    Innovative and Value

Lots of bad reviews on here so thought I'd offer an alternative.

I was really frustrated with the amount of mouse batteries I was going through (using both iMac and Macbook Air on a constant basis) so gave this a try. I've been using mine for 4 months without a single problem and without having to buy batteries... exactly what I wanted.

It is fiddly to fit the power pack in to the mouse but once it's in it's in - and should take 2 minutes max (it took me 30 seconds). If it was an official Apple product it would snap in perfectly but you'd waste that same 2 minutes feeling smug about yourself :) Those with 'it just works' tattooed on their foreheads are clearly put off beyond reconciliation by having to do.. something.. but for the rest of us this is a brilliant, innovative product which saves that horrible "Disconnected" message popping up and scrambling around for batteries at the most unfortunate time.

It's small, elegant and looks the business next to my Mac. If you find yourself frustrated about replacing batteries this is the perfect solution.

    Very good idea

If you're anything like us, with a magic mouse you will end up going through loads of high power batteries keeping it working. This solution is perfect! Just pop this onto the mat overnight or whenever you're not using the mouse and it charges the batteries inside for you.
Cons: The battery pack can be difficult/fiddly to fit. You must put it on the pad to charge it.
Pros: It is economical and quite simple to use.

It works well, but some niggles

Having seen the reviews elsewhere, I can see both sides of the story.

I've been using the charger for about 3 months now and generally does what it says on the tin.

Installing the battery pack can be fiddly. It is a very tight fit and in fact is a bit too big, but once it's in, you won't notice it.

I haven't had any charging issues, but there is a problem with the battery level indicator on iOS. Generally, it won't update unless you take out the battery pack and put it back again (turning on and off won't work).

But otherwise, I find it works as it should and generally the charge lasts long enough for me not to have to recharge often.

Ignore the Mac OS battery status

    • Written by from WELSHPOOL

I just pop my Magic Mouse on it overnight once a week and never have to worry about replacing the batteries. It works just as you'd expect, except the Battery Level reading in the Mac OS bluetooth menu only refreshes when you take the battery pack out of the mouse and re-insert it. Which means it can be showing 100% for days, then all of a sudden it drops to 6% and then stops a minute later. Apart from that little annoyance it's a convenient way to charge up your battery-sapping Magic Mouse.
