    Absolutely amazing speakers!

    • Written by from Oldbury

These speakers really are worth the money. They are truly superb at accurate sound reproduction. I have had these speakers for a while now and I am still impressed every time I listen to them. I bought them instead of a BOSE iPod dock for added functionality.

Visitors are amazed at the sound that comes from these speakers, often commenting that it's impossible such good sound could come from speakers so small. BOSE are well known for their 'better sound through research' marketing angle - well they have definitely researched these computer speakers.

Overall I am very, very impressed. Fantastic sound reproduction for all genres - you won't be disappointed if you purchase!

The sound from these little gems is absolutely fantastic. We bought ours as a replacement for a surround sound system. Not interested in the sound bouncing off walls just wanted something to improve the terrible in built speakers! Only negative is we were told could adjust volume with tv remote can't work out how so a bit disappointed but can't fault the system otherwise. If you know how to use tv remote let me know! Get it bought!

3 Years later - Still Amazed

I bought these speakers 3 years ago. I've never once had a problem with these and the sound quality is superb. If you are having doubt's about buying this product then don't, you will not be disappointed. I'm sure these will continue to be my laptop/movie speakers for another 3 years.

    Music Heaven!

I've just got these little babies and added them to my existing Airplay system by connecting them to an Airport Express, absolutely fantastic! They give a very good sound which has depth but is not too heavy with bass.

Throw in the new Spotify app for the iPad and its as good as a Sonos system for about half the cost.

They are just fantastic, i use them all the time. The sound is brilliant and i couldn't fault it at all. I used them for a house party with about 60-70 people and i've never heard something so loud from something so small, just amazing! I would definitely suggest these to anyone looking to buy small but BRILLIANT speakers!

I've had these for about two years now and they still are amazing:
Design: 9/10 (the new Companion 5 get the 10!)
Sound: 9/10 (perfect for high and low notes! Acoustimass is great!)
Price: 7/10 (a little pricey, but you get what you pay for!)

Only slight issues are the cables for the satellites and the control pad aren't great, and sometimes distort when moving them around. I have the speakers connected to my TV, and then use the extra port available on the control pad for my iPad/iPhone etc.

    Great buy

    These are brilliant

    • Written by from Stoke on Trent

For the price of 250 pounds I think these speakers are a great buy, the sound is lovely and balanced for a 2.1 speaker system, and nicest of all, when listening to music on a low volume there is very little weight to the bass which makes for a relaxing listen, but turning the volume up reveals powerful yet extremely detailed low notes, just listen to rihannas we found love and you'll discover nuances you never even knew existed.
usually hate bose but yayyyy for these.

The perfect speakers for computer and TV

    • Written by from RINGWOOD

I listen to lots of jazz which some speakers can have trouble with the low bass notes, which some jazz pieces can have. But these speakers with there two small satellites and bass-spin, they can reach these low note with no trouble at all. In fact these speakers can be used for any type of music as they are such well rounded speakers.

They are stylish and are compact on and under the desk and use true space technology to fill the room with amazing sounds. I am able to stand in any part of my bedroom and the quality of the sound is not compromised, at all!!!

Right, as well as amazing music which these speakers produce, they can also be hooked up to a TV ( if it has a 3.5mm jack ) I have done this and the quality is superb. When I am watching action films the gun shots, explosions and even the voices are as punchy and clear as...(sorry can't think of decent metaphor)

Please please if anyone is thinking of buying these speakers, do it because the will blow your mind

    Bose companion 3 speakers

    • Written by from Glasgow

I bought these speakers around 4 months ago to use with Logic Express on my iMac. The sound reproduction quality is frankly astonishing; it is hard to believe such breadth of range can emanate from the tiny desktop speakers. The secret lies in the bass driver which has a bass gain/decrease control on it.

My iMac/speaker set up is on a corner desk in my study, where I have the small speakers on the desk, and the bass driver below facing into the corner (as per the advice in the instructions). The bass gain can be used to great effect to increase/decrease the level. I find I have to keep it quite low to avoid earthquake proportion bass where the room and my intestines vibrate and things fall off shelves...

Don't forget this system can also create the same sound sensation when connected to an HD TV, although I think it would be too much hassle to disconnect, move then reconnect the system. I bought mine solely to use with the iMac.

Overall, I cannot rate this system highly enough. This is a win-win scenario. The sound quality remains consistent with bright top/middle/bottom when I connect my Sennheiser hd 215 II headphones to the clever little volume control (the circular gadget). The only slight drawback is the on/off switch positioned on the back of the bass driver in a fiddly difficult to locate position. However this is not really a problem if like me you place the bass driver facing the wall.

    Amazing value

    • Written by from London

I bought these speakers a couple of years ago and have been so impressed with them. Considering there are other speakers way more expensive than these, I found the quality much better than many of the others! A great buy for any room and perfectly support my iMac. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

    They sound great.

    • Written by from Ipswich

I've had these speakers for almost a year. The sound they produce is amazing, a real step up from the Denon hi-fi I previously used, which was more expensive, and took up more space. I think that's mainly due to these having a sub woofer.

I would definitely recommend them, the tweeters are really small so take no space up on your desk and they make your itunes library sound much better. Well worth the price considering their size, stylish looks, and sound quality.

    Nothing compares.

    • Written by from Colchester

I've had these speakers for around a year now, and their sound is unrivalled in quality. The bass is astonishing, and despite their tiny size they can easily fill a room. Forget the Companion 5's, they're too large for what they are, and the step up in quality over these is marginal at best, especially considering the price difference.

These really are a must have for any music fan. I'd also recommend buying a mini (Belkin make a nice 30cm one) headphone jack so you can easily plug in your iPod/iPhone into the line-in port on the volume controller, allowing you to use these both for your Mac, and as speaker system for you portable music device.

    Another Bose Best

    • Written by from Welling

Yet again, Bose have made a set of FANTASTIC speakers. Never heard quality like it before. Crisp sound, great bass and unbelievably loud! I love the fact that there are 2 inputs. I have my iPad and Mac connected. Also, the control pad is great, with touch sensitive on/off and stylish volume up/down.

Will Bose ever fail to impress?

I will post a review of them soon on YouTube. Look out for it.

    Stunningly good set of speakers...

    • Written by from GULLANE

Bought these and fixed them up to my Samsung 40 inch LED Series 6 TV today. So far the Six Nations rugby matches have sounded fantastic, and music channels really set these speakers apart from the cheaper alternatives. Bass level is fully controllable from the back of the Amplifier, and plugging this into the 3.5mm headphone port on the TV allows me to use a Sky remote or the Samsung remote to control the volume, as well as the control dial that comes with the speakers. The sound output from such tiny speakers is fantastic. Cannot fault these speakers! If you're using them for a computer, buy the Companion 5s because the surround sound effect is noticeable when up close to the speakers, however for TV viewing the 3s are best.

that great thing about it that it has no watts, bose has a good system that is not powered by watts u think it would be around 1000 watt but its all about the base and the loudness which is all put in these speakers, without the base which u can turn down and up it will make a big difference that u will hear, i brought mine from bose because u get 2 years guarantee and apple only has 30 days under any condition which u might want to try it out in apple then buy it from bose.

    Very happy

    • Written by from Tamworth

I bought these speakers on the recommendation of a colleague of mine who works as an ICE designer in the automotive industry. After setting them up I was initially disappointed and felt the sound was "muddy" in the lows and lacked some mid range punch. But now after a few days of the speakers bedding in and me tweaking I am VERY happy with the sound quality. The stereo separation is excellent, almost giving a headphone feel. I also feel they render subtle sound very well, when playing some classical piano music I noticed the hammer sounds that I did not hear before. I HAVE NO HISS AT ALL!! if you do send them back.
