    After trialling this for a few days I removed because it was far too bulky.
    However, after removing the 'juice pack' I discovered the charging socket
    on my phone would no longer receive the apple charging plug rendering
    my iPhone totally useless.

    Thanks Mophie, looking forward to getting my money back.

    NB There is one star on this review only because zero wasn't an option.

    Avoid: Most Disappointing Mophie Product (Design & Manufacturing Flaws)

    Returning product after third replacement, will not be buying another Mophie accessory. Each headphone jack (which is needed if the case is on) has failed within days of normal / careful use. This is a design issue of the case to need an extension, and manufacturing defect that each fails so quickly. More importantly, two of the cases have failed within weeks (both USB plugs), which unlike the dodgy headphone cables: can't be replaced for £6 plus P&P after 12 months.

    Most importantly, the USB is for charging only - no compatibility for iTunes sync etc (unlike previous models), which isn't highlighted at all, just the slow awkward 'convenience of wifi sync'. Plus the other marketing copy states "Complete iPhone protection from top to bottom" - which isn't true, as I've literally always had this case on, but have multiple marks to the iPhone's enclosure.

    I've found this very disappointing compared to previous iPhone 4s Juice Pack Air, which lasted 14 months before the USB failed. The Technical Support from Mophie is equally frustrating: standard responses without anyone actually reading or writing. They expect you to buy a whole new JuicePack, if the bottom 'cap' has any form of failure (like the weak USB connector) after warranty ends.

    Incomplete functionality - need 2 cables - (USB) and (iPhone lightning-USB)

    The Juice pack for the 4s was great, no issues within the life of the phone. However, bought one for the iPhone 5s and life gets complex, difficult and disappointing. Syncing needs to be by WiFi with power on which is inconvenient in places like aircraft. Cannot download photos without dismantling the pack to use the lightning to USB option, can not sync photos on WiFi, downloading photos does not function with the supplied USB cable. This may a software issue but needs to be fixed. So, you need to have 2 cables to down load photos - not an ideal travel option. Still good as a power source to prolong the active life of the phone, simply poor functional behaviour.

    Doesnt work at all

    It does not charge my phone, which was the reason i bought it so this makes it completely useless. a quick search on google shows apple formus filled with equally frustrated users. I cannot believe they are allowed to sell this product completely unfit for purpose.

    I've been using the Juicepack product line for years now, been very happy with the version supporting 4 & 4s.
    When I got my 5s I immediately ordered a iPhone5 version. Was happy until connecting the set to my computer..
    It started to charge, but no iTunes.. Switched over to my Macbook Air - same result. Wrote an email to Mophie Support complaining about the missing sync.
    The answered back that this was not an error, but part of the disign! Apparently you're supposed to sync via WiFi..
    As everybody knows, this will not work when using VPN etc. I'm a professional using the phone for work, so I sincerely hope the design FLAW is fixed shortly.
    I of course returned the product.
