    Poor

    • Written by from Manchester

Improvement on the last but still not good enough, I usually use my Sennheiser CX300II headphones and they've finally kicked it, back to using the apple ones temporarily and the sound is shocking. Im no audio expert but theres a clear difference in the sound quality, and for the cost of these you could get a decent pair. When you spend £500 on a phone you would think they could chuck in a lasting charger and decent set of headphones haha! Taking liberties apple, sort it ;)

Only works in the left ear?

    • Written by from Biggin Hill

Comfortable fit but after about 6 and a half months use, the right hand earphone's volume dropped so low that you only hear it from the left. Not good enough to be frank, another badly designed apple product.

    Good sound but not comfortable

    • Written by from Aylesbury

Once finally in ear comfortably without falling out every 2 seconds the quality is alright.
Had much more comfortable and satisfying headphones, but considering they were free with the phone can't complain. Would not justify paying for them. Not worth the price.

    not good

I got a pair of earpods with my Iphone 5 3 months ago and they have already broken with the music constantly stopping. But the actual product is very good apart from how quickly they break.

    Apple are getting worse

    • Written by from SHEFFIELD

I wanted to buy a set of real Apple Headphones since the cheap knock off work until they don't, which is normally not long after buying them.

Buy cheap buy twice, the problem is I could buy six times and not have spent as much on the cheap ones as the total of one of these.

Also there isn't a free delivery charge AND the headphones were two days late getting here.

The headphones are nice, but nothing special from what I can gather so far. Feel properly comfy. Base and quality are no different to my ears than my old pair of the original Apple headphones.

    You are getting worse Apple.

    Shocking! (Excuse the pun)

    • Written by from Milton Keynes

Really don't appreciate being electrocuted every time I touch the bottom of my wire. The bottom of the wire (bear the jack input bit) had split, exposing wires that, painfully, shock me constantly. Not really fancying purchasing a new pair of earphones.... When they cost £25 and I can get a perfectly good pain that don't break like this at poundland.

Just another apple accessory that has let me down. Revert back to the old ones!

I don't think I've got it in me to give 1 star!

    • Written by from Hull

I cannot stand these headphones. The shape is all wrong. Im lazy and like to lay down. they DO NOT stay in! I've never thought I had weird ears before but with all these hundreds of people they tested them on vouching that they're better, its all I can conclude. Spend the extra £ and get the buds. So much better....although mine broke. Sob!

    Uncomfortable

Although the sound quality has improved, these earpods are very uncomfortable and fall out too easily. Very disappointed.

    Waste of Money

    • Written by from HASLEMERE

As usual the packaging is first class! The design aesthetic is funky - nice to see that innovation is alive & well at Apple. The sound quality is impressive too, but you've got to find it by manipulating the earphones inside your earholes until they deliver & then hold the earphones in place with your fingers (not a good look).

The problem is, Apple, that one size does not fit all. To have to grapple with earphones while trying to hear what you're trying to listen to absorbs all your concentration & powers of co-ordination. If your earholes are narrow (mine are, it turns out) the shiny obtuse objects win the fight every time by sliding straight back out. Perseverance only brings frustration & sore earholes.

    Small Ear Problem

    • Written by from Kettering

The sound quality is great, much better than the previous ones including the ear buds, but having really small ears, they really hurt my ears and can't wear them for long periods of time which is such a shame. I'm sure they'd be great for a 'normal' sized ear person!

    One head phone stopped working

    • Written by from Monaghan

I've recently bought a pair of these headphone, and i was so happy with their performance comparing to the last ones. The sound was excellent!
I used them only 5 or 6 times and one of the headphones stopped working!!

Now, im a big apple fan, and i never had any problems with their other product. i own Macbook Pro, I pad 3, iPhone 5, and everything works great....but its these small things that apple need to focus on!!
It really made me be aware of apple, as faults happen even to apple products.
But considering their price, it's not too bad.

    OW!

    • Written by from London

Good sound quality, however as I was watching the ad for these head phones it specifically says : "A breakthrough for ears everywhere" well I prefer the old ones they may not fit everyone, e.g my mum who puts them in upside down, but the majority of people who I have met can fit them and my mum now uses in ear headphones (not apple)

    Painful

    • Written by from Woking

The sound quality is good for the price but if you have smaller ears they become really painful after 10 minutes and they won't stay put. After a week mine went in the bin. Couldn't stand the pain in my ears when I wore them.

Good sound but do not fit

    • Written by from Scarborough

These earphones which came with my iPhone 5 would have got five stars for quality of sound especially for the price. But they are too big and do not fit - after a short time of trying to use them your ears ache. Such a shame.

    Okay but not great!

    • Written by from Belfast

If you were looking good sound for your money I'd maybe spend an extra few pounds and get a reputable companies earphones and not these, after about half an hour’s use or less they end up hurting my ears due to the over sizing of them and sound quality wouldn't drown out other background noise over its poor lack of volume.

I feel disappointed after purchasing a £600 phone to get such badly designed and I'll-fitting choice of headphone replacement, they're supposed to be wore by people maybe thinking of or being able to go to the gym, after 20 mins I really couldn't wait till I got till the end of my run!

Don't get me wrong the sound quality was good, but for the money or slightly more you could've had a decent set of Sony, Klipsch, Sennheiser, or Beats. The bass I found was nonexistent in the headphones unless you went to switch on mega bass booster, (and a good way to know a good pair of headphones is you don't have to have the volume up full or on any equaliser settings to listen to your music).

On average I would say the headphones, (bar the lack of volume), are a tiny improvement on the last ones, but the ill-fitting of them means you would be limited to what time period you could wear these for!

You Need Buds To Keep Them In

    • Written by from Warwick

Amazing sound, but unless you keep them in one position and don't move they fall out. Useless for walking, driving, the gym, running, well pretty much anything - there needs to be a soft foam bud accessory that keeps them positioned in the ear. Nice idea but its like the person who invented them didn't move, because if they had they would have fallen out DOH!!

Still don't fit, although good sound quality

    • Written by from Wakefield

Unfortunately Apple have spent 3 years designing these and they still don't ship headphones I can use. They fall out straight away for me and I have had to resort to buying some in-ear earbuds. They do have a good sound quality, but the shape and size just mean I can't actually use them. Would really prefer Apple to give a choice on checkout of headphones.

    Not my ears!

    • Written by from MANCHESTER

I'm quickly arriving at the fact that I must have freaks for ears. I've always had a little problem with in ear phones, but these really are the worst I've ever come across. There's not a chance of them staying in. I specifically bought them as the are designed to fit most ears. I'm obviously not most ears.
Sound quality is good for the first 15 seconds until they slip out. It must be nice to have sensible ears. Back to headphones for me.
