    Is it a prototype?

Bought two, returned one that didn't work. Doesn't work terribly well in real life, cadence sensor slips down on crank. Construction seems brittle and water ingress will probably end its life prematurely. Fitting with rubber bands means you have to ensure positioning is ok.

Needs a bunch of different Apps apparently when one is expected.

I'm using the Polar heart sensor and app to capture my bike rides instead, at least that gives some interesting stats.

Faulty and poor service by apple store

Did not work - links fine with bluetooth but speed sensor faulty
Allied with poor service when purchasing and subsequent phone call to the Milton Keynes store made for a sub standard Apple experience.

Easy fit and setup with one minor issue

    • Written by from Southam

Bought this along with the HRM which sadly failed after 3 months, but the SC is still going strong fingers crossed. Fitting the unit to my MTB was very easy and only took 20 mins which included removing the peddle. In terms of design the main unit is great although can be easily knocked out of alinement but if you do a quick visual check before setting off then all should be good. The minor issue I fell is the magnet that you fit to the spoke of the back wheel. This doesn't tighten on very well and is prone to spinning round or sliding along the spoke. I have added some tape to prevent the sliding but it still tends to swivel round the spoke. I would have preferred a better method of fixing maybe across 2 spokes for a more accurate placement. That said I haven't had issues with the sensor not picking up the revolutions of the back wheel even with some quite extreme terrain. I will be looking to fit a different magnet soon.

    All you need

I bought this to accurately tell me my speeds, distance & cadence - all of which it does

I've paired it with Strava too, works a treat.

I've used this indoor's on the Turbo Trainer and outdoors on 50km + runs (in the glorious Scottish weather!) and its not missed a beat.

Easy to install - unless you have a particularly tight pedal crank - but should take no more than 10 mins

Instructions are none existent in the packaging however so visit the Wahoo site for a video tutorial.

    Can't recommend this enough.

Next purchase is the Wahoo heart rate monitor to tie it all in.

    Brilliant- great with Strava

I bought this and Wahoo Fitness's Bluetooth heart rate monitor 'Blue HR'. Together they allow me to collect all the data I want when cycling and running. The Wahoo app is really well designed and can upload a completed session to loads of fitness apps. I have just opted for Strava and Dropbox. Dropbox can receive about 8 different file types, I have settled for GPX, CSV and Wahoo's own file format. The quality of the hardware is comparable to my backup Sunnto T3c. To finish it all off the iPhone lives in a Topeak Ride Case with stem cap mount.
