    Ok

The good- it extends my battery life probably double. The bad is that you need a little adaptor to use the headphones. Mine went faulty, I emailed them on their contact page and heard nothing.
Can't seem to auto wifi sync when you switch over to the battery, but maybe that's finger trouble but it shouldn't be that complicated. Also won't sync to my computer unless I don't do it through the battery. A tad heavy, but if you need extra juice worth considering.

    Aesthetically Pleasing But Flawed

    • Written by from Nr Redditch

The case feels great and is pleasing to the eye, it fits well in the hand and doesn't add a great amount of bulk.

    BUT...

The case significantly interferes with my signal. I use the 2G band (strongest band in my area) and get it throughout my house NORMALLY. With the addition of this case it reduced my bars from full to 2 and where I would normally get 2 or 3 bars, the signal was gone completely.

I really wanted the case and thought it was just a fault, so I got it returned and replaced but alas it came up with the same problem.

Great functions and design just flawed even thought it states in the manual "doesn't effect signal".

    Bad design! Second review attempt..

I've been the happy owner of Juicepack for both my iPhone 4 & 4s, so when I received my new iPhone 5s, the first thing to do was to pick up a Mophie Juice pack for this phone too.
When I came back from the Apple Retails store, I tried to connect it to my Macbook Air. The phone started charging, but no iTunes! I then tried to connect it to my work laptop - same result.
I immediately raised a case with Mophie support to report the faulty device. To my big surprise, I got an email back stating that this behaviour, was by DESIGN!! You're meant only to sync via wireless was the suggestion...
Everybody using a PC in the professional world, know that there's no way that you can connect you your phone with VPN up etc.

So Mophie, sorry to say this, but I returned the box. Very disappointed.
Get your design right and connect the last two cords to the micro USB so we can use this in the pro world as well!

    Does what it says

I have had my morphia case for just a couple of weeks and it has operated fine..... I did what they suggested and switched to the case when my battery indicator reached 20% and my phone was then fully charged so the 80% additional capacity claimed seems true.

The only fiddly issue, as reported elsewhere, is that a small extender may be needed in order to use the headphones socket. This is supplied.

I also found it a little scary when I first used the case as I couldn't see exactly how to separate the bottom part of the case and this requires a fair amount of force. However I persevered and managed to separate them and insert my phone ok - to some extent it is reassuring that the pieces fit together so tightly.

Please note also that with the case on you cannot connect your phone using the apple USB lead. The supplied Micro-USB is fine but only charges and does not sync. Thus to sync with the Morphie case you will need to sync via WiFi. Not a problem in my case but just something to be aware of.

Useful but not as high quality as i would hope

This product is helpful and useful, also reliable but the finish came off quickly so if you want a pretty case don't go for this one also tempermental in inclement weather.

Happy but not ecstatic with purchase.

    Hefty price for poor results

From the beginning, I felt as if this case were defective. Lights don't light up when charging the case so I have no way to know if I'm really charging it. Can eek out one charge from the case before having to recharge it.

So I guess this case just missed the boat for me. Not worth its hefty price tag. Am on a mission to replace it!

    Absolute Pants!!

    • Written by from LLANELLI

Charged my phone OK, but when connected to the power to recharge I got a message on my phone's screen saying "Accessory Not Supported". Common fault apparently, according to many forums. Morphie's own website recommends charging phone and case separately, which "should" solve the problem. Did not solve it. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

    Does the job but ..

    • Written by from Nottingham

Purchased my Juice pack the day it came available back in Feb because I was constantly running out of battery before 3pm most days. Very annoying when you are travelling as carrying your charger with you at all times is a pain and getting access to a power plug isn't always possible. So please, please please Apple sort the battery life out on the next model! (I really love the phone in all other respects BTW)

The Juice Pack is ok as it does get you recharged back to 80% which solves the battery life problem.

    Things I don't like are:

The case was very slippery when I first used it. So much so that I end up gluing a texture piece of rubber to the back of the juice pack to prevent dropping my phone. It looks naff but it was that or probably break my phone from dropping it. I have noticed however overtime that the cover has become a little more 'grippy' as it has aged though.

It does get quite hot when its in the hour long process of charging. So much so you can't have the phone in your pocket.

I quite like the depth of the pack as it makes the iphone5 a little more 'blokey' or 'manly' in its dimensions (which is fine if you are a bloke) ... its just a shame the substantial extra length it puts on the phone (about 16mm longer!)

The final issue is having to use the audio jack extension. Who can be bothered carrying an two inch long cord extension about! As such I don't ... and tend to listen to music less often, or if I'm travelling and killing time I end-up pulling the base of the Juice Pack unit off to access the normal phone jack (after it has charged the phone. Either way not a great solution.

So all in all. 5/10. Does keep my phone operating which is the main thing so can't do without it.

    Not great.

I had a couple of these for my old iPhone 4 and loved them. From 1% life they'd charge past 100%. This is not the case with the new iPhone 5 helium cases so much so that I complained to Mophie and they sent me another, I carried on using the other for a couple of months and its now totally stopped working, seems like the 2 halves of the case aren't making a connection, I also feel as though the case doesn't really protect the screen very well. The new case is much better in terms of battery but still no where near as good as the old iPhone 4 cases. Generally charges to about 70-80% from almost flat, the first case was sometimes only charging to 20-30%. Feeling its not really worth the extra bulk. I'm not sure if its the fault of the iPhone 5 and the way it works drawing more power while its plugged in. Another thing that was odd, the 2nd one they sent me is a very different design and holds the iPhone much more snugly than the first case, the phone clicks in rather that slides in.

    Connection Issues after 2 months

    • Written by from Addlestone

I purchased my juicepack Helium from Mophie at the end of February 2013. I am now encountering connection issues with charging. I am in the process of returning the item as it's just unacceptable for an item to fail so soon after purchase.

    Good but bad

    • Written by from Leigh-On-Sea

Sometimes battery life isn't enough on the iPhone 5 - this is supposed to fix that. It does, it bulks up the phone by a large amount, and the iPhone doesn't exactly go in that easily, you kind of have to whack it in and then snap it - the battery life overall is good, I'd say it essentially doubles my battery life if I need to use it. The fact it's so bulky and thick is something you have to deal with, but for what it does? Perfect. Can charge the iPhone and the case at the same time, and it works as it should, but not perfect.

Good but not as good as I thought

    • Written by from Cardiff

Got mine in the post today I'll be testing it's extra juice capabilities throughout the day, the phone doesn't slip into the case because of curved bits of plastic attached to the bottom of the case so I needed to prise it in, after clipping on the battery bit I found the fit is nowhere near as snug to the phone as I thought, not completely dissatisfied but could be a bit more polished for the price

good for the battery and the protection. what's really bad? you need to use their audio adapter (included) if you want to plug your headphones. this is a bad quality adapter and the sound quality suffers.
