    Bass that blows my mind

    • Written by from Sunderland

Bought these as a treat not so long ago. The sound was very clear and the bass is mind blowing. It is very well made and hopefully it will last me a very long time. I find the silicone eartips uncomfortable due to it being slightly heavy. Its not a bad thing as that means that this earphone is well constructed. So I wasted no time in replacing the silicone eartips with MoBeast memory foam eartips. I came across these memory foam eartips from other reviews of in-ear headphones. I can say upon replacing the eartips, I found that its alot more comfortable and sits in the ear better. This is important for me as I wear this earphone to the gym all the time and with the aid of MoBeast memory foam eartips, it prevents it from dropping off half way through exercising. Not to mention, it definitely also improves the sounds quality and decreases sound leakage.

    Better than I expected

    • Written by from KINGSTON UPON THAMES

I'm not an audiophile but I do appreciate a good solid sound from my headphones. I had previously listened to a set of Solo HD's and was disappointed with the quality given the size. Instead I plumped for a set of these and I was not disappointed this time round. The various reviews said that despite the bass being strong the mid and highs were muddy. Well not in my experience listening to a mixture of dance, rock, RnB and Hip Hop. The Beats sound great and given that I also purchased a set of RHA 750i and some Atomic Floyd's to compare I can honestly say the Beats win hands down. The bass is solid and is hard to believe that it comes from an earbud. The Atomic Floyd's were flat too treble heavy, the RHA's gave a natural sound but were again too flat for my liking. These earbuds are also very light and easy to forget they are there unlike the heavy RHA and Atomic Floyd's. Would I recommend these earbuds?? Definitely

Design issue with jack connection causes problems

    • Written by from West Dulwich

I give these earphones two stars because the sound is really good, which has to be acknowledged.
The problem I have with them is that I have, just now, had to request the third replacement, for the same exact issue.
I keep my phone in my, generally jeans, pocket while I walk my dog for a daily total of around 6 miles.
The phone is an iPhone 5 and I have it upside down, so the cable can come out of the bottom of the phone. In each case, after a maximum of a few months, I have lost sound to the left earphone. In each case, a gentle giggle/push at the connection point between the cable and jack will re-establish a connection to the left earphone, but that is only temporary.
So, maybe it is a question of my size, relative to the size of the jeans pockets and the length of the jack, but the fact of the matter is that I am finding this connection not to be reinforced enough to avoid a loosening of the cabling inside the jack.
If you don't generally walk with your phone in your trouser pocket, wile listening to music, you should be OK, otherwise, you should consider the strong chance that you might have the same problem I have run into, too many times to be a coincidence.

These headphones are amazing. They kick out much better sound than my solo hd's and are just generally much better. They are strong, durable and do not break. they come with a variety of ear buds and also come with 2 years warranty.

I got this item today from O2. I thoroughly enjoy the rich and deep sounds it generates. A total revolution to the way I appreciate all my music. Good value for money!

    great sound, but keeps scratching.

    • Written by from London

first of all this product sounds fantastic, the bass is really powerful and over all great sound quality for the money. But the only drawback that I experienced with this earphone (and to mention that I have the black color) is that I experienced scuffs and scratches and even the color rubbing off around the edges and when either of those things happen it revels a different color underneath which is a white color. I do not think it is acceptable because for the price that you pay for these, beats should really make the paint job a little bit durable than what I have experienced and I do recommend who ever is reading this review that are getting these beats earphones should get these in white which I will be doing.

    Earphones

    • Written by from Dalry

I'm a bit rough with my earphones so I have went through a few expensive pairs & lately the Nixon micro blaster which I was impressed with but yet again another set failed on me !! So now trying these and straight away I can hear the sound quality much clearer and the bass is a lot better.
Will wait & see if these ones last me!!!
What I don't like about them is I feel they stick out my ears a bit but think this mite be due to showing off the make of them....don't know though..........but apart from that 10/10 for sound

    The Funky Beats!

    • Written by from Rayners Lane

Very nice sounding headphones, with plenty of bass. They seem to be well constructed with various options for in-the-ear comfort. They even have a little pouch to keep urbeats in, whilst not in use.

I guess time will tell if the 5* rating is deserved but my initial impressions are very favourable. However I wonder how much of my £80 was wasted on the un-necessary wow factor of the packaging.

In comparison to other headphones I have tried previously, the £80 so far seems to be money well spent.
