i bought these ihome portable speakers and they are fantastic the sound is great and i recommend these are a must buy

Just receive these and was a little disappointed with the sound quality. Ok, they are portable, nicely designed, easy to set up and use, but really they are £20 speakers (possibly £15) rather than £40. The bass is serously lacking, and the overall sound is still a little tinny. Better than the ipad 3 speakers but not £40 worth. Would recommend buying them cheaper on ebay. Great for when you're out and about and have no choice, sufficient enough I guess. Certainly not 5 stars.

Quite simply a great product that performs way beyond its price. Quick to charge, excellent sound quality - VERY VERY impressed. If you are looking for a portable speaker system thats givse excellent sound quality, neatly packs away for travel, and looks sexy then this is it. Well built, they feel like a quality product. 5 stars.

I got these for Christmas yesterday and love them. I read the reviews and thought I'd give them a go.

They're brilliant little speakers - they won't replace my hi-fi or a good set of headphones, but for they do what they are intended to do brilliantly. They're easy to transport and charge, although the cabling is a bit of a kerfuffle and they sound good. They also go plenty loud enough from an iPod Nano. I haven't seen how loud they will go with the stronger input signal from my computer.

For the money (Apple's isn't the best price) and their intended use, they are spot on.

Picked these speakers up a year ago to make movie watching on my mac book more enjoyable when I'm away from home. I was immediately impressed with the sound quality - especially considering the price I'd paid and their size. However, what has really blown me away is their battery life. You charge their internal batteries via USB in about 1-2 hours and then they literally run for weeks. Sometimes they'll sit on the shelf for 3 months then be used on a trip every night for a week and still not need charging. Nothing short of amazing - if you need compact speakers to work with a macbook then I promise you that these are the speakers for you.

When I ordered these, despite all of the good reviews, I was worried about their size. They are very small and light and so I thought that there was no way that their sound could be as good as everyone said. However they sound amazing! Lots of people have said that the sound is good for their size, and I thought that that is not saying much as they are so small, but they really are brilliant. They have a great quality of sound even at high volumes. The sound is what I would have expected from a very sophisticated (and expensive) sound system!

I am genuinely surprised at the quality of the sound coming from these diminutive speakers.
There's actually nice separation and the clarity is really good, especially for £40. I am a bit fussy when it comes to sound but am pleasantly surprised at these terrific speakers. They pack a good punch when it comes to bass too.
Highly recommended.

I bought these for my Mac Mini and didn't expect much, given their modest price and small size. However, they produce an extremely good sound, clear as a bell, and with good stereo separation. the icing on the cake is that they are rechargeable with an apparently long battery life, so I also now use them with my iPod and other mobile gadgets. If I have one minor criticism, it is that there is quite a lot of cabling, but this criticism is not major enough to warrant knocking a star off my rating.

I've had these speakers for some months now connected to my macbook pro mainly for watching movies, I am so impressed with them- the sound (considering the price & size) is really good, decent bass and stereo separation, they take two ports- 1x USB for charge and 1x headphone jack for sound, after a full charge i unplugged the USB to see how long that would run on their own battery power, OMG- weeks!
I do not know what they quote as the battery life but it was over 100 hours!!
The cable they come with means they can only be separated by about 1m but that is enough. I don't really have anything negative to write.
These are really impressive.
