    Literally trash!

So, I bought a nice shinny red gum plus from the apple store in Glasgow. I had completely run out of battery on my iPhone, which I was stupidly using to navigate my way around as a tourist. The first problem, which was my own fault, I assumed that the gum plus might have had a little life in it right from the box.... Incorrect! So, pretty useless. This didn't make me mad, no one said it would. Nonetheless, £75 wasted.
On arriving home, I charged the gum plus as per supplied instructions. All the lights were lit but it had held absolutely no charge! I tried again, same issue. It was eventually sent back to the manufacturer in Germany, for them to check (at my cost). Guess what? It tested fine! But, when it got back to me, it was no different. It looks like its charging, it just doesn't! I'm no idiot, this thing just didn't work. And, neither apple or just mobile seemed to be bothered! Buy a mop his juice pack. Mine is amazing! And, if you buy the red one, you'll be doing a little for charity too! Just to clarify, I have several other just mobile product. It's just gum plus which troubles me. It's heading dans Le poubelle!

I bought one of these 3 years ago when I had the iPhone 3G as the battery never got me through the day, used it with the iPhone 4 too - well after going Android and BB for a while I am back on iPhone 5 to my delight the thing is still working, and I am able to use the lightening cable to charge the phone, so it sits in my bag and charges while I'm out, I charge the battery via my Mac or another USB charger I have at home. A wall charger would be great for it at this point, but I am happy to say I got my money's worth seeing as they are not cheap. It does take a while to charge so do it overnight night, but excellent little gadget I can get at least 2 full charges on my iphone and a bit more.

    Good piece of kit

I'm surprised by the very negative reviews this has received. I have had one of these units for quite a while now, and have always found it useful. I tend to take mine camping just in case I need to recharge my mobile, or Satmap (GPS for walking trips). Sure it is slow to charge, but this has never really bothered me. Tend to be able to get a couple of re-charges from it, which for me makes it worthwhile.

I have had this product for over a year and found it really useful.
It takes a little while to charge but keeps it's charge if it is switched off properly.
I charge it from the mains with a USB Apple plug or from my laptop.
I check it only every 2-3 weeks and only find it has lost it's charge if I have left it on.
I got mine in DutyFree so cheaper than other suppliers.
It is always in my handbag and I can charge my phone or iPod when I am out and about for a whole day and they are having heavy usage!

    Disappointing

It takes forever to charge - like hours and hours and hours. Also they don't provide the necessary accessories for charging it at an electrical powerpoint. Not worth the money

    Don't waste your money

This product looks good but the performance is rubbish. The batteries take an age to recharge and then self-discharge over a matter of days. When you really need it, it'll be flat.
