    99% Perfect

This Product douse what it says on the tin, Absolutely Brilliant to have with a MacBook with an External Display, Its Quality is just like plugging your monitor into a normal DVI Port. 1% off because of the cable being a tad short but no big problems.

    Expensive

I'm amazed that people find this cable expensive. It's €19.00!! Does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Nice little product, worked a treat for linking my 20" Intel iMac up to a 20" Samsung display. Very simple and no setup required. It would be nice if it was available as a wire (maybe 0.5m) so there was no need for a DVI cable.

    Works with my HD TV

    Written by EE from BOLTON

    14-Jul-2008

Yes this cable works with My HD Tv perfectly but you do need a separate cable that connects hdmi to DVI. I got the Second cable in currys for a cheaper price than it is on here, as it costs twice as much on here, so good luck, but all the same, picture is crystal clear. Good Buy.

Great for output to HD TV!

    Written by AS from LONDON

I bought one of these with an XTREMEHD HTMI>DVI adapter cable to hook up to my Sony Bravia.

I have a 2.4Ghz 20" iMac and a Sony Bravia KDL26S201OU 26" LCD TV and as soon as I plugged it in the screen flashed a couple of times on my iMac and I was up and running!

The Displays section recognised the TV and the colour profile and automatically set it up for 1080i. The only observation is that the 'overscan' setting makes the picture go off screen at the top and the bottom so I disabled that.

Great bit of kit for previewing my video when I'm editing with Final Cut ^^

    Does the job well

This came as an add-on cost for my Macbook but was just what I needed to connect it to the HDMI socket on my TV (with a DVI-HMDI crossover cable that cost twice as much!). DVI-D - in case you are wondering.

    This is a DVI-D not a DVI-A or DVI-I adapter

    Written by PC from Tonbridge

    24-Nov-2007

This adapter is a DVI-D so will ONLY carry a digital signal, therefore you cannot use it in conjunction with a DVI to VGA adapter. If you want analogue then buy the Mini DVI to VGA adapter. Simple as.

    DVI-D = Digital Video Interface - Digital
    DVI-A = Digital Video Interface - Analogue

The reason that Apple make it DVI-D not DVI-A is so that you can use it to get a Full HD output for a 23" or 30" Apple HD display or any other HD display.

Why would you want analogue DVI anyway?

For me the product works perfectly, it makes sense to be a cable and not a chunky adapter that will inevitably be knocked and put stress on the connection. Nice.

I hope this helps some people.

    Amazing bit of kit

I use it to connect my iMac 20" DC to a 40" Bravia 40w , the picture is amazing , really impressed.

So much so , now I'm saving up for a Mac Pro and going to use the Bravia as my monitor now

1080P is perfect for a computer monitor imo.

This product is a bargain !

    Read the product description?

    Written by AP from NEWBURY

    31-Mar-2007

This product is fantastic, and does exactly what is described. It may appear to be a lot of money for an adapter but in all honesty there's no way to fault it.

People who have given negative reviews of this product have clearly not read the product description, specifically what mac works with the cable - it's obviously not going to work if you have a mac that is not listed by Apple in the product description.

    Good investment.

    Works Fine, but...

    Written by DK from Langley

    12-Mar-2007

I've given this 5 stars because it works just like its suppose to and I've had no problems with with. I have a couple of questions for Apple however: A. Why is it so over priced? That's quite alot to pay for a few inches of cable. and B. Why put a Mini-DVI on your machines in the first place? I have a MacBook and there is ample room on the side for a proper sized DVI port, and this is one of the smallest laptops around, so why bother?

Having said that however, it is an essential piece of kit if you want an external display or projector, and there is no other option to be honest. So go for it.

    Great!

    Written by GM from GLASGOW

This adaptor works perfectly fine, but people keep buying it without reseraching and rating it low thanks to them not finding out which one they need such as the person with rev A PB12" with mini vga bought this mini dvi adpator, WRONG ONE!! Why should product rating suffer because they bought the wrong one? And the one with the eMac with mini VGA! check before you order!

    Just Works

    Written by NC from Burntisland

Ordered one of these with my new MacBook and it arrived in the box with the computer. Works great - turns the Mini DVI port into a DVI port. Runs fine with my Samsung and Dell LCD TVs. Remember though, this cable doesn't carry audio.

Worked with my iMac Core Duo too.
