I spend a month comparing headphones at the Apple store using my own iPod to test the sound and comfort quality of various headphones. The ones I tested were: Beats HD, Republic Sol, Bose OE2i and Bose AE2i. My goal was to stay in a price range not to exceed $200. Will to my surprise over and over again the B&W P3 sounded the best. However, I also wear hearing aids and spent quite a bit of time in the Apple Store trying on various headphones. These are definitely louder to the point that for the first time ever, I was not maxing out the volume. I'm totally not accustomed to listening with the sound turned down.
