I find the user interface so much more approachable than I ever did with version 7 nothing feels any more complicated than it did with Express - totally transparent! I've used Cubase in the past, but as far as I'm concerned nothing else comes close to Logic's power and simplicity! What I have now is a vast playground of limitless possibilities!
I also think its worth pointing out that if one takes the time to read the User Manuals, troubeshoots their studio set-up thoroughly, their Macintosh, OS, and for other updated third-party drivers, Logic WILL do what it says on the tin, 99% of the time! Even check out the Logic forums on this site!
Although Logic may well have its weaknesses and won't be to everybody's taste, it is well worth the time to test it out properly on non-important stuff if in any doubt before jumping the gun!

I have used Logic since version 4 and spent a small fortune to upgrade in steps to this latest version. Yuk
I have gone back to version 7 as its so much easier on the eye. Fantastic in every other way but lacking in loop manipulation if thats your thing. Great value for money.

What lets Logic Pro down is the lack of contact from the developers, nobody knows if or when there will be an update.
I so wish, as do many others that Apple would just let us know if Logic is at least still being developed ?

I haven't used Logic 8, and it doesn't look like I will for a while, but the removal of the XSKey and the one-page layout are welcome changes.
