Be Worldy but Enjoy the Music!

    Written by JM from Cardiff

This amazing pair of headphones really excell in most catagories. Of course music fanatics will look down on owners of these and scoff with Shure headphones costing at least 300 times the price.
Shop around and if possible actually listen to them before you buy!
I got an amazing deal, way below the average RRP so maybe this sweetened the deal but even at full RRP I wouldn't have been disappointed.
So then, its time you dumped those old, original iPod headphones and got some thing well made, beautifully designed and most importantly something that will make your music sound great!
I have no idea what high ends and low ends are and what to look for and I don't really care, all I know is that these are leaps and bounds over anything I have ever owned.

    Awful

    Written by JE from Stoke-on-Trent

I bought them took them straight back. Poor sound quality, they kept falling out of my ears and the price tag is unbelievable - I was expecting something special for this price but all I got was a special disappointment.

Great sound but earphones frequently fall out.

These earphones deliver very good sound quality, far superior to that of the original earbuds, however this is compromised by the fact that they slip out of my ear nomatter which size silicone pieces I have attached. These are great as long as you're willing to push them back in every 10 seconds!

    Mic section snags

    Written by PC from Maidenhead

    27-Oct-2009

I want a good set of in ear headphones and would go for these but for one thing. If you are a guy and wear shirts sometimes then the problem is that the sharp, square edges of the mic section on the right ear lead are at exactly the right level to snag on your shirt collar. I am so fed up with the right ear lead being ripped out every time I raise or turn my head.

Why can Apple smooth these sharp edges off so they just 'ride' over any item of clothing at neck height.

Good pair of cans for the money

    Written by GK from Granville

The headphones are very well balanced. They seems to have nice drivers and at no point to you feel like you are pushing them to their limit. However there is that Apple sound to them. The bass is under stated and is nowhere near the level of FSI ( arguably one of the best ). If you want to listen to bass rich music make sure that you use the bass boost EQ setting. It helps a lot. Actually one thing that I noticed with these headphones is that unlike more expensive ones, these respond very well to EQ settings on the iPhones and iPod. Flat really sounds flat and you don't really want that for most types of music. I guess the bottom line is these are probably not the best headphones for hip-hop and electronic music.
However, mids and highs are near perfect and I have never head headphones in that price range sounding so good.
One big negative is that Apple still does not sell replacement silicone jackets and you will need some sooner or later.

    A true waste of money

    Written by MP from Halesowen

If your music includes no bass frequencies at all then the treble performance here will satisfy you with its clarity. For most music though the lack of bass response will render these earphones unusable, as the only way to hear any bass at all is to push them gently into your ear canal and hold them there. Even then they sound more like overhearing the tinny hiss of someone else's leaky earphones.

The buds themselves are long and spherical, which makes your ears will have no difficulty in rejecting over a few minutes. Halve this time if you are walking.

Make sure you check your seller's return policy.

There is a bug in this apple

Written by CC from TUNBRIDGE WELLS

I got the Apple In-ear phones to work with my iPod touch. The performance is adequate, not outstanding, but you cannot expect much from tiny drivers. However, my gripe is this: after a while everybody must loose an ear bud - or at least my son does. After a while of handing out replacement buds from the snazzy little case they come in, I am almost out of buds. No problem, must be able to get a replacement set from the Apple store -NOT! Apple do not sell replacement buds! Their solution is to buy another set of phones for sixty quid! For the first time in my Apple life (which began with the Apple 2) I have to say, "That is @$&* ridiculous" I shall buy a non Apple set that does have replacement buds and I bet there nust be loads of other people in the same fix. Come on Apple, this is something Microsoft would do. Listen to your customers .

    Aye theyre not bad!

These fellas do the job, theyre comfy and theyre white.

I know some of you have been wondering, the volume controls do not operate my iphone 3G but the pause/play/fastforward button does operate. all buttons operate a macbook when used with it, should you feel the need/too lazy to stretch to your keyboard.

Also, many of you have been asking, and i can confirm - these survive the washing machine!!

Iim not too bothered about it sounding great but rely more on the comfort factor. these are comfy, but lack bass as has been mentioned in other reviews.

    Great Headphones!

    Written by SG from Farnham

I purchased these despite the strange reviews. they are brilliant, great sound through all tones, block out alot of ambient noise (great for the train) comfortable as well.

i use these with a iPhone 3g and the only control that doesn't work is the volume, but i kenw this before buying them because I ASKED THE SALESMAN. simple.

there are great, stop moaning. and yes, i do love Apple.

    Waste of space

    Written by AP from Manchester

Have had this set for a year, wear them for just an hour a day to and from work.
The ear buds fit but after a while they start to fail and you lose them and its hard to find a new set. The mesh that screws on come off easy and has lost one but you are given a spare set. But rubber molding near to ear phone has split on both sides.
So buy them in a sale or buy another make
