    Best Headphones on the store

    • Written by from Leicester

I got myself a pair of these a few days ago and I can't take them off my head! The quality is unbelievable. When listening to songs I've listened to many times before, I notice different elements of the tune that I have never noticed before due to the super quality and amazing noise cancelling technology. They are a great all rounder for every genre out there!

So if you're looking for a great pair of headphones, look no further..

One of the best consumer products I have ever purchased

    • Written by from Chester

Seriously, I am almost forty years old and I have owned a pair of these for nearly three years, they are superb. I unplug the cord and use them to cancel out the noise when I am vacuuming the house and they are great if you want to cancel out the TV in the lounge when someone else is watching it. The sound quality with music is very good, but not as good as dedicated headphones of a similar price, although on balance I would take a pair of these as they have much greater utility.

    Happy Days Indeed

A simple review of an outstanding pair of headphones.

Build Quality - Excellent, high end materials, solid connections, soft ear pads, sturdy & light

Sound - Strong base, not too over dominant, clear treble with great acoustics. They really do bring your music to life, combine them with some ear drops (joke!) & you will hear things in your music you never heard before.

Noise Cancellation - Brilliant, much improved on the already excellent QC3's

Fit - Very comfortable, as with anything, they take a little getting used to but after a very short time they fit like a glove, so to speak.

Value for Money - Personally, I think they are an absolute bargain. I believe they are increasing in price by £20 from £279.95 to £299.95 (they are the higher price in Bose stores already) so you may want to grab a pair before they do go up.

Summary - Great headphones with brilliant build quality, amazing sound, excellent value for money, very comfortable fit, what more could you want!? Buy them, I did & i'm exceptionally happy otherwise there is no way in this world I would have sat & typed this review ;-)

Wonderful but could be so much better

    • Written by from Dublin

I have had loads of different headphones some good and some not so good, but recently I've pushed the boat out and treated myself to a pair of Bose QuietComfort15. Expensive? Yes extremely, but hey, this is a serious brand so what do you expect... They look great and they come in a really beautiful protective carry case which is important if like me you are a frequent flier.
When you put these headphones on they are extremely comfortable and they feel and sound great as you might expect. They even include a really cool iPhone cable accessory.
So what's the problem, I hear you ask..? Well two issues really. Firstly while the noise cancellation feature is wonderful the actual sound leakage is terrible. Sometimes I wear these headphones in bed while my wife is reading with the light on, but she keeps asking me to turn them down even if the volume isn't that high. It was only when I asked her to try them on that I could clearly hear the problem. The sound leaks VERY badly indeed. Secondly its fine if you're sitting down but try walking outdoors with these headphones and there quite noisy, you can hear a lot more than just your music. I have a pair of Sony MDR-NC40 noise cancelling headphones which cost € 100 euro (less than a third of the Bose price) and Which? Magazine say DON'T BUY but to be honest they sound and feel just as good as the Bose
I'm a bit disappointed, but hey…I still love them, and I would recommend them if you've loads of spare cash..I really wish I could have given them more stars

The Bose QuietComfort 12 Noise Cancelling headphones are the best headphones on the market at the moment, they look quality and feel like quality and the best part is when you turn them on and blast your tunes. You cant hardly hear anything else in the room only your music and in my opinion you can enjoy your music much more like this. They come with a great case and also sound great. I would recommend them to anyone

There is no better way to fly!

    • Written by from Hellerup

I am a frequent flyer, and have tried multiple headphones - for traveling purposes - before these from Bose, and finally i found what i was looking for. They are excellent for travel and sounds amazing. The reason i only rate this as 4 star product is that i don't feel they are as comfortable when you are out on the streets walking.

    Absolutely amazing!!!

    • Written by from Stonehaven

They may be expensive, but these headphones are worth every penny. The noise cancelling is just out of this world. They really do eliminate the ambient noise and allow me to fully focus on coursework. They are very comfortable to wear and provide excellent sound quality. The headphones feel solid and have a nice feel to them. Very good build quality. The carrying case is prefect for them as well, looking the part as well as providing excellent protection.

Noise cancelling in an office environment

    • Written by from Brabrand

I work with computer programming in an open office with 15 people. I'm very sensitive to noise and it often breaks my concentration when people are speaking nearby in the office.

I'm now using the Bose QuietComfort 15 when I need to concentrate, and it has exceeded my expectations:
Monotone noise like computers and ventilation is completely removed.
Non-monotone noise like people talking is severely reduced - much better than the industrial ear-muffs I had been using before. If I play music at a low volume I can completely drown out the rest of the office sounds.

Using the QuietComfort as a headset with iPhone or Skype took some getting used to because the microphone input isn't echoed in the headphones so I don't hear my own voice as load as I'm used to, but the sound quality plus blocking out the office noise makes this my best headset ever. It's like having your own noise insulated phone booth when taking a call.

The fact that the sound quality when listening to music is an order of magnitude better than any other headphones i own is just an added bonus.

    Halves journey times

    • Written by from Wembley

Many hours of travel every week, the bulk of which are of the tube. As soon as that little green light turns on, it just gets peaceful. The majority of the background noise disappears. The conversations around you are reduced. The spill over of other peoples' music is eliminated. You have a much nicer journey. When they are on they are snug, very comfortable, and in wintry weather warm!
It's not perfect. Walking with them makes for a thudding in your ears.
Overall, even with the hefty price tag, this is a beautiful product.

    Almost perfect!

    • Written by from Chelmsford

    These headphones are almost perfect!

The noise cancelling is amazing and when music is playing you can't hear anything. When music stops or is quiet there is sometimes some sound intrusion.

My only gripe with this product is it's sometimes lacking a bit of bass. It's not terrible but as volume increases from around 60% treble and midrange increases, but some bass frequencies don't.

The sounds quality of the headphones is excellent and as such you do notice a big difference between 128k and 320k songs, so make sure music on your device is high quality.

For the money it would have been nice to have a rechargeable battery and charger to save replacing the batteries and probably would have paid a little more for this feature.

The interchangeable cables are handy and I'm just hoping/waiting for Bose to make a wireless module!

    Amazing

I have been looking for a long time for some headphones, i have looked at them all from in ear to over head $40 to $300 and after trying these i was hooked. i have had them for two weeks now and can honestly say they are amazing. For pure audio quality they can not be beaten. Put them on and turn on and you can tell you have something special, they cancel out all noise. You can try any type of music on these and they make it more enjoyable then ever before and i have a bose set up at home. Eminem to classic, they are special. I was caught between these and the beats audio studio, they both sounded great but for all round sound not just bass these are the ones, also the build quality are so much better.

    Best Headphones

    • Written by from Clontarf

I took the plunge on these headphones about a month ago , and have never looked back. The previous "QC3" headphones I purchased five years ago were amazing, and are still in full working order today. The Quiet Comfort 15 Headphones from Bose are simply a masterpiece. They utilize both active and passive noise canceling technologies which eliminate almost every background noise. They are unparalleled with any other product in the market. and are " Bose's best performing headphones ". Put them on, flick the power switch and you create a new world of your own for both you and your music. Packed with an extra "inline control & microphone cable" for use with Apple products. These headphones deliver a combination of noise reduction, audio performance and a comfortable fit unmatched in the industry.

Absolutely superb, but almost too good...

    • Written by from Ferwig

I bought these today from the Apple Store and winced slightly as I keyed in my PIN, but as soon as I plugged them in, any misgivings were gone.
To feel as if I was in the concert hall when listening to Karajan's 1969 remarkable interpretation of Beethoven's triple concerto with Oistrakh, Rostropovich and Richter; that alone made these headphones worth the money. The sound quality is remarkable, and to put a price on such clarity, fidelity and subtlety seems almost churlish.
These headphones will, however, expose the limitations of your music library. You'll regret being parsimonious with your bit-rates; MP3s don't really have the depth and richness these cans will want to bring out, even at 256 and higher. You'll want to go back to your CDs and re-rip them in a lossless codec to appreciate the rich sonorous bass, the beautifully balanced mid-tones and the clear, airy trebles. Hang the disc-space - if you love your music you'll be smitten by these headphones and will want to do them justice.
They do show up the differences between different pieces of hardware, too; my iPod Classic has a more attenuated sound than my iPhone 4, while the Macbook lies somewhere in between Who would have thought that, after years of searching, I'd find something approaching audio heaven with a telephone? Funny old world.
Your mileage may vary, of course, and while the overture to Rheingold can be felt as much as heard, with the amazing E flat drone insinuating itself into the very bones of your skull, a piece of hip-hop or house may find these headphones lacking.
Me though; I'm one very happy bunny.
