Horrible

The worst headphones that can come with such an awesome product. it won't stay in my ears, sound quality is ultra poor and everyone else can hear what i'm listening to.
Quite a few times i've been told to turn them off at libraries coz the sound leaks out!!
the remote and the mic is a neat idea though :)3 of 8 people found this useful

Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic
awful

every apple product ive ever bought with the free , normal heaphones i just put back in the box and avoid like the plague.
they're not comfortable to wear.
they leak very badly.
when i'm near someone else using them on the tube or train, they leak very badly and its easy to hear what others are listening to...if i notice someone with them i usually travel to another carriage in the hope i can longer hear the tinny music leaking.
generally, i have about 3 or 4 of earphones from various apple products and they never get used .
the only positive points are they have a mic, and remote functions.5 of 14 people found this useful

Review of Apple Earphones
Written by DH from Brighton
02-Oct-2009
After buying some new iPod earphones directly from the apple store in Brighton, i thought it would be a good idea to share my views on them.
First of all, fro £21 just for simple or-earphones it may seem like a lot of money however, for that, customers can expect apple's unique headphone style, an inline remote with microphone and slightly better sound quality than the headphones bundled with the original iPod/iPhone.
The inline remote works very well as you don't have to keep on getting out the iPod/iPhone to change the track. This defiantly saves on a lot of battery life as the screen is never lit up. With the ability to pause, play, skip, previous and increase/decrease the volume, most of the functions are on the remote. however, before you buy these: i bought these for my iPhone 2g, and the volume changer doesn't seem to have an impact on the actual volume coming through. this maybe because of a faulty product, however i have heard other people having this issue so its unlikely to be a faulty product.
Finally, i believe that these earphones give slightly better performance than the the original phones. this is only a slight increment, however it is noticeable. there is deeper bass which is defiantly a welcomed addition. this performance increase however may because of the constant use my old earphones got over a 6 month period. Either way, i would still say that they are marginally better.
So, to sum up, i personally believe that these earphones are worth the £21 price tag, however if you want alot better quality than the originals then look at shure, bose or sennheiser phones. 4*7 of 8 people found this useful
