    AMAZING

    • Written by from Farnborough

Got this track pad as a birthday present from my brother. At first I thought it might not be that great. I have a Macbook Pro and a Mac Pro. I love using the MBP track pad, so was eyeing on this new track pad. I already has OSX 10.6.7 on my Mac Pro, opened the box, turned on the unit, searched for bluetooth devices and it was instantly recognised. The Trackpad feels excellent, and has now replaced my optical Apple mouse. I love using it for Logic Pro and Adobe Photoshop / Premiere CS5.5. Great product.

    Brilliant!

This is an amazing product! Have recently bought it and am very very impressed. It is comfortable to use. Some of the install glitches in the other reviews have been sorted and is as simple as every apple product! It looks great and is a brilliant product especially with the new multi-touch features that are coming out with Lion.

I got the magic trackpad a couple months ago and i was reading all the reviews about it, people kept on saying that it hurts your wrist, it doesn't work properly. Sorry but all that doesn't happen, nothing at all has gone wrong with it, works fantastic and hasn't gone wrong once ! Apple your doing brilliant keep the good work up.

    The Star of my Desk

    • Written by from MELKSHAM

This has to be the smartest, most intuitive, quickest and easiest way to get around my Mac Pro desktop ever invented! I have had it about a week before writing this and I have now put my Mouse away in the cupboard and don't expect to be getting it out again any time soon. It's so much easier on the hand moving round the 30" Cinema Display and is still much easier on my smaller 22" screen.

Well Done Apple, another good reason never to use a PC!

    Incredible!

I took the plunge and purchased this from the local Apple store a few days ago. Words cannot describe how cool this product is. It is incredibly tactile and versatile, and probably means that I will never use a mouse again.

    Okay but disappointed.

    • Written by from Lowestoft

Having recently purchased an iMac, I decided I would give the Magic Trackpad a try after reading the glowing reviews that have been posted. In total honesty, it is undeserving of it's praise. I found it rough on the hand, tiring to click properly and the angle was uncomfortable on the wrist. I feel sorry for the Magic Mouse and the amount of stick it gets from the reviewers, I however feel it is the best input device for a computer to date.
In summary, get a Magic Mouse over a Trackpad any day.

    Absolutely brilliant

    • Written by from Northolt

Took a little getting used to after the Magic Mouse, slightly different gestures, but pure genius - why did Apple wait so long before making this.

Would be much nicer if it was cheaper, but then again it's Apple so what do we expect?

Get one today you wont be disappointed!!!

    Nice bit of kit

    • Written by from North Walsham

When I was first buying a Mac I was deciding between an iMac and a MacBook Pro. I went with the iMac but I always missed the touchpad of the MB Pro. Luckily this is just as good if not better, sits perfectly against the keyboard and is great to use. Complete replacement for the magic mouse?? Too early to tell, but it's in with a shot. Try one in a store before you buy though as it won't be for everybody.

    Stroking it - the ultimate

    • Written by from BRECON

Yeah, most of us Apple fans would like to stroke Apple products that we own!!

This, the trackpad, allows you to do this - whatever you need to do. Yippee. It does. Make things more uniform and easier, so if you like the system on a laptop, as opposed to a mouse, THIS IS FOR YOU, my friend. Expensive but, oh! so strokeable!

    Go for it.

Excellent piece of kit, make sure you go into the preference panel to set it up in a way that's right for you. I've got achy joints so I needed to have a 'touch tap' rather than the physical press.

    Simply Apple through and through

    • Written by from Wellesbourne

First review i've done but thought this deserved writing about. Bought my new MBP last week and found myself struggling to do four finger swipes on the MBP trackpad (Strange because I don't have large hands) . Decided to bite the bullet and buy a Magic Trackpad, best purchase i've made. Gestures are easier to make and it is much more comfortable to use the Magic Trackpad than the MBP trackpad. Tried the Magic Mouse and would recommend the Magic Trackpad over the Magic Mouse to anyone.

    Not just a gimmick!

    • Written by from Harpenden

I have been using this trackpad for over a year now and I can safely say that I still love it! I use both the magic mouse and magic trackpad to control my iMac and I use both of them. The trackpad is perfect for general tasks like browsing the internet and arranging files but in my opinion, I prefer to use the magic mouse for more precision tasks such as photoshop work. It was incredibly easy to set up and use, and this is from someone that first used this when I made the first switch from pc to mac. You will find quite shortly after purchase that you will be working quicker and your wrist will not ache after heavy use. In addition, I can confirm the excellence of the anti-wear desgn of the trackpad as, to date, it is still in mint condition! Build quality is superb as always, thoroughly reccomend!

    Mouse no more

    • Written by from Hamilton

I really disliked the Apple magic mouse so I was apprehensive ordering the Trackpad. I'm glad to report that after using the product for 1 week I haven't picked up the mouse once. I'm a self employed graphic designer and it took a bit of getting used to (especially when doing cut outs) although it was well work persevering. My only criticism would be at the end of a 12 hour (or so) day I do find my wrist can be slightly sore, but I'm guessing this is due to me putting to much pressure on the desk with my wrist and bad posture. In summary I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially is you're using osX Lion.

    Track Pad

    • Written by from Tullamore

This is a very innovative piece of technology by Apple. Makes using Pro Tools 8 and Photoshop CS4 a dream. Controlling Pro Tools is just like using a HUI or digital console to work. Very flexible, affordable and fun to use. Very comfortable too. No more cramped wrists and hands from using a mouse to work!

    Three months on

    • Written by from Curry Rivel

This morning when I powered up the mac it couldn't find the trackpad. So that answers the question of how long the batteries last. (The mac is in use about 8 hours use a day). New batteries popped in and back to working.

I couldn't cope with the push the pad to click - I found it too clumsy and hard to select text or perform drag type operations. Enabling the tap to click option made it a far more fluid experience and those issues didn't exist for me once I had done that.

My mouse was unplugged two months ago as a visiting colleague needed to borrow it. When he handed it back I didn't bother plugging it back in again. I have no use for it.
