    Does the job

Not sure what the complaining reviewer means by a 2" cable, mine is 3" (over 5" inc plug/socket). Also, don't see the need for this to be longer as presumably the additional monitor would come with its own VGA lead? Good value, well made and, just simply, it does the job perfectly. Only gripe with the setup is that only mirroring is supported. Surely the main point of an additional monitor is to have more screen real estate (e.g. Photoshop palettes)? Easy to overcome though; just install "Screen Spanning Doctor" and you can set up the monitors as an extended desktop.

Great for those who want to use a notebook as a desktop replacement. Made really well however it could be longer. Worth buying for sure

Ensure you know what you're buying!

Beware of what you're buying, people. This cable is specifically for the computers that are listed in the review, and is intended to take you from Apple's proprietry mini-DVI connector (such as the one featured on the 12" Powerbook G4) to normal VGA.
This is not, as mentioned by a previous reviewer, simply a VGA extension cord. You plug this into your computer, then the long cable that comes out of your monitor plugs into this.
Apple need to make extra cable-buying easier in the Apple Store, especially as each of their computers need different cables...

    A 2" cable??? Don't make me laugh.

This product wouldd be fine, if it weren't for the ridiculously short cable that forces you to buy an additional VGA lead to use it with. You are therefore far better off simply buying a non-Apple cable with converter from any store that sells computer components instead.
