I bought the new imac with the magic mouse and the wireless keyboard when I bought this about June time and it's the best thing that I have ever bought. Nothing has gone wrong with any of the equipment either the screen, mouse or the wireless keyboard.

Recommended this to all the people that live in my house as we are now known as the apple family as we all have at least one of every apple product that they do. Apple is the way forward for any computer device or even phone I can promise I would never buy any other product apart from apple in the many many years to come

    Long Live APPLE.

Brilliant addition to an amazing purchase

    • Written by from Filey

Have recently purchased my own iPad - as I couldn't prize my wife's off her - and am totally taken with it; the laptop is consigned to history! I found the whole typing thing a little difficult to grasp so purchased the keyboard; from receiving the package to typing on it took about a minute. Soooo easy and brilliant to use - for the money it's a no brainer!
Well done Apple - yet again!

Great keyboard... until a few keys stopped working.

    • Written by from Belfast

I've had my imac almost 3 years, I found the wireless keyboard to be excellent, worthy of 5 stars, until a few months after purchase the X key popped off, no idea why, it clips on again and it works ok but regularly comes off again. Then last month when i returned from 5 weeks holiday the 'a' or 'ctrl' keys didn't work, after a test using the keyboard viewer I realised the left 'shift' button and 'alt' key weren't working either and there is no explanation at all. I know nothing was spilled as I was away and there is no moisture on my desk or any way it could have become damaged. As a student its rather difficult to type essays without an A key and having no 'ctrl' function is just annoying. I have no other faults or problem with my imac and my partner's 10 year old mac and keyboard are still working perfectly so I'm sure its not wear and tear. Looks like I have no choice but to buy a new keyboard and hope the same doesn't happen to it but a quick internet search leads me to believe this kind of thing is fairly common. disappointing for a keyboard with a £57 price-tag!

    No UK version

    • Written by from Llanyre

I love the feel of the keyboard and set it up in a few seconds with my PC. I've got through at least 5 cheap keyboards over the last few years and as I was buying a new Macbook Pro, thought I may as well get a decent Apple keyboard to go with it.

No issues yet, though time will tell how it stands up to daily use, but my low rating is based solely on the keyboard mapping issues and missing keys.

I purchased a 'British' version of this keyboard and expected the characters printed on the keys to match what is typed on the screen, and it doesn't. It's a US keyboard.

    Sleek bit of kit

    • Written by from Swindon

The Apple wireless keyboard is very light, so good for travelling, looks good, and I find it excellent for typing emails. I have only recently bought my iPad 3, so am just about to use 'Pages' software, but I think this will greatly enhance my use of word processing on the iPad. I would recommend this product. Expensive, but as others have said - worth it. The backspace to delete is fine for me. Pity the instructions that came with the product only refer to Mac, so I had to figure out how to pair up on iPad without assistance. Otherwise - very good product.

    Highly recommended

    • Written by from St Albans

Just taken delivery of the wireless keyboard and using it for iPad 2 - so impressed, looks gorgeous and was using it in less than 20 seconds after taking it out of the packaging. I normally use my iPad for apps and surfing the internet but the keyboard is going to add another dimension to it - using the on-screen keyboard can be uncomfortable for more than a few sentences and awkward if tilted up on a stand. Now I can sit at my desk and use it as I would a laptop. Expensive but worth it.

    Apple Wireless Keyboard

    • Written by from Colchester

In a whole, this is another quality product from Apple. Like all Apple products, the keyboard is very easy to set up and comfortable to use.

However, the only bad thing I have to say about the keyboard is that the quality of the plastic for the keys aren't as good as the keys on the MacBooks so it would have been nice for them to use the same sort of plastic but, they are still good quality none the less.

This is a fantastic product and well worth getting if, like me, you use your ipad to write documents and send emails. I highly reccomend it. It completely transformed the what I can do with my ipad.

    wireless keyboard

    • Written by from Huntingdon

I purchased this keyboard in the last year - then purchased the trackpad this year - the cursor flies all over the place and despite taking it into Genius bar they couldn't see what was wrong. I now have to purchase another keyboard - hopefully it won't happen again!

    Caps lock broken..

    • Written by from London

Caps lock - fairly random as to whether it would work (found only using the far right of the button had a better success rate). Now the light is just showing as on - irrespective of whether it is. Seems this is a common fault on both the wired and wireless keyboards form reading the reviews.

The lack of basic buttons (Delete, page up/down, home, end) is very frustrating and now i am trying to use my Mac more for word processing etc makes this product pretty awful.

Connectivity also seems to be an issue; as it regular becomes unconnected for 20 / 30 seconds.

So many people are moaning about it not having a number pad? Ok, it doesnt but it has numbers as does a standard keyboard, a competent typist wont use a number pad. Surely you looked before you bought? Der!!! It doesnt have a delete button? er it does.... Second button down, top right!!! a competent typist will correct as they go along Der!!!!! If you want to delete a large block or picture/ page etc highlight and delete..Der!!! with the Ipad 2 there are only two keys that wont work, the rest do exactly as they are meant to. I work for the Emergency Services and use my iPad 2 constantly. Now I have this keyboard I use it even more. IT IS THE DOGS DO DO's. It's meant for a specific job, which is to be a lightwieght portable keyboard. It's not to replace a pc keyboard it is a fantastic bit of kit all round. My only complaint? they dont do a carry case for it.

Although the keyboard itself is absolutely beautiful there are some drawbacks. I have had mine for a little while now and I must say I barely used it. Why is that you might ask? Well for one I wanted the keyboard not only to use on my mac but also on my PS3. Having looked at other keyboards this one just generally looks nicer and I would usually go for Apple products because they do tend to work fine. The one I got had issue with both connecting to my mac and to my PS3. It would drop it connection a lot on both platforms and quite often I would have to re-pair the devices. Not only this but having left mine on the shelf, for not a considerable amount of time, the batteries corroded inside. I have never had this problem with anything else that takes a battery and I am led to believe that there is no way to repair or fix the problem without damaging and ruining the keyboard. My suggestion to you would be to be wary and make sure that if you are not entirely happy with it to take it back. My suggestion to Apple would be to make a wireless keyboard that we can all plug in and save any issues with batteries at all.

    No delete key

    • Written by from Coatbridge

The delete key is probably one of the most used keys on any keyboard but it is not on this one. I am puzzled by Apple's leaving it out. Instead you have to use the mouse and backspace key.

I have been trying to turn my ipad into a mini desktop replacement. An airprint printer and this keyboard have done very well. it is so much better than my old plastic form keyboard. I can type in comfort with great speed and hit the keys as hard as i want (normally very hard when im typing fast), and it doesnt hurt at all, unlike my old one. nice unobtrusive sleek design. havent had it long enough to say about the battery life but it is a lot more comfortable than my old one and i make almost no mistakes when typing at speed. extremely good quality. ine of the most amazing parts gas nothing to do with typing. the indicator light looks like its made out of solid aluminium. its only when i look very hard that i can see a series of marks for the light. best keyboard i have ever used!

Another overpriced shiny pretty thing that's awful to actually use

    • Written by from Teddington

    A keyboard that:
    1) for no good reason has special characters in different places from any standard UK keyboard you're likely to use;
    2) doesn't have a dedicated key for #;
    3) doesn't have a delete button - only a backspace/delete
These are not quirky, amusing little Apple idiosyncrasies but just plain old poor design
Oh and I've yet to find an application where the volume controls on the keyboard actually alter the sound level

The Apple Wireless Keyboard paired seamlessly to my iPad and iMac. As a touch-typist with quite large hands, I was concerned regarding some other reviews. But my fingers absolutely fly across the Apple Wireless Keyboard with the minimum of wrong-keys hit/typos etc. It's definitely the best keyboard I've used and, no, I do not work for Apple. In fact, I'm a very recent PC to Apple convert. Okay, it's pricey but worth it. And there's no denying how fantastic it looks on your desk, or if you decide to do a little writing when out and about - it's great for posing! Love it, love it, love it.
