    Best keyboard I've ever used

    Written by JB from LONDON

    07-Mar-2008

I have just changed from the Logitech Cordless desktop S530 keyboard to this Apple one and love it -- the keys are well spaced out and very precise to type on, with no lateral movement and no need to press the keys in a long way (quite unlike the Logitech S530), leading to quicker typing with fewer typos. It is also very quiet to use -- a previous reviewer made this point and it's not something I had ever particularly thought about but it's true and makes it pleasant to use too.

The only small reservation is that it takes up a USB slot. It does provides two replacement USB slots but they are low power, e.g. with not enough power to recharge an iPod. If only there was a bluetooth version with a numeric keypad...

My Fifth Keyboard in Two Years

    Written by CB from AIRDRIE

    06-Mar-2008

This is the first time I've used this particular model. On the plus side, the key response is far better than previous models, and for touch typists like myself, it makes for quicker typing. On the downside is that there's no riser support at the back of the keyboard, having to use my monitors stand for this. Also, the Enter key is too small, and feel that to give the keyboard more 'feel', the keys would be better being less flat and more like previous models (bevelled).

    Hopefully, this one lasts longer!

    Very,Very Impressed

In a word this keyboard is wonderful. Its a beauty to type on, feels great ad looks great.
I had absolutely no issues when I first started to use it and all the functions keys worked straight away. Unlike a few people it took very little time to get acclimatized with the new feel. If you need a new keyboard i would seriously recommend that you buy this one!!!!

I have this keyboard for 6 months and I think it is excellent. Very good design with a good feel and response from the keys. The USB outlets on the side are a real bonus for connecting color calibration equipment etc.
A good example of apple at its best.

    Enjoy

Great item for looks and use

    Written by KH from CANNOCK

Got this keyboard two days ago and i love it, i use it on my powerbook and it really comfortable.
Its great for placing on your lap whilst you type as its almost flat, and unlike the old keyboard style, there's no nasty gaps under the keyboard, which is a problem if your son keeps eating biscuits whilst playing on the internet - crumbs!!!.
I really like it, a quick swiff over with some i-clean and its as good as new!
only minor problem is that if you connect two high power items to the usb ports at the same time, the computer tells you off!

    Excellent keyboard, worth the upgrade.

This is a great keyboard for most home users, i had planned to use it along side my older style apple keyboard, but the new one out performs on so many levels that im now buying a second one.

People may have had doubts about the flatness/laptop-like keys, but it is fine to touch type on, and it is easy to distinguish between keys.

Best thing however, is that because of its extremely low profile it feels like its part of my desk, meaning that it hardly puts any strain on my wrists/arms.

Stop eyeing it up and get it bought!!

    Love It!!!

the best keyboard i've ever used, it weighs to the table very well considering its so small. the USB ports on the side were pure genius, considering on my iMac the USB ports are round the back which can be a pain to get to because its in a hole in my wall. so i have to turn the whole computer round. All of the keys have worked fine. they are very well spaced apart so its easy to type. and also the gaps between the keys and the rest of the keyboard are tiny (less than half a mm) so i don't drop anything down there unlike with my old one where i would have 2 turn it upside down 2 get all the crums and other things that fell down the gaps!

all round excellent keyboard, would reccomend to anyone who needs a keyboard!

    Great keyboard (but be warned!)

had this bought for me as a christmas present to replace my old white one. it took a while to get used to but now i love it. the keys are well spaced out, which makes it easy to type and it looks very slick into the bargain . Having only used it since christmas i was surprised to find the the alt key on the left hand side has lost its springiness and the key has sunk into the keyboard and is now flushed with the aluminum facia.i will be returning it to the authorized dealer that i bought it from and get a replacement. fingers crossed that this was just a faulty one.I'm having to use my old keyboard in the interim and its horrible in comparison very clunky and awkward to use i hope the dealer has a replacement. Superb!

    Written by MP from Reading

I've had this now for about 6 weeks and still boggle at how nice it is to use. If you are a touch typist you will love the quiet light feel of the keys and the short press that is needed.

It works out of the box on a MAC Mini and is great for all usual tasks like e-mail, word processing etc. My only gripe is the insistence of retaining the @ symbol in an incorrect full QWERTY location on the number 2 key which makes switching between this and my work laptop keyboard a pain.

Great Keyboard, but USB memory sticks don't fit

    Written by RA from YORK

    13-Jan-2008

Just bought one of these keyboards from PC World for £29. Really nice to use like a MacBook keyboard, but if you use a USB memory stick in the USB port, found most of mine don't fit, because the clearance is too small between the port and the underside of the keyboard. This is a shame, because with the previous generation of keyboard, it just plugged straight into the port on the rear, rather than blindly trying to use the USB ports on the back of the iMac to plug in a memory stick.

Tried to use the extension cable as a flying lead, but this only works with the USB port for the keyboard, because there is a "V" shape in the middle of the connector. So all rather annoying.

This keyboard boggles my mind. It has a lovely feel and is quiet to type on. It's design is immaculate - every time I see it I smile and as a bonus it's connected to my PC (you can use free software called 'applekeys' to emulate the printscreen and scroll lock keys). How it's only £25 given the build quality and materials I'll never know. If it was £120 I can promise you, I'd be looking at how I could raise the funds! Already have two more on order for impressed friends and family...

    Great Keyboard!

    Written by SS from Bristol

    08-Jan-2008

This is the best Apple Keyboard I have seen! It feels so more nicer when you type, and it feels like you're typing with a Macbook! I put it next to my old Apple Keyboard, and it is so different! For a start, it is very thin and it looks more modern and not as plasticy as it is made out of aluminum, although the base is made from plastic. I like the idea of some of the function keys because you can Play/Pause songs on iTunes and it has got an Expose key and a Dashboard key. The brightness keys do not seem to work, unless that is because you need an Apple Cinema Display. Also, the Apple Logo has disappeared from the Command Key?.

Overall, I rate it 9/10 (and 5 stars!) because it is a great modern looking keyboard, It hasn't got the full 10/10 because it would be useful for the brightness keys to work. I think this product is a must buy!

Best PC Keyboard Money Can Buy

    Written by AL from Wednesbury

    02-Jan-2008

I’ve just had this keyboard for Christmas for my PC and it's the best keyboard I've ever used.
Apart from the quite nature of the keyboard and the fact that I can't hear my partner hammering the keys late at night, great, this is such a low price for the materials used, I can't believe it.
Two low power USB's (you shouldn't rely on them to charge your iPod or any other battery for that matter) are great for plugging my phone, camera, card reader into. Classic design, keys feel great to me.
Just remember on PC your @ and your " keys are not as marked on the keyboard, they are swapped.

Bought to replace gaming keyboard on PC. This product is a beauty to use and the feel of the keys are magnificant. This keyboard is a must have item for any users. But for PC users who is used to " being on the number two and the @ at the ' key, this keyboard keyprints are the OTHER WAY round. Even on the posted ENGLISH, and i was told the ENGLISH INTERNATIONAL only differs by the missing £ symbol on the keyboard. PC users who wish to buy this keyboard please make sure if the keys are located as the way you want it to be.

Get used to it - it's worth it

    Written by JC from HUDDERSFIELD

When I first started using this keyboard it felt ungainly and awkward, being so flat and close to desk surface. My advice would be to stick with it, I've been using it for about 5 hours and I've found myself typing more accurately and more comfortably. Once you get used to it, you'll appreciate the improvements. On another point, I have quite hairy arms (though am not a gorilla) and the new design looks like it might just prevent my fur landing in the gaps - because there aren't any. Top quality.

Sleek Looks, Fabulous Feel, Good Speeds, Very Quiet

The new keys taking you to expose and dashboard are marvelous and for a light user like myself this keyboard has opened up the ease of use to some apps.

I really wanted a wireless one but I am glad I had purchased the wired one as the extra USB ports are very useful.

If you are still on the Clear/White keyboards then you are missing out.

    A MUST BUY.
