    Waste of money

Snaps on the clips incredibly easily, and you would assume higher quality product for a higher than average price. Caused damage to the surface of my MacBook. Tried to contact Speck with regards to the clips a few weeks ago, still no reply. Do not recommend at all.

    Speck 13" SmartShell

Again same issue as both previous reviews. However whilst trying to clean the grime if my MBP the case snapped for literally no reason. I have friends who have higher quality cases bought of amazon for £7; I would never recommend this product. Period

    Ruined my MacBook Pro

    • Written by from Hinckley

Same issue as previous reviewer. I placed my MacBook in this case as I thought it would protect it from the elements whilst in my bag. Couldn't have been further from the truth as I've now ended up with several black marks over the lid and base of my MacBook. Look elsewhere as this case is massively floored.

    beware of trapped grit

    • Written by from hounslow

i took my Speck case off for routine cleaning and to my horror I found lots of dark blotches and pits in the surface of my MBP, deep enough to feel with my finger nail - caused by grit getting trapped under the Speck case and acting like sand paper. The particles were probably in the bottom of the back pack.
The irony is I bought this case to protect my MBP and keep it in optimum condition for good resale value when I upgrade but I've ended up with permanent damage that will significantly devalue it. I emailed Speck but, unsurprisingly they didn't bother to reply.
If you buy this case you will still need to keep it in a neoprene sleeve or risk permanent cosmetic damage.
