well one thing i was unhappy about was the fact that it didn't come with a cable,still its ok as a cable did come with my 3gs when i brought it so ime able to use this now.the product its self works fine.its well made looks good & the sound/music i here if i plug a 3.5 jack into the line out on the back of it works a treat.i brought mine from o2 at a cost of £19.00,i feel its a little over priced for what it can do & it would of been lovely if it came with my iphone 3gs when i brought it.still all in all ime very pleased with this apple iphone 3g/3gs dock.i rate this product with 4 stars as it didn't come with a cable to hook it up to my i mac.

The iPhone 3G dock is something i have seen in apple stores for a while, of course being a teenager this was too over priced and originally thought would be useless.
However by the time Christmas had came and stocking fillers were needed i suggested the iPhone 3G dock.
Come Christmas morning i opened to find it, happy with the present I opened it and found the dock (without leads however which is why it doesn't get 4 star rating), light and small it went beside my bed with the AC adaptor and lead.
After a usage for 2 months i have to say this is a brilliant accessory and a must have, it really give s the iPhone its place
However be aware it is only for the 'naked' iphone so my recommendation of a case to accompany is the incase slider which you can find on the apple site which makes it possible to dock by removing bottom section of the case

My partner brought me to charge my I phone 3gs but it is so unreliable that I have given up using it. I would expect to be able to charge my phone and the battery to be full in the morning. However, with this dock on ocassion I would find myself without battery on my phone after I had put it on charge overnight, or that the battery was not fully charged in the morning!

Eventually, gave up when my I phone informed me that this device was not compatible for charging my phone, when it states that it is for charging, syncing and data transfer.

To be honest I think the device is poorly made as it is difficult to dock the iPhone and it is too large to provide any support to the phone whilst it is docked. I would not bother spending the money As it is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

I bought this dock as I wanted to charge it without keeping it plugged into my laptop all the time and let it stand on its own. This dock is really good quality, however not worth 22 pounds. I have noticed some people have said it doesn't fit the phone, but if you read it says ONLY for iPhone 3G, not the old phone. Also be aware that if you have a case on your phone you need to remove it first otherwise it won't fit. All in all I am happy with the product and it did arrive quickly.

Thats right just like the reveiws tell you, the phone dont fit! I can't believe that i didn't read the reviews before buying DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME!!!

The iphone doesn't fit in properly, you really have to force it in and even then most of the time it still jumps out. A complete waste of money, unless you like adapting plastic mouldings with a sharp knife/

I wasn't sure whether I liked this dock or not when i seen it on the website, but when it arrived at my house i fell in love with it. It looks beautiful-as do all apple products-and fits the phone perfectly. One thing i really like about it is the 3.5 mill line out on the back. This is great as you can connect it to almost anything to play music. I bought the bose soundock for my iPod video and my iPhone does play music through it, but won't charge which was a bit of a bummer. This dock sorts the problem i had of not being able to play music and charge at the same time.
5 stars.

This is perfect for what it says. It doesn't bother me that it doesn't come with a cable or it wasn't included with the phone. The following two points bother me because I see no reason why they cannot be solved.

1. Make the base a lot heavier. This needs to sit on a desk without being influenced by the weight of the cable. I should be able to lift the phone in and out without moving the dock or needing to hold it down.

2. Make a black one. I understand that a lot of Apple's products are white such as the Apple Macs and some of the iPhone and iPods but you now also do a lot in black. The most popular iPhone colour where I live is black and my iPod touch is also black as are most. It wouldn't cost any more either.

You have a great product, you can make the accessories so much better by watching people use them.

The product is great .. but two things you should be aware of - first of all, there are no cables in the box (Not for USB or Line Out) - Second, you are not able to control the volume from the phone .. this can only be done on the amplifier, my amplifier is part of the subwoofer, so .. :(

But otherwise a great product - five stars from me !

As many have said, one of these should really have been included in the box, but at £19, I guess I can live with that.

However, what I can't live with is the fact that it doesn't include the USB cable!! I bought two of these (one for home, one for work), thinking that I'd then keep the cable that came with the iPhone for travel use. But I'm now going to have to spend even more on a couple of cables for the docks!

Not good guys. I can't think of any other cradle or dock type of product that doesn't at least include its own connecting cable.

So...lose one star for not including a dock with the iPhone in the first place and lose two more for not including the cable with the dock! Bad Apple!!
