Am very particular about my computer, very protective of it in every way. This was the only protective case the Apple store had it when I bought my newest MacBook Air. Cracked in many places within three months--despite the care I gave it. Saw a lady in a hotel's breakfast area with the same computer, same case. Hers cracked also despite her protection of the computer.
Bottom line: this is but a speck of protection for any MacBook Air!

The case is difficult to get on at first use, and is also a pain when using it. If my computer is open at more than 90 degrees _| (like that) the lid falls back _/ (like that). I got clear, and it is nice, and it does add a bit of extra weight to the product, but the design is okay, it just bothers me that it always falls all the way back whenever I'm using it

I returned it and ordered this one. The initial installation can be tricky, but once installed it is a great product and well worth the price considering the alternative cost the same.
I give it 4 stars for the tough installation, but highly recommend it.

I love this case as far as how it looks and the accuracy of the color representation (I bought the greenish case). However, after I love this case as far as how it looks and the accuracy of the color representation (I bought the greenish case). However, after only a few weeks, pieces of my shell started chipping off. Now, I've had it for a couple of months and the piece on the side that grips my macbook air is completely gone. I'm very unsatisfied with this product. You would think for $49.95 Apple could sell a higher-quality product. I have yet to drop my macbook in the case, so I don't know how it holds up as far as that, but I don't recommend buying this product--unless of course you just want to buy something that's pretty but doesn't actually do what it's supposed to.

The first one cracked and the tabs that hold the bottom shell on literally disintegrated within 2 months of owning it. I sent it back to Speck (and paid the shipping!) and they sent me another one but this one has the same problem. When I got my 2nd one I also bought one for my hubby's MBP 15" - his has suffered the same fate despite the fact that his laptop never leaves home and mostly lives on a desk. I do take mine to work, in a padded case and I am very fastidious about the care of my laptop but still I've got a case with two missing corners, several cracks and no way to keep the bottom shell attached. This case, in my opinion, is an epic failure with regards to materials and lack of durability. I wish I'd spent that $100 elsewhere.

The Apple store was cool enough to replace it for me but within a couple months, it happened again to my second one. Waste of money... would not buy again.
