Perfect iPad companion!
I usually carry my iPad 2 and MacBook Air for work throughout the day but in most cases, all I really need is my iPad. The times w I usually carry my iPad 2 and MacBook Air for work throughout the day but in most cases, all I really need is my iPad. The times when I really need to do some serious typing is when I find myself using my Air instead, rather than the virtual keyboard on my iPad. Since I had an Apple BT keyboard already, I had hoped for a good way tp carry it in my bag without damaging the keys and found the Origami Workstation. All I can say is WOW! It holds my iPad at a perfect angle in either portrait or landscape and the bigger surprise is how sturdy it is. Now, I am just carrying my iPad and keyboard most days and even though the Air is tiny and light, eliminating a few unnecessary pounds from my bag is a welcome plus. I can bang out Pages documents all day working this way and it's totally because of the Origami. Probably the best iPad accessory I have ever bought. …

Try this if you want to type with the iPad on your lap.

The one think that I di This is a great case for the keyboard and perfect for either the iPad or iPad Mini (which is what I have). The one think that I didn't like was needing to sit at a desk or table for this case to work well, it didn't seem to work well when sitting on my lap. That's until I tried folding the stand backwards. In all the pictures you see the sides of the case folded down so the flat part is sticking up and making a stand for the iPad, if you simply fold it so the two "legs" are facing towards you with the flat part on the bottom, it makes for a great stand to use while holding the keyboard and iPad in your lap. It's hard to explain without pictures, but here's another way to explain what I'm talking about. When using this case as shown in the pictures, the corners of the stand rest on the table, with the middle part of the top cover being used to hold the iPad in an upright position. To use this stand for typing on your lap (much as most people do with a laptop when sitting on a couch, just reverse the fold and have the corners folded in towards you and acting as the stand to hold up the iPad, while allowing the middle of the cover to offer support for resting on your legs when sitting. Hope this helps=) …

I wanted to easily go from typing to using my iPad without a keyboard.
I've tried a number of folio keyboards and keyboard cases and the problem has always been either the quality of the keyboard and/or the case and the ability to quickly and easily separate the iPad from the case.
Now you have the best of all worlds, you can use a solid keyboard (Apples) and sit your iPad in the workstation then just pick up your iPad and go without any trouble.
Go go Incase Origami!!! …

Wonderful Product, but One Note about the iPad Air

I have tried many keyboard solutions only to return them all. After purchasing this product, I have finally been able to turn my iPad into my primary computing device. I use it with an iPad Air and it works wonderfully. I have on small complaint however. This product has not been updated for specifically for the Air creating one minor problem: there are not screen bezels to lift it. In other words, when using pages, I often have to lift the iPad out of the workstation to successfully touch functions such as alignment, text size, and bold/italics/underline.
Overall, though, greatest keyboard solution out there and the best I have been able to find! …
