    Great keyboard

    • Written by from FAREHAM

I have been using this keyboard for five months now without any problems - it is as others have written here a joy to use. It is solid and well made with the addition of useful USB sockets located on each side. The keys are light and responsive and in my opinion it is far better than the wireless keyboard originally supplied with my iMac. Recommended.

    Well worth it

    • Written by from Lynmouth

Mucked about with a couple of aftermarket keyboards, one wired and one wireless. Ended up buying this. A little more expensive but lovely to use, built for Mac. I spend 8 hours a day using it, so important that it makes me happy...!

    Fantastic Keyboard that works perfectly!

    • Written by from Skegness

A fantastic keyboard that is a pleasure to type on and is well designed - meaning it is easy to type on!
Keyboard is same design and feel as my Mac Book Pro keyboard and is designed just as well!
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for an apple keyboard to use with a Mac.

    Great keyboard

    • Written by from Ely

I bought this with my previous macbook for two main reasons which was to have the numerical pad and so I can carry it with me to use on my work machine to keep the same key layout and because I really like how the keys work compared to standard PC keyboard.

It accomplishes those tasks well. I've carried mine around for years and it still looks mostly new (disregarding occasionally needing to clean it from my dirt fingers) and it's nice, light and thin.

What I would really want to see is this exact keyboard but in a wireless version. The other wireless keyboard is sort of pointless for a macbook (no additional keys) and I don't like the idea of having numerical keypad separate even if the Belkin option is a nice option.

There's not much else to say. It's a keyboard, it types well and it holds up well. What more can you ask for?

Bought this along with a Trackpad to use with my MacBook pro & Cinema Display. Excellent functionality, good positive feel to keys and it is great to have 2 extra USB ports.

The only keyboard that doesn't give me RSI.

I've used lots of keyboards, including so-called ergonomic keyboards, and this is the only one that doesn't give me RSI in my forearms.

    Excellent for all tenosynovitis sufferers

    • Written by from Bow

I have very bad tenosynovitis in my right hand. This Apple keyboard is a joy to use and presents absolutely no problems for anybody who has issues with keyboards which have a lot of travel/vibration when pressing keys

The keyboard is soft touch and vibrationless with a tiny amount of travel. I never have problems with my tenosynovitis even if using the keyboard a lot.

The only issue I had with it is that certain keys are in a different place when compared to a Microsoft keyboard. However once used to the difference this is not a problem. It's also the sort of issue which crops up with anything you buy new so I'm not reducing the 5 stars for this as it's a very temporary issue

I've also had three years of no problem use out of it until I doused it with half a mug of tea yesterday which is why I am here checking the price of a new one!

    A beautiful keyboard

    • Written by from Workington

I received this keyboard with my iMac. I went for this version over the wireless version as I like to have a numeric keypad.

Everything about this keyboard is just perfect. The keys are a good size and its a really quiet keyboard to type on. The keyboard is really well made out of aluminium (which is a nice change from the usual plastic). The angle of the keyboard I find perfect and I can type for a long time without getting any wrist pain at all.

A nice touch as well is the two USB 2 ports on each end of the keyboard. These are ideal for connecting a USB thumb drive or for connecting your iPhone or iPad. It is possible to charge the iPhone too.

I am totally satisfied with this keyboard and cannot fault it at all.

Best keyboard since the IBM Model M.

    • Written by from Macclesfield

This keyboard is the best keyboard I've used apart from the Model M. It looks brilliant, works well and is comfortable to use. The numeric keypad is great.
The fact it's wired won't appeal to everyone however as I was adding this to a Mac without Bluetooth this was the only option.

Simply The Best - Get This Keyboard Over The Smaller Wireless One

    • Written by from Cannock

Received my very first Apple product a few days ago - an iMac (I have never owned any Apple product before, not even an iPod or iPhone).

This keyboard is beautifully made and is so lovely to use. They have clearly looked at the designs of keyboards and rethought it (eg: why are keys so high on other keyboards? Do they really need to have a tapered shape to them? No they don't). The keys are flat and low, perfectly spaced etc, so they are a joy to use.

Why would anyone want the smaller wireless keyboard, when this one has the extra numeric keys and the arrow keys as well as the delete key? It is so much better to use and much more useful in everyday use than the smaller wireless keyboard.

Bought this Keyboard a few months ago mainly for the numeric keypad for entering accounts info, looked at the stand alone numeric one, but thought for the small amount of extra money and extra usb ports might aswell go with the full version, glad I did what a pleasure the keyboard is to use and the quality is excellent, a good product!

    First rate keyboard

    • Written by from Laurencekirk

Switched to iMac after using PCs from when they were first sold and one of my concerns was the Apple keyboard design. Went for the tethered version as I use the numeric keypad a lot and would probably miss it, along with the dedicated editing keys. After a month's use, I've no regrets. Feels solid and a decent weight to keep it stationary on my desk; well spaced keys, with nice touch. Only problems have been with me remembering some of the slightly different shortcut combinations, but I'm getting used to them (and that's not strictly a keyboard issue).

Tempted to buy the wireless version to use with my iPad.

    Absolutely Brilliant

    • Written by from Farnborough

Really nice weight and feel to the keys. Looks great on the desk as well. I read in some reviews that people are not happy with its performance when in contact with water, however having spilt beer on it the only problems i have are sticky keys - still registers typing fine. £40 for a replacement not bad considering what such a great keyboard this is.

    One of the Best Keyboards

    • Written by from Birmingham

This is my favourite USB keyboard, keys are really comfortable to type on, it looks stunning and overall is really good, one of my favourites keyboards as well as that on the PowerBook G4 and the earlier MacBook Pro's, only backlight would have been a great addition, but doesn't matter greatly

    Typical Apple

    • Written by from Wigan

This product is typical of apple! Perfect! The design of this keyboard is the most elegant i've ever seen. The sheer ergonomics of the keyboard increased my typing speed by 20 wpm. I've been a general windows keyboard user all of my life and since I got this keyboard I would never consider going back! Even when connected to a pc it still worked. And well put it this way, this keyboard will soon be followed with a new Mac! Well done apple.

I just bought a new imac i and was disappointed to get a pants wireless keyboard, talk about budget cuts, i was a victim of buying a new full size alu keyboard! why did they do that! As a designer, you need to use shortcuts and the wireless keyboard makes this difficult!

Looks great, feels great and I can type faster

    • Written by from SANDHURST

It looks great & matches my Macbook Pro. I prefer the feel of this keyboard to the old Apple keyboard that it replaces, as I can type quicker with the reduced key travel on these thinner keyboards. Also I have got used to the built-in keyboard on the Macbook Pro and so no longer suffer with typos after a trip away typing on the laptop. I also find it less of a strain on my wrists as it is so thin.

But if you prefer the clunky keys on older keyboards then I guess this might not be for you.
