    Bose in ear head phones

    • Written by from Loughborough

The sound quality was excellent but I found that the small ear buds were too small and loose and the medium were too bid and didn't go in far enough to give me the depth of sound. also the track skip fiction was sporadic, with the back skip very difficult to get to work!

Great but not mind blowing... not for orchestral/rock/hardcore/metal lovers

    • Written by from Ragnall

I manage to find a set of these on offer for around £95. And seeing as my next most expensive pair of head phones I ever owned were a £30 set of in-ear Sensheisers, I thought I'd treat myself. I firstly clicked these onto some pretty standard pop-chart music... and they were outstanding, next onto some dub-stap/trap music, again... awesome. Then next I clicked them onto some hardcore/metal music, and ufortunately they did not perform at all... there seems to be no true high frequencies from these which is really dissapointed because at every other level they perform amazingly!
On a good note, they are as comfortable as everyone says, and once you've worn the same set a few times they seems to be just set for your ears and they never become irritating.
As said before... Great set, but not the entire package unfortunately if you're a lover of all music!

Volume automatically lowers and goes to zero unprompted!

    • Written by from London

Just got it last week and using it with iPhone 4. Had a very weird annoying issue of sound automatically lowering and going to zero every few minutes. Guessing that the headset was faulty as none of the other reviewers have experienced this issue. Ordered a replacement and hoping to get a proper one this time.

The positives: Best sound I have experienced so far and dont think I will ever want to use the cheaper products. The in-ear design is extremely comfortable and very useful while running. In the absence of the volume lowering bug, would have given it 5 stars.

    Good Sound, Poor Noise Isolation...

    • Written by from Tonbridge

These headphones are great in terms of audio quality but they lack a little bit of the mids and highs, however they have some seriously punchy bass to make up for the lack of mids and highs! They are very comfortable to wear providing you can find the correct fit (there are 3 sizes included), but, the noise isolation of these headphone is absolutely terrible. You have to turn the volume up to a considerable level to even start drowning out background noise. Also, the cord could also do with a few more inches added too it but this is no significant problem.

Overall, for about £120, I'd expect a little bit better sound quality and noise isolation considering the cost of them, but if you are a runner and spend a good proportion of your time in the gym, then these may be the perfect set of headphones for you, but otherwise, there are better choices out there for the same sort of cost...

Think carefully as to what you really want

    • Written by from LONDON

I bought these after owning a pair of Klipsch Image S4i which had good sound and all the necessary features. Eventually the play/pause/skip button stopped working after a year (I had used them at the beach), they still work but I wanted to try something else so I bought the new Bose headphones to have a good pair. Unfortunately I failed to thoroughly read the box and noticed when I got home that it says that these are NOT NOISE ISOLATING. Having only used noise isolating headphones in the past, I am not used to being able to hear a lot of background noise when walking down the street or riding the train. Sure, you don't hear yourself eating so loudly and you can hear better when someone talks to you. They are a little more fiddly to take in/out of your ears but they do stay in very well. They have great sound although you feel like you need to turn them up more to drown out background noise.
Summary: Great sound, stays in well but I would only recommend if you like non-isolating headphones or want to use them for running/sport.
