Good, but not perfect! (I went with Harmon Kardon Sound Sticks)

I ordered these and the Harmon Kardon Sound Sticks.
I had the day to myself so set them both up and was able to switch instantaneously between the two. To cut this short I found the Bose to have slightly clearer/crisper vocals and punchier bass. But the way it integrates the sub into the satellites is quite poor and the sound from the sub is very directional if you have it to the side of your desk (as I have to). It isn't the end of the world, but it stops them being worth £300 if you have to set up in this way.
The Sound Sticks, whilst not quite as crisp and punchy, integrate the sub far better and the sound from the low end is not directional at all. As such I kept the Soundsticks as the Bose were 3 times the price and far from perfect. Personally, I also think the Bose products are starting to look a bit dated.
If you can position the sub in front of you, then its a slightly different matter. But bear in mind the Sound Sticks are a third of the price if you shop around, and they are more than adequate for the average user.
