Incredible sound, very comfortable, awful build quality

    • Written by from London

These are perfect in every way except the durability of the wire.

Fortunately they have a 2-year warranty, and Apple have honoured this warranty for the issues I've had with the cable.

Excellent sound quality...but for how long?

    • Written by from Weybridge

These are superb in-ear headphones - the sound quality is similar to listening to music through good quality headphones eg AKG 701s.
The in-line remote works perfectly with my iPhone 4s.
They are extremely comfortable, stay in place and block out a fair amount of external noise - just about OK on the tube!
And yet... the cable is thin, can't be replaced and you just know that you are going to break them at some point in the future :-(
    Be careful and enjoy :-)

    Excellent little earphones

    • Written by from ALLOA

I bought these earphones for my wife. I own a set of Ultimate Ears triple-fi 10 vi so I can make good comparison. The sound quality from these phones is exceptional considering that they only have a single driver. Not quite up to the sound quality of the UE but not far off. Where they come into their own is the comfort. Extended listening periods on the UE becomes uncomfortable. Not these. For bog standard mp3 listening, these are probably the better of the two. The phone answering facility works fine when the 3.5mm jack is pushed right home. These also have volume control unlike the UE.

At last - value for money

    • Written by from SIVATTI

I've purchased at least 4 pairs of in ear headphones in the price range 150 - 300 EUR, and all of them have fallen far below expectations. The Klipsch Image X10i are the far and clear exception from this.

Firstly, there are a range of size and style of buds - most people I am sure will find a set to fit comfortably in their ear for extended periods without earache.

Secondly (and most importantly) the sound quality is superb - it was really like listening to my music collection for the first time again - rich deep bass, and subtle background acoustics that were simply not heard through other headphones. This applies to music from classical, R&B, rock, dance.

They are very light and unobtrusive, I even forgot that I was wearing them at times.

    Highly recommended.

    too expensive and too flimsy

    • Written by from Edinburgh

Yes they sound great, but within 6 months of purchase the microphone stopped working. In addition, prior to that, the clip which held the microphone near my mouth fell off never to be found again.

now the wire at the jack plug is starting to come through the junction of wire and jack plug.

Great sound but too flimsy for daily use and way too expensive

The best headphones i have ever had!!

    • Written by from slough

Having owned the s4i's and been very happy i decided to take the plunge and get a set of these. Having taken the time to use them for long period so as to burn them in the sound quality is second to none like nothing i have ever heard before. I found them very light and very comfy to wear and found the medium tips perfect for my ears.

The remote is perfect to control the audio not only on my pod and my iphone it also runs the audio on my macbook pro which makes it perfect to skip tracks while im using other apps and listening to my music and the mic is great to make a take calls on my iphone.

Having spent a lot of money on these they live up to the reputation they have developed for high end audio my only fear is looking after them lol all round a great product.

Fantastic sound, cool looks, awful build quality

    • Written by from London

I can't recommend these earphones for the price, when they are flimsy like a soggy digestive falling into your hot tea!

Yes the sound is awesome, yes the looks are ultra cool, but the buds keep falling out of your ears and they broke within the first week.

I remember when quality earphones only cost £50, now they're asking £220! If they break after a year would you buy another pair?? I know I wouldn't!

Comparing versus my Shure E3 (again £130 and shocking build quality) the sound is superior at the low end but not quite at the top end. Comparing against my brother's Bose earphones (£80) the sound is better but not three or even two times better as the price might suggest.

Great if you are more gentle than a high wire walker carrying a baby over a lava pit with your belongings, but if you are normal and use things normally I don't feel in my opinion that these would last very long!

    Mic positioning is disappointing

    • Written by from CROYDON

so far it is the best in-ear headphone I tried, noise isolating is great, it fits perfect, the ability to go to the next track and previous is a unique thing, microphone is very sensitive and the person on the other side of the line will enjoy the sound quality; but mic is positioned way down the wire, it hangs just below your chest and it's gonna be on your nerves if you have the habit of wiring yourself from under your clothing because when you want to answer a call you have to pull the wire out of your shirt till you reach the mic. so I returned it.

    For the Perfectionist!

    • Written by from Beckenham

I have been deliberating buying these headphones since they were launched, I wish I hadn't waited, they are superb.

Having read many reviews, I like many others have been searching for the right in-ear headphones, these are certainly the best so far, and I have previously purchased far too many to mention.

in my opinion the reason they are so great is that the music sounds very rich with absolute clarity, just the right amount of base and they are extremely comfortable to wear.

Other reviews mention that they are expensive, however I would say "buy cheep - buy twice"

Isolate noise very well make and recieve calls clearly most importantly they sound so gooooood! Yes there expensive but honestly they're worth every penny people who say cheap ones are just as good haven't got a clue and obviously they don't love there music like I do. Buy them you won't regret it
