    Bose in ear head phones

    • Written by from Loughborough

The sound quality was excellent but I found that the small ear buds were too small and loose and the medium were too bid and didn't go in far enough to give me the depth of sound. also the track skip fiction was sporadic, with the back skip very difficult to get to work!

Really good inears...i have compared them which beats and sennheiser...

    • Written by from Bruton

I bough them about 18-24 months ago and useing them with all of my "toys"; Phone, tablet, laptop, playstation 4 and vita... So they are in use;) There is no conection problem after manny months of use and there is no "cracks" when you movieig cable. They are really comfortable and is easy to forget that you have them in ears. They r really good if you an active person too. I've been snowboarding with them, running and cycling (Mtb) and they always was in place. Comparing them to beats... That's just my opinion but I will choose Bose,I think that sound quality is better and they fit better in ear.. My friend bought sennheisers some model for about 70£ sport version and it's exactly like beats...good but not enought..I will recommend Bose mie2or mie2i to everyone who like good sound quality and comfort and don't wont to spend a fortune..I really like to try Bose notice cancelation ones but in my opinion they are a bit too expensive...

    Not Great for Airtravel

    • Written by from CHIPPENHAM

Having tried to use them this year on a Air Canada long haul flight, I can say they don't work well at all. They caused terrible interference rendering them useless. I had to use the terribly uncomfortable ones they provide you with in flight. For use with the iPhone 4S they are great, comfortable and great sound, but for some reason they didn't work in flight, shame!!

    poor noise isolation

    • Written by from West Horsley

having just parted with £100 for these I am not that impressed. Sound quality is nice if you are in quiet room. I used them at the gym and all I can hear was the noise around me and not my music. I am going to give them a bit longer but not that impressed...once opened and used I cannot send back so ebay it is....

Great but not mind blowing... not for orchestral/rock/hardcore/metal lovers

    • Written by from Ragnall

I manage to find a set of these on offer for around £95. And seeing as my next most expensive pair of head phones I ever owned were a £30 set of in-ear Sensheisers, I thought I'd treat myself. I firstly clicked these onto some pretty standard pop-chart music... and they were outstanding, next onto some dub-stap/trap music, again... awesome. Then next I clicked them onto some hardcore/metal music, and ufortunately they did not perform at all... there seems to be no true high frequencies from these which is really dissapointed because at every other level they perform amazingly!
On a good note, they are as comfortable as everyone says, and once you've worn the same set a few times they seems to be just set for your ears and they never become irritating.
As said before... Great set, but not the entire package unfortunately if you're a lover of all music!

    Bose is The BOSS

    • Written by from Cardiff

I wake up to music from my Bose speakers everyday and they make my day. Expecting nothing less than epic sound and great bass from these earphones, I bought these for my Ipad. What better combination could it be other than legendary sound product meeting the legendary Ipad. Absolutely delighted to have these, and I had actually returned B&O in ear earphones for these and they are fabulous as always. Sorry B&O this time Bose is the BOSS.

    Good for Cyclists!

    • Written by from Edinburgh

-I can wear this for hours with comfort as i don't really feel it comparing to standard headphones
-it's not noise isolation so i can hear the traffic while cycling

Had this for ~2 years and the cable recently started to break! Monster iSport would be an option now as they do better strong cable i think

    Very poor sound isolation

    • Written by from ROYSTON

If you're in a silent room listening to these, then they sound fine. Nothing amazing, just fine. Walk outside the front door and the birds singing drown out the music. You will hear everything going on around you and the music takes second fiddle. No pun intended. Build quality is fine, the remote is a bit fiddly as you have to look at it to check which button is which. The three different sized ear pieces - and I've tried them all, really don't help the isolation of external sound and I've given up with them. They for the most part sound as though you've really nice ear buds on, but they're at a point of being not in your ear properly and so the sound sounds thin. I've stuck them on ebay... some mug'll buy em... After all, I did!

Unbelievable Sound - Amazing. Shame that the Pause Button has broken!

    • Written by from London

Well what can I say, these are amazing headphones. I was blown away the first time I listened to music through them - jumping up and down with goosebumps...yes I am that much of an anorak!

Having been given the Beats/Dr Dre earphones as a birthday gift and being bitterly disappointed with the sound quality and the fit - and then for the remote control to break and the sound to become crackly after only a couple of months - I returned them for a full refund. There was no way that I wanted the same headphones again, very poor in my opinion (unless you only listen to bass heavy music and don't have sensitive ears).

Having researched online and asked friends for their advice/opinion, I opted for the Bose MIE2i's - incidentally the same price as the Dr Dre earbuds.

I was not disappointed,. They deliver a sublime, intense, warm sound - like walking around with a top notch stereo system strapped to your ears. Plus, they are the most comfortable earbuds I've ever tried.

These would have received five stars had it not been for the fact that after only a few days use, the Play/Pause button on the remote control has broken completely. I'm hoping that this is not a common problem and I've just been unlucky. As I intend to take them back to the Apple Store for a replacement. Has anyone else had this problem with them?

Other than this issue, I would recommend wholeheartedly.

Remote control does not work on skip track.

    • Written by from London

Great sound as always but remote control does not work on skip track, forward or rewind. Defeat the purpose of using it hand free really. The volume control works ok. But just that. So another trip back to the store to return.

    Fantastic in every way.

    • Written by from HOLYWELL

Bought these replacing a set of ibeats which the bud fell off in my ear and needed surgically removing. I'm so glad that happened because these outclass the beats in every way. More comfortable, much more detailed, rich and vibrant bass. tremendous clarity that lets your ears breathe. Sounds like listening to a hifi for the most part and a good one at that! Been for a fantastic 4 mile walk today half of which came back along a busy road. Yup, I could hear the cars, but with the volume I was listening to (a bit quieter that concert level) it wasn't a distraction from the music at all. Played Franz ferdinand, Elbow, Beatles, Thompson Twins, Oasis, Julian Cope, the Shins sound amazing on them, as does Enya's first album. There's a bit at the beginning of Spitfire by public service announcement where a plane flies through the middle of your head, made me duck first time. Have been addicted to these over the past few weeks, unlike any headphones I've ever used.

Excellent, but now eclipsed by Apple EarPods

    • Written by from London

New review required, as the new Apple Earpods give these excellent headphones a serious run for their money. I shall be drawing comparisons throughout.

Sound: The sound quality is superb, but slightly thin and lacking in bass response. This is more galling given that the Apple Earpods give a much warmer and bass-rich sound, for a fraction of the price.

Comfort: The Bose headphones still remain the more comfortable option - the StayHear tips are ingenious, and have kept the phones in my ears when I go running.

Features: The control switch is in the most convenient place, very much like the Apple headphones. On mine, the volume+ button doesn't click properly, whereas the centre and volume- buttons do. The clothing clip is a welcome addition (the Apple phones don't have this).

Price: These headphones are 4 times the price of the Apple offering. I was happy to pay that at the time... now I feel somewhat ripped off, especially as I got my Apple Earpods bundled with my iPhone 5.

I'll be generous though, and only knock one star off for the price and slightly lacking bass response compared to the new Apple headphones.

    Comfortable, but...

    • Written by from Brighton

Very comfortable, stay in the ear and you will forget they are there: no pressure like from the ones that go inside your ear canal.
Lack base, the rest of the sound spectrum is fine.
Now, why only two stars? The remote control is not as easy to use as in Klipsch head phones, for example. The shape of the buttons is not instantaneously registering in your fingers, you don't know if you are pressing back of the remote or the side with the buttons, or if you are pressing the middle button or one of the other, volume up/down, buttons. It is like one long button split in three. Yes, you can operate the remote control (while it still works) but not in a hurry.
But OK, its acceptable, until it stops working. And it happened two months after the purchase. If they cost £10 then I could forgive them, but not for £120!

    Simply Amazing

    • Written by from Dublin 20

I've had the privilege of owning many sets of headphones and I can safely say that these are the best in its class. Previously I owned the Apple in-ear headphones which were excellent but quite fragile and broke after a few months.
It will take a few moments to get used to these Bose headphones, as they can feel like there not fully in your ears but after awhile you get used to it and really enjoy the comfort and beautiful sound. These particular headphones come with 3 different sized earbuds, a carry case that not only looks stunning but can also be used to house your iPhone for when your listening to your music and finally a remote for skipping music. If you hold down the button it will activate Siri. I highly suggest anyone that wants a new pair of headphones should get these, they are definitely worth the extra few Euros.

    Nice!

    • Written by from Hornchurch

These little babies have just made my IOS device and music subscription complete. :)

    What a great birthday present!

There always appears to be a little controversy in some circles regarding Bose, but if your into dance music like myself then I find I personally like them, actually alot.

It does take some getting used to...

On first listening, if your not used to there sound it could almost appear distorted, but perservere, because shortly you will learn to appreciate those deep and rich qualities, and you will begin to notice sounds in your music that you didnt no even existed before.

There is the basic but extremley usefull on/off and vol switch, which allows you take calls as they come through, then switch back to music afterwards, plus reduce/increase volume.

Not so important, but the headphones also look good and discrete. In a smart black and white, with different sized changeable earpieces, plus they come in a practical black leather zip case for travel.

I would struggle normally to justify paying this kind of price for a pair of mobile/travel headphones, but I personally feel these have been worth every penny.

Completely lost in music with Bose MIE2i Mobile Headset

    • Written by from Leicester

Recently bought my Bose MIE2i Mobile Headset, very comfort than any other products. I don't even feel that headset is in my ears when I am listening and can listen for a long time without any problem to my ears. Sound is better and better with every single detail. Bass is the ultimate thing in this headset. Really don't like to listen music with any other headsets since I started using Bose MIE2i Mobile Headset. Remote controls for my iPhone 4S works good without any problems. I would highly recommend to buy this product if any one are thinking to buy it, no regrets you will enjoy music in the way it must be done. Delighted with my Bose MIE2i Mobile Headset.

    Best headphones ever!!!

    • Written by from Skjern

Benn struggling for years to find good headphones that would actually fit my ears without popping out all the time. These headphones are brilliant for everyday use and even when exercising (running). They have never fallen out, and when music stops you simply forget that the plugs are still in your ears. No discomfort AT ALL. Price is high but they are worth it.
