drone is more for recreation (fine by me) compared to the AR drones that Parrot also makes. That I use more for professional purposes. This mini drone fits in my bag and I take it with me the the parks and around the city. The AR is hard to do that with without drawing attention to yourself.
All in all, I highly recommend this drone. It is great fun. …
