With Bose it just gets better and better. Ive had these headphones for almost a month and I have to say they are easily the best; in terms of sound quality, build quality and fit.

Before these headphones came out I had the previous model which only had a mic. I was told that Bose did not have the rights to include volume control which was disappointing. Also with the previous model the fit was good but not perfect. As soon as I heard Bose were to introduce this headset I was extremely happy as it solved these two problems. The sound is good as ever with rich bass. Another thing that I noticed with other headphones is that whenever I used the bass EQ on the iPhone the sound usually distorted slightly. With these headphones I havnt had any sort of distortion at all.

The fit is brilliant. They fit in my ear like no other headphones. The stay hear tips sit in comfortly and no matter how much you move it wont fall out your ear and you cant even feel them. I found out myself when I had to run for a bus, they didnt move let alone fall out.

You can pause, rewind, forward, skip a track or go back to a previous track by a few clicks on the mic, and of course now you can adjust the volume without taking the phone out the pocket.

If you are thinking of buying this headset I highly recommend that you do, Im sure you wont regret it. The price may be on the high side but once you buy them you will never look back.

    Bose Vs iBeats by Dre

    • Written by from PONTEFRACT

I bought these after a far from good experience with Ibeats by Dre (£79.99). They were heavy, fell out at the slightest knock, useless for the gym, awkward to use on the tube or any kind of travel, only produced a good sound when a perfect fit was formed and the controls were useless. And dont even try to use these on your iphone, the experience is like talking while trapped in a mine shaft with your eardrums blown out. .......Anyway no more time on over priced bit of fashion / junk!!

These Bose headphones offer a perfect mix of in the ear and "over ear" music experience. They fit like a glove, don't need to be rammed in your ear, light, easy to use controls and great sound quality.

I chose these on the back of my Quiet comfort 15 that i bought about a year ago from Bose and these two products do exactly what they say with no fuss.

If you want a brand that delivers and doesn't spend its cash on marketing, buy these.

Remote control does not work on skip track.

    • Written by from London

Great sound as always but remote control does not work on skip track, forward or rewind. Defeat the purpose of using it hand free really. The volume control works ok. But just that. So another trip back to the store to return.

    Absolutely delightful!

    • Written by from Glendaruel

These are, by far, the most comfortable headphones I have yet tried. And the quality and the sound are both fantastic. You clearly get what you pay for! I have tried a very expensive Klipsch in-ear set, a Sony set and a very good Bose on-ear set. All offer good points, and bad points. My new Bose in-ear ones out-perform all the others. The ones that I find come closest for finish and sound are the basic Apple ones. They are, however, just not as comfortable. And my new Bose set works seamlessly with my iPhone.

You do hear a little external noise but, as a daily dog walker on country roads, I find this a particular advantage. If you want to take a chance and walk about totally oblivious to what is happening about you, this set might not be for you. If I really want to blot out everything apart from the music, I choose a quiet room. The effect is bliss!

    Amazing sound and comfort

    • Written by from Manchester

Reading review after review of headphones I originally chose the Etymotic hf3 Headphones and found they had no base and were exceptionally uncomfortable for me. Returning to Apple (where I received exceptional customer service) I exchanged them for the Bose MIE2i. the first few seconds of wearing them and hearing the sound quality gave me the wow factor I was hoping I would get from a decent pair of earphones. Would definitely recommend (although I have found it is personal preference).

Think carefully as to what you really want

    • Written by from LONDON

I bought these after owning a pair of Klipsch Image S4i which had good sound and all the necessary features. Eventually the play/pause/skip button stopped working after a year (I had used them at the beach), they still work but I wanted to try something else so I bought the new Bose headphones to have a good pair. Unfortunately I failed to thoroughly read the box and noticed when I got home that it says that these are NOT NOISE ISOLATING. Having only used noise isolating headphones in the past, I am not used to being able to hear a lot of background noise when walking down the street or riding the train. Sure, you don't hear yourself eating so loudly and you can hear better when someone talks to you. They are a little more fiddly to take in/out of your ears but they do stay in very well. They have great sound although you feel like you need to turn them up more to drown out background noise.
Summary: Great sound, stays in well but I would only recommend if you like non-isolating headphones or want to use them for running/sport.

Completely lost in music with Bose MIE2i Mobile Headset

    • Written by from Leicester

Recently bought my Bose MIE2i Mobile Headset, very comfort than any other products. I don't even feel that headset is in my ears when I am listening and can listen for a long time without any problem to my ears. Sound is better and better with every single detail. Bass is the ultimate thing in this headset. Really don't like to listen music with any other headsets since I started using Bose MIE2i Mobile Headset. Remote controls for my iPhone 4S works good without any problems. I would highly recommend to buy this product if any one are thinking to buy it, no regrets you will enjoy music in the way it must be done. Delighted with my Bose MIE2i Mobile Headset.

    THE BEST !!

    • Written by from lancaster

Had them since day one and have tried such a range of different 'in ear' amongst friends.
They are THE BEST - simply superior to every other model in terms of sound quality.

Tiny word of warning, I am on my third pair.. the remote tends to become intermitent with time then fail. The Bose store on Regent St are very good and replace them immediately when this happens.

Unbelievable Sound - Amazing. Shame that the Pause Button has broken!

    • Written by from London

Well what can I say, these are amazing headphones. I was blown away the first time I listened to music through them - jumping up and down with goosebumps...yes I am that much of an anorak!

Having been given the Beats/Dr Dre earphones as a birthday gift and being bitterly disappointed with the sound quality and the fit - and then for the remote control to break and the sound to become crackly after only a couple of months - I returned them for a full refund. There was no way that I wanted the same headphones again, very poor in my opinion (unless you only listen to bass heavy music and don't have sensitive ears).

Having researched online and asked friends for their advice/opinion, I opted for the Bose MIE2i's - incidentally the same price as the Dr Dre earbuds.

I was not disappointed,. They deliver a sublime, intense, warm sound - like walking around with a top notch stereo system strapped to your ears. Plus, they are the most comfortable earbuds I've ever tried.

These would have received five stars had it not been for the fact that after only a few days use, the Play/Pause button on the remote control has broken completely. I'm hoping that this is not a common problem and I've just been unlucky. As I intend to take them back to the Apple Store for a replacement. Has anyone else had this problem with them?

Other than this issue, I would recommend wholeheartedly.

    Simply Amazing

    • Written by from Solihull

After reading some other comments I really wasn't sure if to get these or not. However I am SO glad I did. The earbuds are by far the most comfortable ones I have ever had, the buttons on the remote/mic and the mic itself are a brilliant addition to the standard headphones.

It's worth noting that although the "compatible" section below misses out a lot of other Apple products, these headphones will work with everything apart from the original iPhone (due to the silly headphone socket on it) however the remote won't work on all models.

Furthermore if you have brought these headphone it's now worth playing about with the Music EQ settings in your iPhone/iPod - the rock setting can now be coped with a lot better than standard Apple headphone can.

Long and short of it - the sounds it amazing, you can wear them all day with comfort and they'll work with more or less every device (only the remote might not work with everything). Great headphones, great value - buy them you won't be disappointed!!

    Fantastic in every way.

    • Written by from HOLYWELL

Bought these replacing a set of ibeats which the bud fell off in my ear and needed surgically removing. I'm so glad that happened because these outclass the beats in every way. More comfortable, much more detailed, rich and vibrant bass. tremendous clarity that lets your ears breathe. Sounds like listening to a hifi for the most part and a good one at that! Been for a fantastic 4 mile walk today half of which came back along a busy road. Yup, I could hear the cars, but with the volume I was listening to (a bit quieter that concert level) it wasn't a distraction from the music at all. Played Franz ferdinand, Elbow, Beatles, Thompson Twins, Oasis, Julian Cope, the Shins sound amazing on them, as does Enya's first album. There's a bit at the beginning of Spitfire by public service announcement where a plane flies through the middle of your head, made me duck first time. Have been addicted to these over the past few weeks, unlike any headphones I've ever used.

Pricey, but a fantastic set of earphones

    • Written by from Chelmsford

Having gone through many pairs of cheap earphones that typically stop working after 6 months, or have inline volume controls that simply mess up the sound after a little while, I decided to actually spend some proper money on a new pair of earphones this time. I generally wear earphones for extended periods when working at my desk, so they need to be comfy. In addition to that, they need to be loud without affecting others around me. I can't get on with most earphones that protrude into the ear canal (I hate being able to hear myself chew if that makes sense to anyone?!?), but I noted that the design of these differs to many that are on the market, so I gambled and luckily it paid off. Sound quality is fantastic - really rich bass, and a nice crisp mid and high range. The inline controls work well with my iPhone, iPod and also with my Macbook Pro which I wasn't expecting. They're nice and loud, really comfy to wear for long periods, and I haven't had any complaints when I turn them up. Really, an exceptional pair of earphones, but of course you do get stung with 'Bose Tax' unfortunately. There's no denying these are expensive, but you get what you pay for. For anyone like myself that can't get on with the more common design of earphones that protrude into the ear canal (I'm thinking the V-MODA, Sennheiser CX-880 etc), these are a good choice, but save yourself some money and go for the Bose IE2's if you're not desperate for the inline controls.

I bought these on the strength of the reviews here (and previous experience with Bose) but was SO disappointed. The earphones sound fantastic when used in a silent room but as soon as you step outside into the real world all you hear is the sound of everything around you - traffic, passing conversations, everything. The music playing takes second stage. I tried all of the ear tip sizes and jiggled them around every which way but just couldn't get anything even approaching a decent sound from them. Shame.

The best I've tried so far!

    • Written by from Eye

I currently have a drawer full of headphones - either poor sounding, uncomfortable...or both.

My ears must be a bit of a funny shape because all of the ear canal type of headphones I've tried feel a bit odd, and generally a re a bit boomy. All of the in-ear ones that I've tried have been a bit uncomfortable and tend to fall out (although generally sound OK).

I bought a pair to MIE2i earphones and they are great sounding and incredibly comfortable...you literally forger you are wearing them.

£120 well spent if you ask me!

    Simply Amazing

    • Written by from Dublin 20

I've had the privilege of owning many sets of headphones and I can safely say that these are the best in its class. Previously I owned the Apple in-ear headphones which were excellent but quite fragile and broke after a few months.
It will take a few moments to get used to these Bose headphones, as they can feel like there not fully in your ears but after awhile you get used to it and really enjoy the comfort and beautiful sound. These particular headphones come with 3 different sized earbuds, a carry case that not only looks stunning but can also be used to house your iPhone for when your listening to your music and finally a remote for skipping music. If you hold down the button it will activate Siri. I highly suggest anyone that wants a new pair of headphones should get these, they are definitely worth the extra few Euros.

These little babies have just made my IOS device and music subscription complete. :)

    What a great birthday present!

There always appears to be a little controversy in some circles regarding Bose, but if your into dance music like myself then I find I personally like them, actually alot.

It does take some getting used to...

On first listening, if your not used to there sound it could almost appear distorted, but perservere, because shortly you will learn to appreciate those deep and rich qualities, and you will begin to notice sounds in your music that you didnt no even existed before.

There is the basic but extremley usefull on/off and vol switch, which allows you take calls as they come through, then switch back to music afterwards, plus reduce/increase volume.

Not so important, but the headphones also look good and discrete. In a smart black and white, with different sized changeable earpieces, plus they come in a practical black leather zip case for travel.

I would struggle normally to justify paying this kind of price for a pair of mobile/travel headphones, but I personally feel these have been worth every penny.

    Best headphones ever!!!

    • Written by from Skjern

Benn struggling for years to find good headphones that would actually fit my ears without popping out all the time. These headphones are brilliant for everyday use and even when exercising (running). They have never fallen out, and when music stops you simply forget that the plugs are still in your ears. No discomfort AT ALL. Price is high but they are worth it.
