    Good for Cyclists!

    • Written by from Edinburgh

-I can wear this for hours with comfort as i don't really feel it comparing to standard headphones
-it's not noise isolation so i can hear the traffic while cycling

Had this for ~2 years and the cable recently started to break! Monster iSport would be an option now as they do better strong cable i think

Unbelievable Sound - Amazing. Shame that the Pause Button has broken!

    • Written by from London

Well what can I say, these are amazing headphones. I was blown away the first time I listened to music through them - jumping up and down with goosebumps...yes I am that much of an anorak!

Having been given the Beats/Dr Dre earphones as a birthday gift and being bitterly disappointed with the sound quality and the fit - and then for the remote control to break and the sound to become crackly after only a couple of months - I returned them for a full refund. There was no way that I wanted the same headphones again, very poor in my opinion (unless you only listen to bass heavy music and don't have sensitive ears).

Having researched online and asked friends for their advice/opinion, I opted for the Bose MIE2i's - incidentally the same price as the Dr Dre earbuds.

I was not disappointed,. They deliver a sublime, intense, warm sound - like walking around with a top notch stereo system strapped to your ears. Plus, they are the most comfortable earbuds I've ever tried.

These would have received five stars had it not been for the fact that after only a few days use, the Play/Pause button on the remote control has broken completely. I'm hoping that this is not a common problem and I've just been unlucky. As I intend to take them back to the Apple Store for a replacement. Has anyone else had this problem with them?

Other than this issue, I would recommend wholeheartedly.

Excellent, but now eclipsed by Apple EarPods

    • Written by from London

New review required, as the new Apple Earpods give these excellent headphones a serious run for their money. I shall be drawing comparisons throughout.

Sound: The sound quality is superb, but slightly thin and lacking in bass response. This is more galling given that the Apple Earpods give a much warmer and bass-rich sound, for a fraction of the price.

Comfort: The Bose headphones still remain the more comfortable option - the StayHear tips are ingenious, and have kept the phones in my ears when I go running.

Features: The control switch is in the most convenient place, very much like the Apple headphones. On mine, the volume+ button doesn't click properly, whereas the centre and volume- buttons do. The clothing clip is a welcome addition (the Apple phones don't have this).

Price: These headphones are 4 times the price of the Apple offering. I was happy to pay that at the time... now I feel somewhat ripped off, especially as I got my Apple Earpods bundled with my iPhone 5.

I'll be generous though, and only knock one star off for the price and slightly lacking bass response compared to the new Apple headphones.
