    Well worth it

    • Written by from Billingshurst

The protector itself is nice and thin, so you don't really feel much difference when typing other than that it's quieter. It keeps my keyboard nice and clean so it does what it says to. It isn't secured on with anything, so if you're a bit rough with typing then I would change my technique... All in all a good product and is well worth it to protect my Macbook.

    Worth every penny!!

    • Written by from CORK

This product is amazing. Got mine today from apple. It fits so well its unbelievable!! You can see perfectly through it and it gives the keyboard a softer feel. It also makes typing much more quite, less clicking. 5 Star product, highly recommend.

the protector gives some nice texture to the keys and the illuminated keyboard properly shines through! the fit is perfect and no one can see the protector is there, only if you look at an angle.you do have to push a little harder on the keys, not much and if you are typing rapidly it does move about and can come off. it is ridiculously thin trust me! you can see all the dirt collecting after a while so i just wipe it off with a wet cloth, but its better than getting in and on the actual keyboard. the protector becomes cloudy/worn where you have repeatedly typed although it isnt very visible and im sure it wont break. highly recommended get it. you wont regret it.

Not a great fit on Retina MacBook Pro

    • Written by from Mablethorpe

It does the job, however its not a great fit on my Retina MacBook. It overhangs the dip and as such is raised off the keys - which causes a springy feeling and the occasional missed key presses. The keys feel so much better without it! But it will at least keep them clean.

    Not for MacBooK Air13"

    • Written by from Utrecht

I bought this product for my MacBook Air 13”. It feels clumsy and increases typing errors. I found there’s gap between keyboard protector and keys. This could be the reason why this produtct doesn’t work well. Also, this product is not so thin as they said. It’s 0.2mm not 0.1mm.

    Heavy typing

    • Written by from Barnstaple

I would agree with one other reviewer that this is great for protecting your keyboard from spills and dust but otherwise I am not impressed with it. If you touch-type and are used to typing reasonably fast, it really slows you down because of the increased resistance of the keys. I have noticed that my fingers, arms and shoulders are much more tired when using the keyboard with the cover on, something to consider if you type a lot. I also personally do not like the feel of it. It feels ever so slightly tacky, like it has once been smeared with jam that has been wiped off so that only a very slight residue remains.

Good investment if you want to preserve condition of keys

    • Written by from Blandford Forum

One reviewer said they got 2 in a pack? The package I got only contained 1 item, which was as I expected.

It was for my Macbook Pro 15" (2010) UK keyboard and you just plop it on top of the keyboard.

I am finding typing with it on is taking a bit of getting used to - It is not so thin / tight to the keys that you won't notice it is there when typing. Its not a problem, I am just saying...

I would recommend getting this product at the same time as getting your new macbook. I have had my new macbook for about a month and bough the protector just in time. The keys are not oily or worn yet and now they will always be as good as new.

    Not for fast typers

    • Written by from Aalborg C

The thing is, this thing is great for protecting your keyboard from filth, dust and rubble. But that's it.

If you type any faster than you would, just using a pair of index fingers, you are going to get annoyed with this. It feels bad typing with it, and what's worse, it slows your typing speed considerably. I now only use it when im not typing(to keep it clean), or if im having a snack whilst typing.

Good Stuff But Does Not 100% Fit Into UK Keyboard

    • Written by from Ipoh

I just got mine recently, good stuffs, thin and fit very well into the buttons unfortunately the 'Enter' and '| \' button layout is different from UK Keyboard compare to the US version. I got an UK version, hence all buttons except these two were not properly fit otherwise I would have give 5 stars. Such information should have been clearly stated.

    It does not fit

The protector does not fit my keyboard (left shift key and enter key)... it is not very nice to type either. The protector for the Sony Vaio is much better than this.

    Simply amazing

    • Written by from Cockermoutj

You actually get two clearguards, one for EU (UK) keyboards and on for US style keyboards.
They are incredibly thin and transparent, and also fit perfectly.

Fantastic product and I recommend it to everyone with a macbook pro!!

Great product with inevitable setbacks! Nothing's 100% perfect!!

    • Written by from Isleworth

This is a great product that does what it says on the tin, protects your keyboard. It's super thin and sits on your keyboard really neatly, however, to the touch, you can feel it and it does slow your typing down. Do I mind it? No, but it does take some getting used to and if it protects my Mac, then I really do not mind this minor flaw.

    Good product, get it!!!

    Slides around in use

    • Written by from Liverpool

Really disappointed after reading the other reviews to find how badly fitting and inconvenient the protector is. It slides around for the slightest contact and even though it will protect the keyboard, I can't see my patience lasting with this product. It slows down my work too much.

I'd say it works best for long periods of typing but when you're moving frequently from mouse to keyboard the sliding around is crazily annoying.

I've got the 15 inch macbook pro. Does anyone else with this model have the same problem? Perhaps main source of problem is that it doesn't quite fit the function keys. Or perhaps my fingers are too sweaty? The protector often sticks to them. Don't buy if you have hot hands.

    Not Sure

    • Written by from Desborough

Not too sure about this keyboard cover. I got the US version as I have a US keyboard and there are some positives and negatives about it:

Nice and clear and the backlit keyboard shines through
Caps Lock LED is visible when the protector is on
Nice feel to it, stops grease, etc getting onto your keys
Easy to type when its on

    Moves about when typing

I dont like this because I am typing and the protector moves. This may be because it is thin, however it makes it lok cheap when it is quite expensive for what it is!

I bought a cheap keyboard protector off Amazon for 1.50 and I think that is better. I will use the Moshi one for a while because I have paid for it and cant return it (Because my Uncle got it from Canada) however I will end up switching back to my cheap and better silicone one.

Design flaw if used in combination with an iVisor

    • Written by from NEWTON ABBOT

I have an 11" MacBook Air and purchased both the ClearGuard for my keyboard and the iVisor Air, however the two products do not work together as the lid will not close completely, leaving about a millimeter gap. That being said the quality of Moshi's products are excellent!

This cover is perfect, mine was the UK version, so fits perfectly, it is so thin, but durable, does not take anything away from the beauty of the MacBook, I eat and drink near my MacBook, I dropped my biscuit on the keypad, didn't have to worry, just took the cover off, got rid of the crumbs, and put it back on, perfect. The cover is so thin it does not mark ur screen when closed. It's a good price as well. The delivery was quick, took 2 days to be delivered. Great buy, just get one, it's a very small price to pay to protect ur expensive MacBook.

    Moshi Clearguard

    • Written by from ILFRACOMBE

    Late Macbook Air 2011.

The product itself is very thin and nice & clear, don't expect totally transparent. The fit is fine, only a little loose but nothing that should cause a problem as it simply sits on the keys.

Typing with the keyboard, well you just need to type that little bit harder but nothing that should cause a problem. Perhaps if your using this for long periods you might want to remove just to get a better tactile feeling.

No problem with closing the lid either.

Overall functional product which simply keeps the keyboard clean , perhaps a little high on the cost side, but compared to others its better by a long shot.

    Fantastic product

    • Written by from Surbiton

Really amazing product. It fit's so well that it is barely noticeable. The typing is slightly more heavy, but nothing that you wont get used to. I was very tentative in buying this and now i am very happy with this product. It is also for a UK keyboard if anyone was worried. A must have for the concerned mac owner

    Good idea

    • Written by from Stourport-on-severn

Had my macbook about 6 weeks and from day one used this and it now looks like its about 6 mths old! This however is a very good thing as my keyboard still looks like new unlike my friends thats now all shiny ......

So all in this product dose the job may start to look a little bad but £23 is a lot less than a new keyboard! Would also recommend the palm rest and mouse pad kit.
